It was quite central to everything , and we arrived by train and it was just accross the rd ,,
The room we were given ! Had a terrible smell , but I complained , and we were given another room straight away , but that put us off from the off ! And I think it was expensive just for the room !! If we wanted breakfast it was more money ! I think it should of been included in the price !
the building is welldone inside; nice chamber
outside looks a bit dark; not appealing
Near to the train station. Very comfy bed
Very friendly and helpful staff. Great cooked breakfast. Simple but thoughtful fit-out and decor of room. Very convenient proximity to Shrewsbury Railway station.
Unfortunately the only redeeming quality about the hotel was the location... But then again it is very close to a lot of nightclubs
When we first arrived at the hotel we entered the room to find someone's urine already in the toilet, the general cleanliness of the room was adequate but some of the walls come do with a clean. It was a very hot day and the hotel room had one small window and no fan to offer us. The bed had a leather end piece which made it impossible for my 6 foot 5 boyfriend to fit in the bed, resulting in me sleeping I the floor for most of the night on the duvet. We were kept awake by people screaming, shouting and arguing outside the window most of the night which finally subsided at 5.30am. The hotel cost £79 and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, the only way I could understand the positive reviews on this plce is if you were blackout drunk and couldn't actually remember staying there!
Room a bit pokey small dark
Bed was comfortable, location was good for access around the town, staff were friendly enough and fixed general problems promptly
Looks dated and run down from outside, bathroom missing tiles, felt a bit crammed in, and rare to find hotels with shower curtains now... Much prefer shower screens - bathroom just needs updating. Room in general not overly large, adequate though. For package offered, both felt poor value for money compared to other hotels,
Welcoming staff & very convenient for the station. Reasonably clean & comfortable. No curfew as can enter through a side door after hours.
Quite expensive for a single room but served ok for an overnight stay
very convenient for the station, quiet and comfortable
room was small but en suite with a large bathroom
smell cobwebs dirty wires everywhere (tripping hazard) vomit outside front entrance window did not shut properly felt vulnerable outside and inside noise extra payment for breakfast bar area closed early no choice of evening meal or snack
Great value for money and good location
Nice room, comfy bed. Excellent coffee
Returned to premises at 9.30 and bar/bistro shut. Had planned to have a fed drinks to finish evening.
Location very close to town centre
Small room but very well appointed.
Wifi a problem, code not available. A bit gloomy downstairs.
Nice people working there.
A bit noisy for people who want to relax ask for a room with no window to the station.
Bed was very comfortable. Facilities in the room (bathroom, TV, tea-making) were good. Early morning call was just right. Breakfast was tasty.
Bedroom was too hot for me (probably not hotel's fault). I should have liked a bowl of cereal at breakfast, between the fruit juice and the cooked meal.
Its comfortable room. clean and close to town centre and bars
Bit noisy when people leaving pubs early hours in the morning
Just needed an after hours bell to ring at the front door.
We travelled by train and used buses to get around so location close to train and bus station as well as shops and theatre was ideal
Stellios the manager was extremely helpful and welcoming. Kindly looked after bags before and after we checked in / out. Bed and pillows very comfortable.
Our only downside was that the bistro / bar was closed on the Sunday for refurbishment so we couldn't have a drink there before leaving, however, we do of course that refurbishment / works need to be done and this was probably the most sensible time to do this.
Stellios was an excellent host who was only too happy to assist in any way he could. He provided an excellent service which is to his credit.
The location was great right across the road from the train station. Place is small but very clean with easy all hours access. Friendly staff.
The walls were a bit thin, but it never caused a real problem.
Very comfortable bed. Staff helpful.
Shower. Too small and plastic shower curtain wraps around your legs when you shower. No where for shampoos etc. Towel very small.
The decor was clean, fresh - tasteful. The staff are great and accommodating.
I am a light sleeper, traffic is heavy til very late; and even on a Wednesday night; the foot traffic after 10PM - is constant and loud(laughing, screaming, shouting) - so; very little sleep.
Noisy at night, park bench below window of room so noisy till 4 am
