Noisey at night. Not possible to sleep before 12.30am with people arriving and talking loudly and needed to get up early for flight.
Staff very friendly Location Value for money
Guesthouse and facilities outdated A little bit difficult to find
Clean house and the staff is friendly. Close to the airport. The staff will help you to book a taxi and you can share the taxi fee with other guests. Great.
The hotel is a little bit hard to find.
The late arrival check in time midnight The friendliness of the staff The cleanliness and warmth of the house The arrangements for continental breakfast and other self help meals
everything, we were delayed coming in from burlin that night and were not sure if we would make the midnight checkin deadline. When we called they were lovely said there had been lots of problems and not to worry. We arrived near 1am, at first went to the wrong lodge as there are two but was shown the right way and was then greeted by a very smiley friendly lady who was very understanding about the situation. She showed us round and said we could help ourselves to drinks and biscuits and breakfast in the morning. Room was lovely and homely and comfy and they even provided bath foam and shampoo. Lovley hot shower. Would deffinatly reccomend and use again. Many thanks
The lodge was very clean, quiet and had simple breakfast for guests.
The location of the lodge is not strategic at all. Me and my friend arrived at night and there wasn't a single taxi which could bring us there. Imagine two young ladies walking in the dark at 12.30am to the lodge. The lodge wasn't even close to the nearest train station. Horrible experience!
Bed Offering of breakfast not enough variety just toast!
Nice friendly welcome not a problem that I arrived mid evening Lovely comfortable room Price is excellent Really clean Ability to sort me a taxi to airport , I would happily stay here again and will recommend it to others
Using a shared bathroom but I have to say because I was first up and left early this wasn't a problem
Staff is so friendly and helpful, quiet stay and homely atmosphere.
the bathroom needs to be renewed, the kitchen and dishes for the self service breakfast are not really clean
The host was lovely, helpful and friendly. Loved the help yourself to breakfast when you want service
We unfortunately had the downstairs room. We had to listen to the loud creaking of floorboards above us as other guests were welcomed until 1 am and then as then the first people left at 3am. Not much time to sleep inbetween.
Staff good and helpful, room very nice/clean/comfortable.Didn't have breakfast [too early for my requirements] looked basic but kitchen was clean.Pleasant overnight stay.Thank you!
Booked online,no problems, but didn't like the fact that I had to pay £5.00 to park my car overnight!
Staff was friendly and helpful, room clean and spacious, bed comfortable, well located to stansted airport, good value for money, will definitely stay again.
Can not think of anything
Nice room. quiet place, perfect for staying in for one night because of the flight.
Willingness to give us assistance in carrying cases to the bus stop. The ability to use buses to and from the airport and national express coaches (10 minutes). The relaxed do it yourself breakfast - very handy for early/late flights
You feel as though you have entered someone's welcoming home. My room was comfortable, with TV. I shared an extremely clean bathroom. The place was fully occupied. Staff was most affable and arranged for taxi back to airport. Reasonable cost, good value for money. Note, there are two Stansted Lodges in Elsenhem. I stay at the one on Park Road. Make sure it is this one. I highly recommend it, only 10 minute drive to airport. Don't miss eating pub food at The Crown. Excellent!!
Very nice personal..
Bad wireless and non-soundproof rooms..Very hard was sleep next to the kitchen because there were very noisy.. Couldn't close bathroom door.. We didn't like to breakfast system.. Do what you want is not cup of my tea.. :/
Everything apart from transport link between Stansted Airport and Stansted Lodge.Bus number 7 from the airport to the Lodge finishes 18.49 on Saturdays and the airport taxi charges £16.00 just to a guest at the lodge, which is very exorbitant (expensive).
The transport system between Stansted Airport and the Lodge is nothing to write home about. I ran out of cash due to the exorbitant(expensive) charges by airport taxi and earlier closure of bus number 7 that shuttles between the airport & the Lodge. Again, mode of payment information given to me on line was not correct.
The B&B was friendly, good value for money and very clean
One of the beds was very noisy and this made it difficult to sleep in
Clean and very spacious room. Location good : 5 minutes walk from bus stop - 10 min drive to the airport. Kind and helpfull staff.
Buses are not so frequent. Every hour.
Access to eating area even late at night.
Incorrect info about local eating places as here is no restaurant at the Lodge. We arrived late evening and were told the local pub served food till 11pm, which it doesn't so then had to race to an indian takeaway before it shut at 10.30pm. There was nowhere else to eat in the area and we had arrived by taxi so did not have our own transport to go elsewhere for food.
Very friendly, warm and clean place. They take late arrivals and early leaves. They also arrange taxi for you. Free breakfast!!
The mattrace was very uncomfy in my room. All the springs were poking my ribs.
The lady who checked us in was lovely
Bedroom so outdated was unreal. The mattress felt like bricks and didnt sleep at all we even called our taxi and moved it forward just to get out. Man above us seemed to be running a marathon all night and we heard every noise and step.
Breakfast so bad
Good value for somewhere close to Stansted Airport. Sensible customer relations policies for a no frills place. Pleasant reception staff. Close (walking distance) to nice pub and Indian take-away restaurant. Comfortable bed, good attention to detail - for example an adapter for European plugs in a multi-plug extension cable. Breakfast room large and equipped with most of required food:drink, tools etc.
If one is arriving at Stansted, a taxi ride is £10-£20 each way - rather steep if one is a solo traveller. There is a bus, but it only goes once an hour until 7:45pm. The (separate) bathroom - although nicely presented, suffered from the lack of a plug in the sink, making shaving difficult going on uncomfortable.
