All-round quality . Rooms (stayed in the spacious family "manor" suite), bar/restaurant ambiance, service, food and drink = Everything ticked the right boxes for us. Will be coming back !

To be honest, nothing. Yes, a rural location, but that's what we expected. Tranquil. A real find which, but for the internet, wouldn't know of.

Size of the room and comfort of it, the location was lovely, food and service excellent overall would recommend it to anyone.

As my husband is disabled could have done with room on the ground floor, but when booking there was nowhere where it asked about disabled facilities. Also room eg cups tea kettle eat was only accommodated for 2people and I booked for 3 people!

A really lively pub with very friendly and professional staff. Super food with very good service. We had a power cut but as we got back late, not a huge problem and they immediately refunded that night's money. Nice big room and very comfy bed. Nice en suite. Loved our 2 nights there.

Because we are getting on a bit, we need quite a lot of light as we read a lot. The room was large (lovely!) but very small bulbs in the few lights provided making it quite miserable as paint dark too. If this is sorted out, it would be fabulous!!

Very welcoming, in a lovely quiet spot. Settled the dust with well-kept real ales on the terrace before an excellent dinner in the bar (the homemade beef & ale pie is highly recommended!) We were running late, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The family room was excellent, very spacious, with a separate bedroom for the 2nd double bed.

    Nothing!

We were given an up grade to the suite, extremely comfortable and spacious. Very welcoming greeting especially as they had a very full restaurant on our arrival. Breakfast was at time of our choosing and it was excellent.! It was great as we didn't feel like just another punter. The value for money made our stay even more sweeter!

Staff were always polite and courteous.

Menu was generally limited to pun 'stodge and there was nowhere else nearby to eat. Left early.

We were attending a wedding locally and stayed with our newborn. Justin and his team couldn't have been more accommodating offering to bring a travel cot to our room and letting us check in early and out whenever suited us, even though they were fully booked. Breakfast was super and the room very comfortable. Great beds.

The staff were excellent and we received an upgrade to a suite! The hotel is in a lovely setting in the english countryside. We ate dinner here both nights that we stayed, and it was excellent both times. Also, the breakfast, that was included in the price was delicious.

This was a delightful place to stay, so no dislikes!
