Price, quiet room, friendly, good breakfast
Pillows felt like a bag of cotton wool. Bed not very comfortable
Size of the room, and the whirlpool bath
A lovely spacious room. Polite, friendly, attentive staff and the evening meal in the brasserie restaurant was exceptional
Found the mattress hard and a little lumpy.
Large well appointed bedroom and ensuite facility. Excellent breakfast Friendly staff.
Nothing I didn't like in particular, only 10 minute walk to train station.
I liked the size of the bedrooms, so big!! The staff were all really friendly
Bar area was a little rowdy a large group of young lads been a little chavish
Bedrooms and bathroom were really nice and big
The food was absolutely awful and the chef blamed the supplier sadly the breakfast was also horrid. That together with half the menu not being available due to a dinner dance ruined a perfectly good evening. At breakfast I had to beg for more coffee and even ask for toast, better if it was self service than no service. The room was very large and the TV very small ?? Also the shower seemed to be plumbed in reverse trying to set the shower to be colder made it far hotter risking injury.
Very large well appointed room
Bath did not drain normally and pool of water under bathroom basin. Wi-fi speed really poor.
Overall feel of the place is welcoming with art deco theme, although a bit faded in parts.
Noise in the morning from other guests children in adjoining rooms.
Showerhead blocked but reception said they would get it fixed
Friendly staff. Restaurant very good and willing to meet personal choices. Excellent breakfast. Would definitely stay again.
Shower not working and after 1 night had to change rooms.
Good breakfast, excellent staff and cleanliness.
Great prices, big rooms ,fun bar
Sunday newspaper being brought to your room
The early morning refuse collection. It woke me from a very peaceful sleep. Later collection advised
Everything except...see net box
Lighting in bathroom and bedroom very poor. Carpets were stained. No water pressure in shower.
Had to book a Hotel on Le Tour weekend, in order to get to a friend's house that was on the route and subject to early road closures. Unfortunately this was the one we booked. Arrived to find the car park very busy and limited parking left. But the 3 spaces that were coned off became free as some young lads were taking the cones to use as goal posts as they played football among the cars! Clearly from the wedding party that was noisily in evidence on the outside terrace. Reception was good and friendly. Reserved a table in the 'restaurant' and went up to the room which was very large ('Superior'?) but had a basic double bed.The room was very warm despite the window was open to maximum - one of these stupid Health and Safety sort that only flap open from the top and admit minimal air. Did look in the wardrobe to see if a fan was available - not a chance, despite this room will regularly overheat and, being down the side, will rarely get the prevailing breeze. It was only 18C outside so I hate to think what the room is like when it's a hot day. Went down to the brasserie. Declined the offered table right where the kitchen door opened and sat in the lower area. Menus and drinks provided pretty promptly and pleasantly - the first problems then surfaced fairly quickly as 4 kids from the wedding rushed through the brasserie as a short cut. This happened a further 3 to 4 times before our meal arrived. So was mentioned as an issue when asked if 'everything was OK'? The waitress promised to sort it out and then disappeared off the face whilst the same kids made regular forays through the brasserie despite the lower area had then filled up. All steadfastly ignored by the staff despite a couple of meals being delivered nearly became casualties. After the initial delivery of drinks we had to wait 30 mins for the main course and service thereafter was increasingly poor. The food was reasonably good - the coffee was as bad as it gets.
Restaurant is good - had dressed crab then cod with baby leeks and seasonal vegetables. Room was large and well equipped.
Following what appeared to be a lovely full English, I had to break off from my travels mid morning as something at breakfast really upset my stomach. I won't go intothe gory details but I wasn't good until my stomach was emptied. breakfast was the only thing I had taken in that day.
Ive stayed here a few times before and always find the rooms lovely, stylish and comfortable.Spa bath was nice too. The staff are always pleasant, courteous friendly and helpful. Great place to stay.
Poor Wi-Fi and shower
Very nice food and friendly staff
nice spatious room, very clean and helpfull staff (I was checked in in the bar, while enjoying a drink, or two). The breakfast was well stocked. Top !
The hotel was lovely and staff made us very welcome. Breakfast - the Full English - was super. 10 out of 10 for service, comfort and ambience. We will definitely be returning.
