The hotel was quiet so there were not many people around, however we were made to feel very welcome by the staff.
Our room could have done with some modernisation, however it was comfortable and value for money.
We stayed here as it was our friends' wedding. The staff were very efficient and friendly. The whole wedding was coordinated excellently and as hotel guests, it was a very enjoyable experience.
The gentleman on reception in the evening of 28 December when I arrived was extremely polite and helpful. He was welcoming and nothing was too much trouble.
The young lady on reception on 29th in the morning was cold, surly & unhelpful. While checking me out a man chatting to her, seemed to be an employee, was hanging over the counter looking at her computer screen. It was unprofessional. Doors & steps difficult to manage with no help.
Breakfast Scones with clotted cream & jam
We liked everything
The position was good. Close to the airport but not an "airport" hotel. It could have been excellent.
We arrived at 7.00 after a a 5 hour drive and just wanted to relax. There were three parties going on in the hotel and it was so loud that there was nowhere to relax. The rooms were quiet but we wanted to relax over dinner and a drink. We had to go out to a local restaurant and when we came back there was no space to park because of all the party guests. No provision had been made for residents. We ended up driving out of the hotel and parking on the road. The Manager was helpful in collecting the car for us when there was space but we realise it would have been more quiet and convenient at an airport hotel. The breakfast was excellent and the staff tried to be helpful it was a great pity that the residents did not come first.
The hotel experience was great we were there for a wedding ....dinner was great and staff
The Breakfast menu was limited would like a children's menu and some choice also poor value ..
Great location. private taxi provided to and from airport. No waiting about.
Couldn't fault room on 1st stay, good quality food,
Our stay on the second night was in a small room with a faulty shower. On check out, the receptionist didn't seem interested. Will not stay here again!
We stayed for one night before our holiday (leaving the car in the hotel car park as part of the package) and one night on our return. We prefer to leave our car on site (rather than at an airport car park) and got the package deal at a good price. However, we were disappointed to be given one of the smaller, shabby, older rooms with a small double bed on the ground floor for the first night. On our return we were given one of the bigger rooms on the first floor (with a king-size bed) which was ten times better. Restaurant and bar staff were all professional and friendly. We enjoyed a nice meal but suggest background music might help to drown out the noise of other guests talking to each other across the tables.
The older rooms are shabby and disappointing and only redeemed by the bathrooms (warm and plenty of hot water). The outside area at the back of the hotel needs to be spruced up. The first receptionist did not check our prepaid booking (which included airport transfers) and told us that the hotel doesn't provide taxis to and from the airport! We also had to ask for instructions about leaving the car.
Staff were very friendly and numerous. Hotel always warm and inviting.
Television screen switched on in the cocktail lounge - we never saw anyone watching! Problem with door key and lack of reception of BBC television in the room. Neither sorted.
The fact that when we came back from vacation early hours in the morning room was ready. Really didn't expect that . It was much appreciated. Food was excellent too. WELL DONE to all staff for making us feel so welcome.
Rooms were a bit too warm
Hotel rooms far to hot uncomfortable
Staff were nice, lovely room
Shower pressure did not excist and the room was too hot to be in. Checked out early because of that and were told we weren't the only ones.
The location, environment
Bed, the bed is poor quality. I could feel the springs under my bed. The bedding linen are also old.
Loved the hotel room - the bed was super comfy & all facilities in the room were well kept. Loved the power shower! The staff were also really helpful and friendly.
Unfortunately we both didn't like the cooked breakfast, it tasted like it was pre heated & the scrambled eggs were horrible! For £15 each we would've expected top quality breakfast however we didn't so this was really disappointing.
Lovely setting for the wedding we attended and the food was good for what it was however...
The price of drinks is through the roof and the walls of the hotel are paper thin.
Great location for the airport. Quiet, comfortable room with excellent breakfast. Staff very friendly and efficient.
Park and fly space not available.
Needs a refurb
Very friendly and efficient staff. There was a bit of a mix up about rooms for my group but the desk staff fixed the problem in short order and all of us were in the proper rooms in the end. Food is very good and the location is great if you are flying from Manchester.
The room was too hot and a bit stuffy. The elevator signs were confusing, they didn't have all of the rooms listed. It took some of us having to go back to the desk for help to find their rooms.
The bar area was great and the service in the bar was excellent and the bar food was very good.
The breakfast was unpalatable and over priced. Our room was on the corner of the hotel and very noisy. The beds were rather hard and the towels were too thin.
Breakfast good. Comfortable bed.
Room dated and cobwebs over wardrobe . Windows outside needed cleaning.
The welcoming staff; the food - delicious; white table clothes on table at breakfast and dinner in the evening! Our reason for coming in the first place - my husband likes to see tablecloths! Attending a wedding nearby and venue suitable for location and visiting Cheshire. Perfect!
Quality of food Distance to the airport
Walking distance to the room Card getting always de-magnetized
The room got too warm.
