The Hotel was very nice and the staff were very friendly. The Hotel is an old traditional hotel, full of character and not at all sterile like some modern hotels. The room was clean and had a shower, bath, clean towels TV and free Wi-Fi.Breakfast was also very nice. .The hotel is in a great location for the Black Country Living Museum which is a 10 minute walk away.

We were doing a ghost hunt at Dudley castle which finished at 03.00 am so we needed a hotel by the castle and the Station Hotel was opposite the castle and was a reasonable budget price. OK for one night if you need this location. Bed was not that comfitable. Decor was budget, you get what you pay for!

It's cheap and cheerful needs money spending on the place to bring it up to want to charge £50 a night I got it at a discount or would not have stayed there.

I liked the location as I was there for a visit to Dudley Castle, which is only a few minutes walk away. It also lived up to its reputation as a haunted hotel when the tv turned itself on! It has a kind of old world charm. Our room was a bit dusty, and the window was open when we arrived, so it was freezing. There was also gaps in some of the window frames where the wood had rotted. This didn't look very attractive, and let in a draft.

I have never in my life seen worse customer service then in this hotel. The receptionist was rude, the night porter rude. We were treated like aliens! To illustrate this...I ordered a take away. The delivery man reached the door but was banned from going any further by the night porter. No explanation was provided...just stated as hotel policy. Really still do not understand the logic... My advice is don't stay here...

Good evening meal, a good selection. Poor mattress and poorly made up bed. Tiles missing in bathroom and light pull string had no end on it!!

This is a lovely old hotel, full of character, wish we had been staying for a few days. The receptionist was lovely and very welcoming. Our room was huge with a jacuzzi in the bathroom!! What a surprise. Bed was very comfy and the pillows were lovely and fluffy which makes a change. Noise from traffic outside may it difficult to sleep from about 6.00 am

Very conveniently positioned for the Black Country Living Museum and Dudley Zoo and easily accessible from Birmingham. The door was difficult to locate if arriving by public transport or for someone not using the hotel carpark and the hotel is known for its ghosts but there was no information on this in the rooms or reception.

The location was ideal for a visit to the Black Country Museum and Dudley Zoo. The hotel location was extremely noisy because of it being on two busy roads. The restaurant didn,t have enough staff to serve,on our stay there was only one member of staff to serve and look after the bar at the same time. The breakfast was very poor , we had booked for two nights b&b but after the first experience of the food served we went elsewhere for the second morning.

Friendliness/helpfulness of the staff. Location was fine for me as I was attending a function downstairs but the location might put others off. As a fellow hotelier, the decor was noticeably tired. The windows in the bedroom were single glazed, sash windows which had to be propped open for some fresh air, however, the traffic noise from the road was ridiculous when trying to sleep - had to shut the window again. Serious injection of cash required all around.

We were staying as we attended an evening wedding reception, so it was good not to have to travel. We booked without breakfast but when we arrived the receptionist advised us we had the "wedding rate" which included breakfast. Not to miss out we went down to breakfast only to be advised half way through that she had misinformed us so we would now have to pay for breakfast, and told that apparantly she has misinformed people before. We paid but this was obviously at an additional cost which we would not have normally taken.
