Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was cold i.e. Bacon, Black pudding and fried bread.....the egg was hot...well done. No problem....scrambled eggs in future.

Great food - dinner appetizers were super delicious as well as mains, morning breakfast was big, great choice of food, it was actually the best scrambled egg and salmon i had ever. Spacious rooms, easy parking, big nice bathroom, friendly staff. Close to Peak District and Yorkshire sculpture park we were visiting next morning. Would definitely stay there again. No complaits whatsoever

The hotel was excellent value for money . The service was quality and the food served was unbelievable felt like I was dining out in a Michelin restaurant. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating and it felt very comfortable being there . The hotel is beautiful inside and out and I will definatly stay again .

the 'art deco' style is good and the rooms are well proportioned. The staff are always friendly ( we have stayed 3 times now) and the restaurant has a good choice of meals if there is a party in the function room one of the rooms we stayed in was very noisy.

The room was huge large comfortable bed (spa bath in my room) the hotel has a good bar with proper English hand drawn beers (missing in so many hotels just selling expensive lagers or rubish keg smooth beers) I only had a bar meal which they put themselves out for but the restuarant looked good. Finaly a hearty cooked breakfast, tea and toast was served to your table (not congiled in a self service buffet)

Polite reception staff, good hearty breakfast Only thing was that we were in Room 18 which was close to a main exit and there was a lot of folk coming backwards and forwards throughout the night and the cleaner started hoovering outside our room at 8.15am on a Sunday morning......

Bright, clean and friendly. The room was very large and the bathroom contained a luxury whirlpool bath. Shower was adequate rather than luxury. Breakfast was well presented, well cooked and the staff attentive. Plenty of choice. Value for money was fantastic

The grounds were lovely, the room was great (loved the spa bath), the view was peaceful, the food was very good and the staff very friendly and efficient. We were advised in advance that there was a wedding reception at the hotel and that there would be some noise. The bed was really comfy and we slept very well because of it. Loved the stay.

Very impressive size room and well appointed bathroom. The food was excellent and cooked just as I had requested. All the staff that I met were efficient, courteous and friendly. A very good hotel at a very reasonable price. Lighting in my room was not conducive to working and it didn't help that at least two of the lights were not working.
