Comfortable large quiet room with garden view. Staff were very friendly. Great cooked breakfast.
cleanliness of the room and the friendliness of the staff
10 minute walk into to the village centre
Clean. Comfortable. Fresh towels. Personal touches, bowl of sweets in the room. Biscuits left with tea coffee and hot chocolate. Highly recommend. At breakfast there were around 9 pot's of jam. All different flavours! Great fry up to. Good selection of breakfast.
Would like check out to be at 11am. Not 10:30 and breakfast served until 9:45am.
We stayed at the Guest House as we were going to a wedding in the area. It was brilliant having our own self contained annexe as we did not have to disturb anyone when we came back later at night. The two adjoining rooms worked well with our two teenage daughters. The owners were welcoming and the breakfast was great !
The ensuite was a little tight on space but really a problem.
Large comfortable room and lovely breakfast.
Very large room. Lovely comfortable bed.
Kettle was full of rust and lime scale so unable to have a drink. Shower head needing replacing. Stayed on a Friday night and was some noise outside in the early hours. Dust and dirt in the window and curtain areas. Not as modern as we like
Lovely bright airy room with lovely view
Staff were friendly and helpful, made us feel welcome and at home. Room was fantastic, breakfast was lovely and plenty for everyone. Thank you for a lovely stay
What a lovely hostess - went out of her way for us. Would definitely return
The quality of the room , the cleanliness of the room, toiletries in generous quantities the coffee tea making generous supplies in the room, the excellent breakfast, easiness in finding the hotel.
Bathroom just a little too small, but otherwise perfectly adequate
Comfort. Cleanliness. Little extra touches like still and sparkling water in rooms, robe provided etc
Shower only, no bath. No evening meal on site
Comfy room, very clean, decent chairs, only a small thing but good size coffee mugs. Very good breakfast.
We only stayed one night. The lodge is quiet, lovely and very clean. You can get really excellent service and fantastic English breakfast!
Owner's was very friendly to me I'll certainly stay here again very good excellent conditions you had a good choice of breakfast Service was excellent a very nice garden you could relax in the garden when you like if the weather allowed would recommend this to any travel needing to stay in Selsey
Toilet seats not soft closest toilet systems of which I'm used to tended to forget sometimes but other than this no more problems
Friendliness of the owners Richard & Anne, excellent accessibility to rooms, the breakfast was tasty, well-cooked and hot, especially enjoyed the porridge
excellent bedroom and breakfast
Very nice b&b. Very nice staff and very friendly.will definitely suggest it
A little drive from Portsmouth
What to say..... After some of the B&Bs I've stayed in this one was a pleasant surprise! The room was large and airy, beautiful view overlooking the landscaped gardens, nice comfortable bed with crisp white sheets. One negative comment, the window only opened about an inch, so was a bit stuffy. Richard the host was quite nice, didn't meet his wife at all. Breakfast was nice with some lovely fresh fruit available. I'd definitely come back to stay here and would recommend whole heartedly.
Need more air in the room
lovely mature garden that our family room lead on to, very good cooked breakfast with lots of other choices too, will come back again ....
The location was very good you could walk to all local restaurants and beach, St. Andrews lodge was great we were very pleased the rooms were a very good standard & bathroom too, was really nice having fridge in room to, it was our first time in selsey and we would definitely go back to stay in st Andrew lodge :)
The rooms are quiet, as located in a side tract of the house, overlooking a very nice cottage garden.
Do not be mis-guided by the high rating. The rooms have probably been last refurbished in the 1980s, so everything is dated, which maybe has charm for some guests, but leaves you with a shiver, when thinking about walking barefoot on the carpets. WLAN did not work.
We enjoyed a pleasant relaxing short break in the hospitable care of Anne & Richard who made us most welcome and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. Beautifully clean, quiet and comfortable. As mentioned elsewhere in other reviews... fabulous breakfast every day which completely set us up for our days activities. We will go again.
This is very picky but the loo/shower room in our room was small. Really nothing we did not like.
Nice position near to town centre Lovely garden Friendly owner Great breakfast Able to sit in garden with drink & relax
Nothing to dislike
every thing was perfect, hotel, staff, location, parking, weather and what a garden which we were welcome to use at any time. Ron London
