Clean, comfortable, close to airport, quiet

Advertised as 'with transfer to/from airport included' I had to take a taxi because it was too early for that. My flight was at 6.20. I took that accommodation because of the included transfer. I felt a bit cheated as I only discovered this once I had booked

Convenient location next to Stansted Airport, essential because of very early morning flight. Comfortable bed.

Very impersonal, and expensive for the minimum level of comfort - taking advantage of the very convenient location next to the airport. Very small shower room and shower itself sub-standard. Difficult to get hold of somebody on the phone - only have a mobile number. Chose this accommodation for its location and 'free' airport transfers. Only discovered later that the 'free transfer# only operates at certain times, and not before 6 am so had to take a taxi to the airport anyway. The price, without breakfast, is on the high side and does not represent value for money.

Hotel room was good,but I fell down a step that wasn't indicated and hurt my mouth very badly on the laminated floor, I do feel that a warning sign should have been displayed. Also the web page says free overnight parking,but when you read the small print it's actually £5 per night, I could have got a better deal at another hotel, I.E. collection from airport. I won't be using Stanstead Guesthouse again.

Staff, huge bathroom

Close to Stansted airport, convenient to stay overnight between flights.

Only a brief stay before catching early flight from stansted - was met by a friendly guy who showed me where my room was. Room was nice, warm, clean with tea coffee etc and tv,big bathroom. Transfer to airport at 6am was on time, just for me, and free.

Only downside was it costing £8 to get the taxi (less than 5 mins) here from the airport in the first place.

Small, friendly guest house, close to airport, ideal for overnight stays between flying.

It's perfect place to stay over night between the flights. Only 15 minutes on foot from the airport.

The restriction on smoking is perfect,the environment is nice with natural looks.

Yes,No Internet access but it is understandable I know it is because of the Location.

I liked the location on the hill very suclued. The room was lovely and warm. The shower was excellent plus the heated towel bar the room had tea facilities and tv which was good plus you could bring in your own food there providing you clean up afterwards .I could have brought friends in there in to the room and I wasnt asked about friend restricting which was unusual normalily guest houses have rules about bringing in friends and that.

The only thing was that breakfast was not included with the price me and my brother paid £70. pounds for the night double room for 2 people.

The room was spotless and spacious and in a great location for Stansted Airport. I chose this guest house because I was a woman alone and there was a free airport shuttle apparently!

The apparently "free" airport shuttle! I chose this Guest House because I was a woman travelling alone. I phoned up the Gust House in the afternoon of travel to give my arrival time. I was told to ring when I actually arrived at airport. I did this before 8pm and had to wait until 9pm to be picked up by a local taxi firm (driver a lovely friendly man). On arriving at the Guest House the host appeared to be neither organised or hospitable. Perhaps because he had two parties arriving together, me and an Italian couple on honeymoon. I explained I needed to use the shuttle at 7.30 the following morning and was told I needed to take a taxi at a cost of £6 for 4minutes travel. The local Holiday Inn takes £2 for a 6minute journey. Overall, I think I would use the Holiday Inn next time where you can get a cheap room including Breakfast and a reliable and cheap shuttle service.
