A very nice friendly little hotel with lovely staff. Everywhere was clean and tidy. Good breakfast selection and we ate two nights in the bar although we could have eaten in the dining room. (It has been recently refurbished.) All in all we would recommend this hotel.

Hotel was value for money, with warm friendly atmosphere and good quality food backed up with great staff.Located just up from the station in Thurso and 20 miles from John o Groats.

The staff were very friendly, the room was clean and tidy with all the usual facilities and the breakfast was enough for the largest appetite. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and hope to stay here again in the future.

Very friendly welcome. Bikes stored securely with no fuss - quite the reverse! Good food at very reasonable prices. Excellent accommodation. Spacious warm and very clean. Few hooks to hang damp cycling clothes would have been good but this is a very minor criticisim. Would throughly recommend the Station Hotel.

I arrived at 19.10 and very hungry. I intimated this to the excellent lady on reception. She took my details showed me the menu and explained how to get to my room. I took my stuff to the room and was sitting down to my starter at 19.25. You may think that the hotel was not busy but it was mothers day and it was busy.Not only quick but excellent quality and quantity. All staff were excellent nothing was any or too much bother. Will stay here again on my next trip to Orkney and the North of Scotland.

Ideal town centre situation close to railway station which is exactly what I required. A better room than on my previous visit. The TV was modern and the ensuite had a power shower - great improvements. Since my stay in early Dec 11 the menu selection has deteriorated significantly. The food is still cooked to a good standard but the choice is limited and not particularly imaginative. Staff quality is variable. The attitude of the lady running the bar on the evening of 15 Mar could have turned milk sour! My recommendation on future use depends very much on individual requirements - there are better hotels in Thurso.

The size of the apartment rooms was fantastic, very large spacious rooms with sitting area and also sizeable bathrooms, comfortable beds. Stated on booking 'free wifi' which I took to being free wifi in the rooms much to my disappointment on arrival it was only in public rooms. Little thing to moan About but it did annoy me, the television always made a very high pitched buzzing sound that distracted me from watching it. With no wifi in the room it wasn't great.

Very friendly staff, comfortable room with good provisions (shampoo, shower gel, iron, hairdryer and even shoe polish)! The dinners and breakfasts were nice and it is in a good location in Thurso. The only problem was that the heating wasn't on very much, so if you were in the room before 6pm it was really cold - and I woke up during the night for the 2 days I stayed because I was cold. However, the room quickly heated up when the radiator turned on.

The hotel is conveniently located with easy on site parking. Stan would have to be one of the nicest hotel owners we have met and his staff are just as friendly and helpful. Nothing is a trouble and if you ask for anything to be attended to it is done in a split second. They serve a beautiful breakfast is excellent hot dishes and fresh seasonal fruit If you have to go to Thurso this is the place to stay The room decore is a little dated and basic but very comfortable
