Station Hotel  

The Station Hotel is a fine old building almost equi-distance from the railway station and the town, a few minutes walk from either. Obviously well cared for and the room was clean and the bed one of the most comfortable I have slept in. Good breakfast spread pleasantly served. Single room of a good size and priced according to local area but acceptable. They have rooms in newer accomodation behind the main building and apartments for self catering ajoining. Wifi not possible on the upper floor but OK in the bar or breakfast room. Good to be able to check onward travel arrangements. Nothing to worry about, would choose the Station again.

Why do hotels never place a menu of what is available for evening meal options in the room?

Bed very comfortable breakfast

I had to ask for help with my luggage (I had 4 separate pieces, including laptop) and I was 3 floors from the carpark. I was told I could wait for the porter who was due to start in15mins. This was not acceptable to me so I made 2 trips from the car park with my luggage. I was not given details of where and when breakfast was, or if I wanted to book for dinner. The sound-proving was dreadful, I heard the man in the room next door turning in his bed! I couldn't open bathroom door fully as the sink was stopping it.

Spacious room with comfy settee. Good heating as the weather although bright and sunny was a bit chilly during our visit.

A decent hotel in the town, with a nice bar and a good breakfast. The rooms are off the car park at the rear, and initially didn't look very promising, but in fact are more spacious than a standard room in a small hotel, with a good bathroom and comfortable beds.

Room was small and cold. I could not shave at the mirror because the alcove that the sink and mirror was in was too small, about 60 cm, and i'm a small guy.

Efficient with friendly,competent staff. Although breakfast started at 7a.m.they served me at 6a.m. as I was catching an early train.

Very convenient to station; very welcoming and friendly; studio room basic but very clean containing all you may require. Staff excellent especially Karen who seemed to be everywhere doing everything - thank you Karen.
