Excellent value room for £30. Attractive hotel. Not a complaint, but could not figure out why there appeared to be no lighting in the room until I phoned reception and learnt that I needed to put the door card in the slot. Not everyone would know this so a note above there would be useful.

The reception staff I dealt with was extremely insisant I hadnt paid the hotel bill prior to the booking irrespective of the fact I had a printed reciept in my hand, For 15 minutes she insisted on a credit card swipe to pay for the room. It was only after a collegue interviened and pointed out the room had actually been paid for that she relented, with not even an apology. Secondly. I was overcharged at the bar being confirmed by ordering the same drinks the following night which was £1 20 less. The bar staff had no interface skills at all without even so much as a thankyou or sir/madam approach, what a sad reflection of youth and bar manager control. Thirdly, there was that much noise in the corridor untill three in the morning I had to get out of bed and to stop people shouting at there children in an ajoining room, a bad experience all round considering I travel significantly in my job.

The room was good value for money and in a non-built up, non busy road location, so it was quiet. Room numbering is confusing- hard to find our room.

Nice rooms, comfy bed. The confirmation stated breakfast cost £7.50 but when got to restaurant they said it was £10.50 and £7.50 was only if pre-booked! Very strange. I am sure there was no mention of the pre-booking requirement on the confirmation.

This is the first time we have stayed at Staverton Park and we thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The staff were friendly and courteous the food was excellent, we would liked to have enjoyed the massage facilities but unfortunately they were fully booked, however, we will know for next time to book this in advance. The rooms were well appointed, very clean and comfortable.

Good value for money. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. I emailed a few days before I arrived regarding an early check in and they were able to accomodate me. They were on hand to call any taxi's if need be and explained the check out procedure and facilities at the hotel. I was impressed by the comfort of the bed, the furniture was of a good quality. The shower was not very powerful and it was quite confusing to operate. Also the toilet would not flush very well so this was something that needs to be improved.

I booked a room for myself and 2 sons to play golf. The staff were extremely helpful and an extra bed was placed in the room at short notice. The staff made me feel like nothing was too much trouble. The free tea and coffee in reception is a really nice touch.

The staff were outstandingly friendly and helpful. The rooms were extremely comfortable and stylish - well-equipped, comfortable beds and choice of pillows. Plenty of parking. Excellent breakfast - good selection and lovely big tea pot. All very reasonably priced. I shall definitely stay again This is a reasonably minor complaint, but I didn't like the loud pop music/radio in the breakfast area.

Lovely hotel and great value for money! We stayed for 1 night as a stop gap but wish we could have stayed longer. Staff were welcoming and helpful and the only reason I marked them as good instead of excellent was simply because we had our 3 year old daughter staying in the room with us and there wasn't an additional bed available even though I requested one when booking online. We paid £29 for the night and were very surprised at how lovely the rooms were and facilities. Children under 4 stay and eat free here and the food was excellent as well as good value again. Definitely recommend a stay here, it is a little out of the way but great for a relaxing break! Only as mentioned before there wasn't an additional bed available for my daughter but it seemed the hotel hadn't received our request for one when booking through the online system! I would recommend phoning to confirm this if needed and it would not put me off staying again.

Some staff were very pleasant, however the few that we're rude spoiled the rest. The food in the restaurant is over priced, slow, cold and appalling. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Golf was good Staff, the food see above

The swimming pool The room wasn't ready when we arrived and we were off to a wedding so quite tight on time. Apparently we should have phoned and checked first, although it does say you can check in a 2pm on their website. Managed to get a spare room to change in. No tea in the room, had to walk to reception to get some. Given the wrong drinks at breakfast. Staff generally seemed pretty rushed and not that polite. Only small things but and probably being picky but it wasn't the best stay ever. Good value for money though.

The hotel bar lacked atmosphere. The swimming pool complex was not attached to the hotel. The television in the room was a 14" portable, needed binoculars to see it. The bed wasn't the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. Staff always asking how you will pay (Bar and Restaurant). The hotel was functional and adequate, definitely not a luxurious hotel or a hotel for a romantic or relaxing break.

Staff were friendly and helpful, especially in the bar area by reception It seems like there's nothing much near the hotel to do, although that didn't affect our stay in any way.

I liked the quietness of the rooms and the decor. I liked the bar and the bar food I liked that I could choose to have a breakfast or not The size of it can make it feel rather impersonal It was a long walk from reception to my room

I liked the overall style and amenities offered. The flat screen television and free wi-fi were a plus and it seemed to be updated, which is always nice. Although everything was stylish, comfortable, and updated.. it wasn't taken care of. The shower was merely wiped clean (hairs left behind and obvious lime scale and rust/goop around taps and in tile/crevices) and the toilet had been poorly looked after with terrible scratches covering the inside of the bowl. There were cobwebs in the corners of the room and the wardrobe was very dusty. It's a shame to see such nice amenities and stylish rooms getting a bad rating for being so poorly looked after. The rooms should be thoroughly cleaned after each guest has left, and it is hard to find hotels (affordable or expensive) that actually stick to that rule.
