The food The Staff
No air conditioning in the room. Warm night and a hot room
Friendly service. Nice ensuite. Bed was very comfortable. Some of the furniture was just average. Breakfast was good for the value. Altogether a good value option.
As my room faced the station I did hear the trains in the night but not overly problematic.
Everything. The floors were squeaky, the headrest was loose, the noise was unbearable, the pillows were stained, there was a live wire hanging out of the bathroom wall... i could just write a story... I am appauled!!
the quality of the room
my remote tv was not working
Breakfast was small, room stank of smoke and was very noisy.
Uncomfortably hot room
The fried breakfast was very nice but getting smaller from when we first stayed there about five years ago
Everything really. Manager and his wife were very polite to us always as usual. Came over to our group of friends to chat and make us welcome. The hotel suited our purpose especially after a long day and night out touring the town. (28/LXI).
Staff - Steve the manager is very helpful and friendly. An Asset to the hotel.
The location of the hotel is good in terms of walking around Gloucester.
Facilities are poor. Our shower didn't work and the room smelled. The price was okay but not worth the service you get. I wouldn't recommend it beyond one night.
The location is excellent, and the food in the bar and breakfast very tasty. Great value for money too for those on a budget!
Check-out time at 10 am is very early when you're on holidays!
everything about the hotel was perfect
The room was fine.
We arrived on a Sunday afternoon, had a drink outside and had to leave as a fight broke out with a few women who had been in the pub. Very dodgy clientelle in the pub.
Great location adjacent to rail and bus stations
Shower didn't work 10am checkout
Nothing. The staff was downright nasty. The room was old, dirty and cold. The breakfast was bad, even by English standards. No elevator. The location was close to the station, but there is nothing close to the station worth seeing.

Very clean and good location. I really liked the place
Loved the location, and the beds were comfy, price was cheap but no breakfast had to purchase seperately
There was no wardrobe in the room I had, the bin had not been emptied from the previous guest, the chest of drawers were falling apart. and the door to the shower would not open fully. Plus the price of the drinks was quite dear, this not a 4 star hotel so don't expect to be paying 4 star prices.
Easy to find
Breakfast extra charge and car park extra charge
Excellent location if you want to use buses or trains. Breakfast served promptly, from 7.30. Excellent value for money.
Single room a bit small with no chair but adequate.
Air conditioning would be useful in the summer heat.
Weekend was fabulous. Landlord and Landlady were really welcoming. Lively atmosphere, great live acts. Friendly people. Fan in the room was a bonus.
Nothing really to dislike, just a couple of niggles. Bar staff wondered off on a few occasions so we had to wait a while to get served. Could have done with a shelf in the bathroom to put bits and bobs on. On the info given it stated satellite TV was in the room, but just Freeview
Comfortable stay , ideal position for town & shops , good evening entertainment .
Breakfast wasn't the best
Friendly staff, very good breakfast, clean & with parking in parking garage opposite
Not so convenient for food if arriving late as there is not much near here and what there is closes early on a Saturday night. Everything is a little shabby.
Nice relaxed attitude to breakfast
Phoned manager in advance to arrange to have a extra bed in a family room to arrive on the day and have a stand up row with the manager to get what we booked!
