The reception staff did not log in my electronic door key pass therefore I had to go up to the fourth floor and discover the card did not work. No apology was offered and no explanation was offered. My room (409) was obviously affected by dampness due to defective roof coverings, which may have been repaired, however no attempt had been made to rectify the decoration or plaster defects. The bed was very low and I could feel the springs through the mattress. The breakfast was in the for of a supermarket canteen, I broke a filling when I bit into the hash browns, the sausage did not taste like any form of meat and the eggs were also poor.Very Dissapointed.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the hotel was very easy to find- right outside the station, which was very convenient.

It was convenient to the train station, right across the street. It was not at all attractive as portrayed on the website. Very plain and somewhat run-down. Our room was very small and on a noisy street, so we had to keep the windows closed. Aberdeen was having a "heat wave" and the room got quite stuffy and hot. We had a hard time getting a fan, although we finally got one just as the weather broke. The breakfast was expensive, so we ate from our tiny fridge in our little room with a borrowed French press coffee maker. The "coffee maker" advertised on the website is a hot water pot with packs of instant coffee. We found it quite expensive for the accommodations (compared to Glasgow). The location across from the train station was the best thing about it.

Very convenient to railway station and right in the centre of the town. Revamped bathroom was good. Some hotel modernisation ongoing and it needs it ! It is an offshore workers hotel. Room was somewhat jaded and in need of a freshen up. Food was very basic and uninteresting. View out of window terrible.

I chose this hotel for it's low price and location right in the city centre. It's good value, and comfortable without being special. I'd recommend this hotel to people looking for a cheap, simple place to stay. Room was clean and comfortably furnished - basic but well maintained. The breakfast was a buffet, with cereal, toast, bacon and eggs etc. Unfortunately the cooked foods were a bit cold and congealed. I'd recommend skipping breakfast unless you just want cereal.

They upgraded our room, when we had a fault with our room key and the bathroom blind falling down on top of us. On storing our luggage for us, it was pilled up on top of others, a few of my zips on my bag were open on collection.

Staff was very friendly and accomodating on a holiday weekend, letting us stay a bit past check-out time as our train was unexpectedly cancelled. Not the hotel, but the rail station closed on January 1st when the BritRail website indicated there was one train back down south to London.

Location and car park. Room was an attic room, one of their smaller doubles, probably normally used as a single room. Unable to move as other rooms on a floor close to a function. Had to go looking for waitress's to serve dinner. Main bar closed as staff being used at function. Smaller bar unattended. Car park full, due function, overfill car park difficult to find.

I hated the whole experience and will never set foot through the doors of the station hotel again. The room was freezing, the heater didn't work, the curtains wouldn't fully close, the windows we're so thin you could hear a car a mile away. I never slept one wink. Never again.

Very handy for a train traveller. I was disapointed that there was no decaf coffee sachets in my room. I was also very disapointed that after having breakfast I got back to my room to find that all the towels had gone and so I cvould no even wash my hands!

Staff could not have been more helpful. My wife is disabled and the porter went out of his way to show us an exit convenient for the railway station. The chef was also very helpful in this respect. Wife disabled. Steep steps at main entrance and no handrail.Steps in lounge area had no handrail.

The location was excellent for my purpose. It was right next the bus station, the railway station, the shopping mall and Taxi rank. ,Union Street was nearby. The bedroom I had on the first floor turned out to be a large double room which was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was new. Despite the fact that the windows were double glazed there was a slight traffic noise. I was overall very pleased with it..The colour scheme could have been lighter but that was not a problem.
