Friendly helpful staff and welcoming bar area. Great location for railway station.
Rooms 4 and 4A are very small (carved out of 1 room?) but O.K. for 1 night.
Old fashioned room
Staff, friendly, room clean and spacious. Suited our needs very well.
Unfortunately the was no internet connection due to the location of the room.
Staff friendly and helpful, food excellent
Warm welcome and relaxing atmosphere
staff and breakfast cooked to order perfect scrambled egg
room carpets need a clean
Staff very helpful, breakfast and dinner good. Water wonderfully soft when washing my hair - an added bonus!
Quiet room in the Coach House. Good food breakfast and evening.
we had a appartmentment at the back of the hotel. It was first class...The staff were polite and very helpful
we had no complaints, liked everything
service, meals, friendly staff
wi fi in room bit iffy
Friendliness of staff in restaurant and bar Bar food is good
TV is too small from the bed (at least for my eyes)
Everything , especially having own door for easy access for taking dog out. Know Thurso well as lived here and revisit often. Would definitely stay here again.
Location very convenient Friendly kind staff Useful suggestions from proprietor, e.g. he suggested we took a taxi to Cups Tearoom at Scrabster instead of catching the bus as it would be cheaper - he even called a taxi for us! Nice evening meal Good breakfast All facilities needed for a comfortable stay - thank you.
Son's room had a close up view of a wall - but that is the nature of the location and the fact that it is an old traditional building.
Staff were very friendly and helpful
Internet connection not great.
We were given a family room on ground floor, near exit which was great when you have a dog with you. Friendly staff, clean comfy room. We bit dated but that does not bother us at all.
Staff friendly. The central heating in room was excellent and there was always hot water. A comfortable sleep
Breakfast was obviously microwaved although the fried egg was cooked to order. I would not have liked to pay £11 for the breakfast.
Comfort of bed Friendliness of staff Proximity to railway station
Location was great, staff very friendly, breakfast was great!
The staff was very friendly. The restaurant, while a bit steep, had excellent food. I recommend the Cullen skink, it was amazing. The room we had was quite ample for the 2 of us, and was quite clean, though rather dated in decor. Overall, really nice place in the middle of Thurso.
Room too hot and unable to turn radiator down. Only non meat item on breakfast menu is kippers - and they did not have any. Partner ordered porridge but it never arrived!
most of the staff were very pleasant and helpful, breakfast was very nice too
