We were warmly welcomed by a friendly host. Feels homely and has everything you need for an overnight stay. I would recommend.
Quite nosy with people coming in and out so bring earplugs. The house is about a 10 minute drive from the airport with taxis being quite expensive.
Friendly staff and great value place to stay.
I had to go to a&e in the early hours so they let us stay later in the day. very homely.
Brilliant welcome, slightly difficult to find.Very accomodating in arrival and departure times.
Just a little shabby.
The bed was comfortable and the room quite large with no noise and is within easy walking distance of a local pub and a shop and was ideal for a short stop over before flying from Stansted.
Low cost Comfortable bed Nice quiet area
Restricted times for breakfast, finishes too early Early time to vacate Shared bathroom
Excellent location Friendly staff
Continental breakfast consisted of help yourself to cereal and toast
The greeting was unexpected, the staff was so friendly and couldn't do enough for you to make your stay welcome and inviting. I've already recommend it to my friends. Thank you. Janice miller from Barnsley south Yorkshire.
Lady at reception was pleasant
Bed had horrible springs which stuck into us
Cleanliness of the room and shared bathroom. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Less then 10 minutes by taxi from the airport.
A little bit noisy, specially when other guests have checked in later in the evening.
Staff were so helpful and kind. Very homely and cosy.
Comfortable, clean and unique. Good value and good breakfast.
Efficient girl running the whole thing. Wi-fi, TV in each room, help yourself to basic food and drink in the kitchen at any time. Access to hair dryer. Cosy-looking sitting room too. Usefully quick for those using the airport.
Just note that it's further from the station than you might think and there are virtually no staff and dodgy ticket station. So leave yourself extra time if catching a train. I missed an important one which cost me dearly!
Location, not far from the airport
Service was appalling! I don't know where to start! We couldn't get inside the hotel, no one opened the door for us, so we decided to walk in but there was no one there! We rang the bell a few times more, eventually a very VERY drunk lady opened her door. The smell of alcohol was so strong that it made us feel sick. She couldn't even hold a pen or walk straight. I travelled with my brother so had booked a room with 2 single beds, we got 1 double. The lady kindly asked if we needed a taxi for the morning- yes, for 6 am please. Obviously the taxi didn't arrive on time, she booked it for 6.30am (why??) but it arrived (with someone else already inside) at 7am which nearly made us miss our plane. We had to run through the airport. What is more our towels were so dirty, that we couldn't take a shower (the lady disappeared in her room so we couldn't ask for some fresh ones), the bin in our room was full of rubbish and there were many hairs in our bed.
friendly staff value for money very accomodating
mattress a bit thin and squeaky no cooked breakfast
Do not flexible taxi service to the airport. We wanted to be at the airport at 5:00 but this could not be arranged. We had to wait for a taxi at 4:10. The taxi came at 4:30 at 4:40 we were at the airport.
Friendly staff, gave us a free lift to the railway station so that we didn't have to walk with our two kids. Near airport, cheap bus to airport during the day.
Continental breakfast, only toast, several marmelades, cereals and the typical "nescafe".
I was only there for one night and left very early the next morning so I can't really judge the quality of my stay. However, the person who greeted me was very courteous and offered me a range of breakfast cereals etc. which I could take at my leisure.
Everything was very clean and well maintained. European breakfast was available self-service and there was a kitchen sink and a microwave. Room had TV. Staff is not around always but was polite to arrange for airport transfer. The environment was very nice.
Security concerns. If you want to go out, you need to leave your keys in a small basket near the main entrance. The main entrance is not locked and can be opened from the outside, so it seems that any other guest, staff, or even a random person passing by the street, could come in, take the keys and have access to the room.
staff were very helpfull and very organized facilities were clean and private no complaints and value for money transport to and from airport was very good and enjoyed the stay in peacefull surroundings, very good
not much to do in the village but thats the situation in most villages on sunday
Location, close to stansted , easy transport links to and from airport and London by train, friendly staff , good self service breakfast.
We slept in a lovely cabin in the back yard, equipped with kitchenette and private bathroom, tv, table with 2 chairs, and king size bed
The bathroom makes noises, the pipes makes a strange loud noise every 15 min or so. Not good if you want a good night sleep, especially with children, you will keep waking up
Tv didn't work, curtains didn't fully close
