Stanneylands Hotel  

The receptionist, Leon, was extremely helpful and patient with us - my mother in law's wheelchair and all the other things we required, plus our excessive demands! The food was excellent. The 'Afternoon Tea' which was put on for a reception after a funeral was exceptional. The attention to detail and attentive staff made it a real pleasure after such a sad occasion.

Waiting staff were a bit hit & miss, they seemed to disappear just when we needed them, also not asking us if we required anything else such as sauces, mustard or hot water & more tea. The drain area in our wash hand basin & bath could have done with a clean as there were dirt marks around the plugs.

Local and convienient

We stayed for a wedding which was at the styal lodge ten minute drive away the hotel is in need of a refurb its vvery dated and old the room was a patchwork quilt really, I didn't think it was worth 75 travelodge are better than this. Staff quite rude too sorry stanneylands need to up your game for wilmslow

lovely comfortable rooms and lounges, staff very helpful and friendly. we were at a family wedding and Eamon was nothing short of great, very attentive and made the whole day flow well.

Aircraft noise in the early morning, extremmely loud, and disturbing.

Ambience, staff all great. Lovely surroundings the library in reception was fascinating and the breakfast was good Would like to return for a weekend leisure package and see more of the facilities, but feel that your leisure packages are a little expensive, any deals for seniors?

Mattress. We were in room 108 and the beds although fair the mattress was hard and springs could be felt (even after a family wedding, so I am glad I had a drink! Think I may not have slept otherwise. Secondly although breakfast was good, not much bacon!!! Lastly did not see any nearer disabled parking?.

We thought the hotel overpriced, the shower left a lot to be desired and the breakfast which was not included so overpriced and paltry that we went elsewhere. We would have preferred to choose separate items such as a breakfast cereal or a piece of toast ,but this did not seem available. The reception staff were disinterested and not very helpful - it was certainly a do-it-yourself experience and a disappointing overnight stay

The hotel was in easy reach of the airport,staff were extremly helpful in meeting our requirements. I would recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Lovely setting outside Wilmslow. We were pleased with our room on the ground floor and particularly with the dining room. Food was good.

Reception was very slick and professional, the restuarant in the evening was excellent in quality and service. . Not good value a pity because the grounds are brilliant and the hotel gives a feeling of comfort and style.

The breakfast is the second worst I've ever had in the world!, both in quality and service a complete turn round from the evening meal The room was small and crampted, the bathroom was tired and we gave up trying to get even warm water for a shower. Needs a makeover.

The condition of the decor in our allocated bedroom The condition & colour of the towels ~ which should have been white but were grey! The very poor interpersonal & professional skills of the reception staff in particular the female on the morning of departure

The staff are extremely friendly & very helpful & the hotel is quite small & in a lovely area close to Wilmslow and Manchester. The 24 hour reception is great. The food is super.

The stanneylands suited my purpose as it was near a family function I was attending. The hotel looked well from the outside and seemed well kept. The dining room was very pleasant, I liked all the wood panelling.

The room was comfortable, but small and in need of upgrading, likewise the bathroom.

it was friendly and a good quiet location but handy to everything. Staff more than accommodating and helpful. Always willing to help. The room was spacious and the bathroom had every facility required.

The beds where not up to standard. Mattresses needed replacing on both beds, they had lost the will to live. The cleaning staff are overworked. They did an excellent job but had to go like hell to do it. If you cut down on the soap being replaced everyday and the towels which didn't need to be replaced then will the extra money saved you might be able to get another staff member or pay the existing ones more money. Two tea bags for the day for two people was not adiquate. The pillows looked like they had been through the washing machine a dozen times or more, quite out of shape. Although I stayed in a standard room I would still expect the beds not to be below standard. I could not find anything that told me whether breakfast was included or not. £10 for continental breakfast was too much when you only have tea and toast.

Shower curtain arragnement felt a bit strange - always going to flood the floor

I checked in late and the lad on reception could not have been more helpful. He was still there in the morning, very upbeat and pleasant.

My room was very hot, the shower was weak.

There are a lot of wedding parties held at the weekends so it can be rather noisy Bathrooms do not seem to have fans so grout is rather mouldy Decor rather "brown"
