Score from 1552 reviews Very good
An excellent hotel, he was friendly and made us feel right at home. The room was spacious and clean, everything was provided for us. The rate was better than most places we stayed at. Thanks Chris for an excellent stay!
Nothing to complain about!
Chris was a great host - warm, welcoming, very helpful and entertaining. He was very helpful with any query that we had. The kitchen facilities were great and surpass what you would expect from a normal hotel. Wifi was excellent, the room wasn't too noisy and was right near a Lidl Given it's a 10 minute drive distance from the centre, it is probably suited to those with a car.
The room was cosy and warm the first nigh we stayed, but the second night it was a little cool (though not really a huge problem).
Friendly staff an location great for airport
Bed not very comfortable mattress needs replaced
Great value for money, ideal location for airport and city centre. Very helpful staff. Recommended
I was greeted on arrival by Chris, who couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. The value for money is incredible, I had a very comfortable stay.
owners very friendly, every where clean and tidy
I think this place is great!
I thought our stay was brilliant will definitely stay in this hotel again! Also lovely staff
Friendliness and helpfulness of the host. Basic facilities, but comfortable, clean and good value. Free street parking on the street immediately outside the hotel. Bus into centre of the city leaving regularly from bus stop close by. Fully stocked kitchen available for you to help yourself.
No heating on the first night (probably the first cold night of the Autumn). Had to wait a relatively long time for owner to arrive before I could check in. Emphasises the importance of letting them know what time you are arriving in case they are out.
Lovely to receive such a welcoming reception by the manager. Very friendly, helpful, a genuine nice guy. Room was clean, as was bathroom, great wifi, recommended.
The manager was helpful and chatty
Limited opening hours and the fact that we had to hear all about how many people were disappointed the night before when the manager refused to let them in after 8pm. Completely focussed on his needs and not that of the customer. I felt sorry for everyone who had nowhere to stay for reasons beyond their control.
Chris who owns it very nice welcoming and helpful Nice big rooms Tea & coffee facilities in room
Nothing really but parking could be an issue as none available at hotel we managed to park round corner
Friendly manager and very resourceful
value for money
wifi didn't work
Everything! Chris the owner was very friendly and efficient.
Nothing, the place was great!
Guess what: staff is really nice. Also, it's a clean a warm place. I recommend it.
Beds are a little bit uncomfortable. Also, the hotel is bit far from the city center. Anyway, there is a bus stop in front of the hotel with a frequency pass of 3-5 minutes, and in 15 mins you'll be at Liverpool One.
Very helpful management Clean, comfy cosy rooms
As soon as we arrived we were greeted by the owner/manager absolutely lovely man gave us advice on where we should go and things happening in Liverpool. Rooms were great for what we paid could not believe how nice they were for the cost of our stay.
Do not book a taxi with village taxis they're the most horrific taxi company we have ever had the misfortune to deal with. One thing you do not expected is to be sworn at and spoken to in an aggressive and intimidating manner when booking a taxi. The hideous service village taxis provide has no reflection on the Stalbridge hotel though. Would definitely stay here again 100%
Helpful manager, happy to provide information, chat. Good service
Nothing, perhaps would be good to include bus number that you can get direct to the hotel
Great value for the money, supermarket and bus stop are very close
a bit noisy when window is open - right at the crossroad; quite far from city centre - cca 6 km = 30 mins by bus
One toilet only working. Which had to be shared by two floors of guests. Dirty sheets etc.
Meeting the receptionist / manager was very helpful and promoted Liverpool with things happening in the city . He made sure I was comfortable.
The super comfy beds, The helpful lady on reception, Right opposite Asda,
The lack of plug sockets. No proper smoking area - felt abit uneasy in my going out clothes standing right outside on a main road at 11pm on the night. Taxis not arriving - not the hotels fault but just a heads up if you go on the weekend order the taxi at least half an hour before you want to go out. we waited over an hour.
price, very friendly owner helpful with information about connection to the centre, where are the attracions. location to the airport
it´s noisy, but for short stay ok
We travelled as a group of 9 party goers and couldn't fault it! Chris (owner) was so helpful and accommodating, the rooms were spacious and comfortable and it was only £12 in a taxi to city centre! Ideal for what we needed :)
Due to it's location it's vital you pre-book a taxi back from town otherwise you'll be seriously struggling any time after 2am - this is obviously no fault of the hotel though, just some advice!
