great location ,value for money, this was my 4th stay at this hotel
Excellent location and clean hotel. Staff very friendly and attentive.
The bed was uncomfortable and a very small double.
The breakfast was disgusting cups were filthy. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room. Did not have a shower all weekend as it was cleaner not to shower than to risk showering in this hotel. The bedding was grey and threadbare and the room and hallways were dirty and smelly. Complete rip off.
It was quiet. Very small room
Did not have maid service one night.
Close to victoria bus station. Helpful staff.
Price you had to pay to travel to west end. Staff going beyond the duties of what's expected. Having to pay for water. Then not being allowed to eat or drink in room. Not good if you take medication, room quite big , but only one chair.
Good location room clean
no tea or coffee making facilitys
centrally located breakfast included affordable for central london
double room was very small bathroom was miniscule staff could do better
The place was quiet clean and the room big enough being a standard double room.
Poor wifi connection, breakfast
Staff disorganised at breakfast we had to keep asking
Not much, breakfast was ok...at least the toast was delivered hot with the English breakfast.
The pillows provided were poor, one even didn't have a cover. The room was basically clean, but showing signs of age. The cleaners need to pay more attention to detail as a used disposable razor was left in the bathroom. The hotel does not provide tea/coffee making facilities & even specifies that drink & food is not to be consumed in the room.
I needed a hotel near Victoria Station and the hotel was very conveniently located.
My and my friend were staying there for five nights and we both agreed that the location of the hotel was great and the staff was very nice. They were very helpful and wanted that we have the best possible stay in London. Also, we enjoyed our breakfast a lot. We would definitely recomend the Stanley House hotel because of the location and the breakfast.
The problem was our room, the floor was covered with carpet and on it you could see short blond hair that none of us have. That was a bit disgusting. Also, we had a really tiny sink in our bathroom situated just beneath the cupboard so it was really hard to brush our teeth and wash our face. And there were spots of mold in the shower as well. I also think that for the price we payed the hotel could be much better.
Great location (5 min walk from Victoria Station) and staff! Very nice rooms - comfortable and clean! Higlhy recommended place for staying in London. Good price!
Good breakfast Great place
Central and comfortable
location, staff very good and pleasant
there was absolutely nothing that we didn't like
A friend and I (2 girls) booked somewhere to stay near Victoria station and relatively near the RAH, which we had tickets for. Location was superb for both venue and travel. We didn't require anything particularly flashy to sleep as just needed to get changed + sleep. Room had a shower and toilet in which I'd say for couples may be too small but for 2 friends was plenty for what we needed. Also let us leave luggage in TV room during following day while we did a bit of sight seeing. Perfect! Thank you
Handy location for railway and coach station, it really is walking distance even with heavy trolley cases. Breakfast included in room price. Small convenience shop over road.
Room small and no complimentary toiletries apart from small bar of soap. Only towels provided, no face cloths. Breakfast adequate but no choices.
Breakfast was nice.
The room was really small, down in the basement, so didnt want to open window.the floor was really uneven and the wardrobe was on a slant. The bathroom was hardly big enough to get in. There was quite a lot of dust on the top of things and the carpet was really old and ripped.
Breakfast was included
Wifi was horrible
Close to Victoria station 5 min walk
The room was on a lean and lots of stairs
The location is good, it is only a short walk to Victoria Station, - so easy to get anywhere in London. But then again, I would rather recommend picking ANY of the many other hotels in the same street instead!
Got a room which stank of sewer, it was obvious they were aware of this as the tiny bathroom contained 4 air fresheners. In addition there was mould several places in the bathroom. After complaining they moved us to another room the next day. This room at least didn't smell like a sewer, but had a bed so lumpy you could feel every spring in the mattress. (the bed in the smelly room was ok) Something was wrong with the shower in this room, the mixing tap didn't work. So you either got scolding hot water or freezing cold water. The bathroom door was difficult to open, and it was obvious that someone had tried to force it open with a crowbar or something similar, as big chunks of it was gone. It would have been ok that it was old and shabby if it had been clean, but unfortunately it wasn't even that... There is no air condition, so we needed to have the windows open all the time, which made it hard to sleep due to the traffic noise. Honestly, - it's hard to find anything positive to say about this place.
Location is excellent close to all you need 7mins from coach station and 5mins from the underground. Room is clean and change towels everyday. I would recomend it if you plan to stay all the day out.
Not to much is wrong thinking of what you paid for the location. Room and en suite is a bit small but not a problem if you just need it to shower and sleep. You might end up eating the break fast with other people at the same table in the breakfast room.
Location is perfect, staff s got a really good sense of humour, and you can leave your luggage there for free which is also really good
