The Stanley House Hotel is an eclectic 17th-century manor house set in the Ribble Valley. It has a restaurant and a bar, as well as free Wi-Fi and free parking. The spa offers special therapies, activities, and massage. All the bedrooms at the Stanley have their own bathroom with toiletries and a hairdryer. They are decorated in rich fabrics and feature under-floor heating, tea/coffee making facilities and satellite TVs. The Grill on the Hill restaurant serves a menu using the best Lancashire produce with award-winning wines and international beers. Mr Fred’s Bar and Lounge offers light dishes and a terrace. Blackburn city centre and Ramsgreave Train Station are both a 10-minute drive away from Stanley House. Preston is a 20 minutes’ drive away. Designed by leading spa consultants, the luxurious spa is located deep in the heart of the Stanley House Ribble Valley estate. Everything, from the moment we arrived until the moment we left we were looked after by a team of friendly professionals who know how to treat the discerning traveller! The food and the service were first class. One of my Favourite hotels.

Absolutely everything! Our third stay in as many months and we will hopefully return soon for a fourth visit. A superb hotel, with fantastic spa facilities and an award-winning restaurant. Nothing.

Excellent accommodation, food and facilities with friendly helpful staff. On first arrival the room was a little bit cold and took a long time to reach a comfortable temperature.

i liked the location i thought everything about the place was to expensive drinks were over priced the room was over priced i dont think i would stay there again and would not recommend to friends

ambience, setting, decor nd general feel of the place attention to detail in electric and mechanical maintenance. There was an over mirror light fitting missing from the bathroom. The TV system did not work properly despite a visit from the maintenace men who commented that teh system was too complicated and caused them lots of trouble

A superb hotel where attention to detail is evident in everything. Beautiful, tasteful rooms, a state of the art spa with the best products I have come across, wonderful food and friendly staff.

Just as we would have expected, spotless luxurious room, wonderful bathroom. Breakfast good, didn't sample any other parts of the hotel so can't comment on that. Would definitely go back!

Superb facilities with an award winning restaurant. It's a shame that the ratings only allow us to give it a rating of 'excellent', because it is actually far better than excellent. It is the best hotel that we have ever stayed in.

Arrived late due to business commitments. Unable to get a hot meal due to arrival at 10.15pm. Needed a hot bath after driving for 6 hours but after an inch of water the water stopped running. Did not want to bother the staff at 11pm

modern and so much nicer than any other hotels i've seen advertised or stayed in . the only fault i could find were the prices charged by the hotels contract taxi service which were way higher than those charged by another local taxi service on the return journey. avoid and use another local taxi service.

Sumptuous rooms, very attentive staff, lovely grounds. A little pricey, not bad if you can get a decent deal as we did. Location, just outside Blackburn, not particularly great but quite a few attractions within an hours drive. Lakes not too far away.

Pleasant staff, lovely room, breakfast excellent, restaurant food good at lunch time. Very nice to have found somewhere with attention to detail and with individuality. Would have liked to have seen the spa up and running, but I believe that this will be "on line" shortly.

Friendly staff. Delicious food. Quiet. Lovely room in new wing with nice view. Made a nice change from the usual hotels we stay in around Preston while visiting relatives. Fortunately they were all fully booked that weekend so we found this place. Pity there won't be a swimming pool in the spa opening soon.
