This is the 2nd time I have stayed here, the hospitality from Delith and her husband is second to none and they remembered me from my visit last year. The room was spotless - ok, it wasn't a suite, but if you want a huge room - book into the Four Seasons! Can't recommend this place enough & I will stay again the next time I'm in the area.
Cleanliness Mattress Provision of flannels
Unfortunately, the room smelt as though it had been 'sprayed' by a tom cat. The room was very small for a twin and the en-suite was cramped, with a very small shower tray. The tiny hand basin had an unusual tap - it swung from cold to hot but, by the time the hot water had come through, the sink was full and the tap had to be turned off to prevent an overflow. However, we didn't complain, but the lady owner enquired if everything was alright the following morning, and when we replied in the negative, she became very angry and her husband shouted out verbal abuse, accusing us of 'always complaining' (which we hadn't) finally shouting for us to 'get out!' Their attitude was totally unreasonable, and we could not recommend their hospitality because of this. Additionally, the breakfast, although well-cooked and of a fair size, was not what we would consider a 'full English' as described because, unless you were staying at the Stag and Pheasant itself where the menu was different, cereal and fruit juice were not offered to those staying at the Stag Coach House - a distinction not made clear when booking in.
The coach house is run by a lovely couple with a convenient pub right next door the food was good and the coach house was comfortable
There seemed to be a bit of rivalry between pub and coach house
Great value, nice, cosy and lovely owners who were very hospitable.
Could do with upgrading to flatcreen tv, but thats being very picky.
The helpful and courteous staff Very cheerful breakfast chef ( who actually meant his "good morning")
First room I was offered, somewhat claustrophobic and dark. Second choice better, but still v.small. Flimsy doors. Sound carries from room to room.
We arrived late and the owners were very helpful and supplied us with cab numbers to get us on to our event. The owners were very friendly and our rooms were clean and tea/coffee and toiletries were supplied which was good. Our breakfast was also very nice.
Location and friendliness
The bathroom was very inadequate, could not even put the kettle under the tap to get water and impossible to get hot water in the sink
The garden, seen as one went to and from the breakfast conservatory was lovely and a nice view when having my meal. The room was clean and I had all I needed there.
In my room there was a skylight and a small low window appropriate to the building but not where I could comfortably get an outside view. The room felt very enclosed. My friend had only a skylight in her room. When I booked there was nothing to tell us that there was no normal window space and I wouldn't have booked if I'd known that. Creaky floors whenever I moved in the room but which could be experienced as part of the charm of the building but which I didn't!
good pub next door for food & drink bed comfortable
bathroom sink on small side
Small double bed with small room damage floor and shower handle no wi fi and no 3 g very poor connect
Beautiful views all around. Staff of both inn and pub were very friendly and helpful, suggesting places to visit. Breakfast was flexible and very tasty. Bed was comfortable, pricing very reasonable.
The friendliness of the staff, Comfortable Rooms. As the time of the breakfast was late starting, they made us up a pack lunch. The food in the pub was also good, with a friendly atmosphere.
It would of been nice for the breakfasts to start earlier, for people on business. 6.30/ 7am would have been better.
Staff and garden
Tile hanging off in shower. It's a shame the lovely couple running the guest house weren't running the pub as there was anaweful woman running that who was swearing and shouting at me for wanting to park in my car in the car parkby the accommodation!
cost,standard of cleanliness
needed a few bits sorting out,e.g.,shower head and roof light
I booked three rooms through booking.com The lady working there didn't ask about the payment and I didn't ask anything about that because I thought it will deduct from my bank .after we left only she call me and ask about the payment.i said it will deduct from my bank She is not satisfy then she call more than 25-30 times I went there to Carmarthen temple, when I praying and driving time she calling I was there with my friends and then she call and said that I am going to inform the police then I gave the new card details to her then she got the payment she didn't call me or not inform what happen I am not happy I spent more than £1000tk this trip and travel more than 5 hours from my home This £160 nothing to me But no good
comfortable beds lovely gardens, great friendly owners.Great choice breakfast/food excellent
Room and en suite were compact but very clean and the bed was very comfortable. I got a good night's sleep. Great full english breakfast at the adjacent Stag and Pheasant. Friendly staff and lovely gardens to sit in plus cat wondering around!
No internet but I knew about that beforehand as it is clearly stated in the details. Also 3G coverage not good in this area but that is not their fault. Worth bearing in mind, though, if you are in the area for business purposes and you need internet access.TV signal was very erratic and kept breaking up so I quickly gave up trying to watch it.
isolation + pub next door (for evening meal & breakfast)
Creaky floors of rooms above.
The room was lovely
The bathroom was small
Room was clean and well presented.
Needed soap /shower gel in the shower compartment.
Clean room, but rather cramped. Good breakfast in Stag and Pheasant
Ate in the Stag and Pheasant ( Stag Coach House and pub appear to be linked) and had the toughest steaks ever!
We found the staff very polite and helpful . The location is very good for adventure types.
The Stag Coach House was difficult to find.
