This small, friendly hotel with recently refurbished public areas is a 5 minute drive from Parc Trostre retail park and the new rugby stadium.
Score from 166 reviews Very good
I stayed with my son because of a funeral in the area, the food was excellent, staff polite and helpful, couldn't of expected it to be any better for a quick stop, would recommend to anyone
that there was no ware to dispose of sanitary towels, of which I did say needs to be done for the ladies
The staff were friendly and the breakfast was ok.
The ensuite was actually a shower, toilet and basin in the bedroom. Not in a seperate room. The wallpaper was peeling of the walls and the room was damp. The pub downstairs was noisy and went on til 12.30am. We paid £60 for one night. Way over priced for this room.
Food and staff were excellent!!
Room was very dusty :-(
A real good yarn with the very friendly locals. Will be visiting again.
Clean tidy room, helpful staff. Breakfast was very good.
Bed not too comfy, shared bathroom, although we were aware of this when we booked. Noisy until late although again we expected some level of noise as the room is above a pub.
Staff were friendly and helpful , beakfasts were good.
Saturday night very loud music till 1 am. No light in toilet cubicle. Windows needed net curtains or the blinds needed to be drawn all the time. No spoon with tea making
The evening meal was excellent, and the service was very good. A good touch was nachos and dips as we waited for our meal. Staff very friendly. Easy to find, with good directions on the website. Safe car park was available at the rear. WI-fi was freely available and easy to access.
Bedroom was small and poorly finished. Bathroom didn't appear to have been cleaned properly. The web booking promised a sink in the bedroom, but that wasn't there. Road very noisy and close to window, with heavy lorries roaring past. Toast and marmalade not offered after cooked breakfast - first time ever seen that. My request, when booking, for lactose-free milk was ignored.
Everyone at the stag and pheasant were polite and friendly, we had an evening meal and breakfast and both were very good.
Breakfast good. Staff friendly. Beer good.
Room damp, no ensuite, power failure during night, steak tough.
The owners were friendly and had a positive disposition. Clean rooms and good value for money. A busy restaurant midweek shows that the standard of food served is of a high quality which indeed was our experience.
A bit remote, but a nice meal and a fun quiz night made up for the location.
good family run b and b breackfast was tops
Pub and restaurant were exactly what you'd expect and the service was good
Considering we booked (and arrived) with a small baby, it was a bit of a shock that they didn't mention that they were having Karaoke until midnight. Some noise is always taken as normal in a pub B&B and indeed, earlier on it was totally fine, just later the volume was cranked up.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean, and the price was good.
Location.. Food and service was excellent .
Front side rooms are noicey
I have stayed here a number of times in the last three years while my son was studying in Trinity Uni. It has become like a second home, the staff are always polite and willing to do anything to make you'r stay a pleasant one, the rooms are beautiful decorated and spotlaice clean, beds very comfortable you feel you have had a good nights sleep. The breakfast finishes the stay of. What else can I say. Wow. Thank you for the last three years making my stay with you unbelievable. X
There are no complaints.
Almost everything was excellent. Staff, Very comfy bed, excellent breakfast.
The bedroom decor very poor. The toilet seat broken and on the floor. The shower curtain didn't fit properly. If this had been done properly then this place would have been excellent all through.
Food in the pub was fantastic Location was amazing for my family visit (Ammanford) Amazing value for money Friendly staff
The friendliness of the staff and local drinkers
Couldn't close the roof window blind fully so had light early morning. Not too serious though.
I was only staying one night
I had a room above a noisy pub bar and it was along side a busy main road.On suite facilities were not up to much either
Communal bathroom facilities
Nothing, restaurant food was reasonable, staff tried hard
Should be avoided at all costs, dreadful place that should be removed from booking.com
The staff were friendly and helpful, and everyone was very welcoming. The breakfasts were delicious, just a shame we didn't get a chance to sample an evening meal - oh well perhaps next time...
The hotel location & garden, play areas are nice.. Good bar & excellent food.. Service also superb .
Room should be sound proof .. Roadside rooms are very noisy..
