For the past 20 years the Stanley View Guest House, close to the center of Wakefield, has been run by the same family. If you are a racing fan, the guesthouse offers easy access to Pontefract, Wetherby and York. It is also near many golf courses. The Stanley View Guest House includes three 19th century properties which have been converted into a comfortable 17-room guesthouse. The property is on the A642 York road, close to the M62 highway exit 30 and exit 41 of the M1. Hotel features include: comfortable licensed bar, evening meals, AAQQQ rating. The hotel is double glazed and centrally heated, has a full fire certificate and is open all year round. First floor suites are available. It is close to all local amenities including theaters, movie theaters and a variety of restaurants. So whether you are visiting family, going to a wedding or are on a shopping trip to Leeds, sightseeing in York or in the Dales, your stay will be very pleasant. Hotel Rooms: 17

Clean, smart, quiet, comfortable guesthouse serving excellent breakfast's and although I did not have a evening meal they did smell great. Gail the manageress was very nice and helpful. Lack of writing paper and envelopes in room.

The unique selling point of this guest house is undoubtedly the staff. Late evening meal, no problem, taxi booking, no problem, anything else I can do for you, no problem. And the biggest bonus - real home cooked food!

my wife and i stayed for one night and found the room spotlessly clean the beds were very comfortable and the staff were very helpful, the breakfast the next morning was freshly cooked, hot and plentiful, on the whole a very good experience and we will definately stay there again the next time we are in wakefield.

The location was good as we were attending a birthday party nearby, the price was really competitive and the standard of cleanliness in the room was to a high standard. We would certainly recommend this Guest House. The only thing we didn't like was that the bed was quite firm as were the pillows but that was just our preference and some people might prefer a firm mattress.

Large and exceptionally clean room. Comfortable bed. Excellent power shower with plenty of hot water. Excellent reception on flat screen TV. About a 10 minute walk into town centre. Very quiet. Instant coffee at breakfast - not for me. Go for the tea instead.
