PUBLIC CAR PARK DIFFICULT TO FIND AT NIGHT IN THE RAIN
Stayed recently for two nights very pleasant helpful staff. Clean comfortable room. Good breakfast. Excellent value.
There was no draught beer
Good location. (For nearby attractions) No hassle check in, with welcoming reception. Nicely set out clean room with good facilities!
Very noisy location (traffic and night clubbers) No draught beers! (Unfortunate beer cooler breakdown) But poor bottled beer & lager selection as alternative. No parking facilities.
Close to the station, clean room. Good value for money
Missed breakfast and couldn't have any food after checking out at 11am.
Just dropped in for a one night stay and it fitted my needs perfectly . Although near the station and in the centre of shrewsbury the room was remarkably quiet
Great location right in the centre of town, We had a room at the top and the back so really quiet and a great night's sleep in a very comfy bed. Small room but very clean and had all we needed. Very helpful and polite staff and we would definitely recommend this hotel.
Great location, staff very helpful
We stayed here a group of us, so we had many rooms. Our room was at the back and we had a great nights sleep. All our group were pleased with their rooms, but a couple had rooms at the front which were a little noisy. Would stay here again.
Ok for money
Pub to quiet
The Decor of the hotel and room
The missing tiles in the ensuite bathroom
The comfortable bed the location of the hotel
The shower CURTAIN
Easy walk into town
The hallway smelled of ? disinfectant? The WiFi often disconnected from internet. The only carpark was in Railway park about 300 metres away about 4 pounds for day and seemed unmonitored re security. Room noisy re cars. as backed onto busy road. The shower was elevated off foor with very small base and only a curtain on 2 sides. Easy to topple out of if elderly. I thought 80 pounds was steep as no breakfast. There were no windows from bar/dining room so did not feel inviting.
It was quite central to everything , and we arrived by train and it was just accross the rd ,,
The room we were given ! Had a terrible smell , but I complained , and we were given another room straight away , but that put us off from the off ! And I think it was expensive just for the room !! If we wanted breakfast it was more money ! I think it should of been included in the price !
the building is welldone inside; nice chamber
outside looks a bit dark; not appealing
Near to the train station. Very comfy bed
Ideal hotel to stay when traveling by train
No complaints about the hotel
Very friendly and helpful staff. Great cooked breakfast. Simple but thoughtful fit-out and decor of room. Very convenient proximity to Shrewsbury Railway station.
Unfortunately the only redeeming quality about the hotel was the location... But then again it is very close to a lot of nightclubs
When we first arrived at the hotel we entered the room to find someone's urine already in the toilet, the general cleanliness of the room was adequate but some of the walls come do with a clean. It was a very hot day and the hotel room had one small window and no fan to offer us. The bed had a leather end piece which made it impossible for my 6 foot 5 boyfriend to fit in the bed, resulting in me sleeping I the floor for most of the night on the duvet. We were kept awake by people screaming, shouting and arguing outside the window most of the night which finally subsided at 5.30am. The hotel cost £79 and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, the only way I could understand the positive reviews on this plce is if you were blackout drunk and couldn't actually remember staying there!
Room a bit pokey small dark
Bed was comfortable, location was good for access around the town, staff were friendly enough and fixed general problems promptly
Looks dated and run down from outside, bathroom missing tiles, felt a bit crammed in, and rare to find hotels with shower curtains now... Much prefer shower screens - bathroom just needs updating. Room in general not overly large, adequate though. For package offered, both felt poor value for money compared to other hotels,
Welcoming staff & very convenient for the station. Reasonably clean & comfortable. No curfew as can enter through a side door after hours.
Quite expensive for a single room but served ok for an overnight stay
very convenient for the station, quiet and comfortable
room was small but en suite with a large bathroom
smell cobwebs dirty wires everywhere (tripping hazard) vomit outside front entrance window did not shut properly felt vulnerable outside and inside noise extra payment for breakfast bar area closed early no choice of evening meal or snack
Great value for money and good location
