Around 7 minutes from Stansted Airport, this bed and breakfast offers quality rooms and transportation to/from the airport and Elsenham Train Station. Stansted Lodge Ltd. offers transportation to the airport (for an additional fee). Elsenham Train Station transportation are free. A continental breakfast buffet is served daily from 3:45 a.m. until 10 a.m., and includes fresh coffee, fruit juice, ham, cheese and cereals. Gluten-free breakfasts can be arranged upon request. Located in the lovely village of Elsenham, Stansted Lodge B&B is about 1 mile north of the airport. The staff pride themselves on providing clean, secure and warm rooms, with an even warmer, friendly service. A laundry facility is available. The accommodations are walking distance from Elsenham Train Station, which gives direct access to London Liverpool Street or Cambridge. It did everythihg we needed. We were able to arrive late (one o'clock in the morning and were met by Mariola), were able to have breakfast eventhough it was only four o'clock in the morning to get the plane from Stansted and Mariola provided an excellent "taxi" service to and from the airport. Mariola, who mjet and drove us was excellent eventhough she was short of staff when we were there.

Great service; nothing was too much trouble. My return plane was over 3 hours late and they came out to the airport immediately with no complaint. It turned out that they had been dealing with timing issues all day.

I booked Stansted Lodge for my son and grandson who were on the last leg of a holiday in the uk, coming over from Germany (but originally, Mexico, where they live.) I was very concerned that they would be tired after a day in London and therefore booked and paid for their accomodation at Stansted Lodge. As far as I know, they were fine and everything was good. What I was very grateful for was how helpful the staff were in sorting out my payment, giving me the information I needed, letting me ring my son and grandson on their phone, and generally letting me know that everything to insure a comfortable stay, early breakfast and trouble -free early morning transfer would be seen to. They were great and I would use them again.

The location was good, but the rooms are a bit tired. Needs updating. The owners were friendly . breakfast was excellent . transfers to the airport a1. Thae rooms need updating, freeview !! kettle was too big, (to get under the tap. ) to fill up. Better bedding.

I can't fault Stansted Lodge and will definitely recommend it to anyone who needs somewhere to stay if catching an early flight from the airport (as I was). The staff were courteous, the transfers to and from the airport were very good value for money and easy to arrange, the room was cosy, clean and also good value for money and the fact that you could have breakfast so early in the morning (although I didn't have any) is brilliant for those with early flights. Sharing a bathroom. However, this was clearly stated in the information when I booked and this is just a personal preference, certainly not a fault of the Lodge.

Very friendly people and an easy trip to the airport. Basic but adequate beakfast. Comfortable bed. It is a 15 minute walk from the railway station and not easy to find. Worse is that it is at the end of an unmade and unlit road which makes it very difficult to find on a dark winter evening. The rooms are small but comfortable. The floorboards creak a lot so you should bring earplugs.

The rooms and indeed all of the interior areas were very clean and warm, lovely decor and care has obviously been taken to make guests feel comfortable by the excellent choice of decor etc., the location is very pictuesque and the building itself is very lovely.. No reception after 23:30 and no airport transfer after 2150, this makes it inconvenient for air travellers having late arrival flights and expensive as the taxi from the airport is £15.00.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms needed some modernization with decor and soft furnishings. Breakfast was minimal and not good quality. No en suite. If it wasn't for a very efficient, helpful and friendly manager - Mariola, it would have been a horrible stay. Don't know whether I would recommend

The hotel is very close to the airport. Shuttle to airport was on time and lady was really nice. Room and facilities clean. The bed was not very comfortable, Also an extra pillow would have been nice.

The Manager was excellent. She was very friendly, helpful and efficient. It was a convenient place for us to stay and the Manager runs a taxi service to and from Stansted Airport. We stayed one night each end of our holiday in the same room. Stansted Lodge Ltd looks a bit tired and in need of an uplift. The pillows were very uncomfortable for us because they were too hard. We didn't make these comments to the Manager because she didn't need any negative comments as she has so much work to do. She does a wonderful job with the facilities she has been asked to manage.

The taxi service was good. The people were friendly and the breakfast self-service was good. There was a good variety of food and early enough so we could catch our flight. The shared bathroom was clean, but it's not very useful. The bed made a lot of noise if you turned or something.
