the proximity to railway station.quiet area.bed linen was changed daily, clean towels were also clean every day room was very tired, wallpaper needed replacing some of it was already off the walls.bathroom had lots of mould this could have been removed very easily with a good clean.staff took far too long in answering the front door, the first time they took so long that we were actually worried that the place was closed and they hadnt informed us. |

Great location, friendly staff, smooth service, spacey rooms, quiet (our room was towards the inner yard, our friends room was towards the street and they told it was a bit noisey but not disturbing), ok bathroom. Ok breakfast (trad english w/ toast, egg (all sorts) bacon, beans + muesli/cerials and orange juice + tee/coffee), not too early as someone stated - personal opinion, naturally. Someone may find the stairs a bit narrow and hard (no lift) to carry the luggage. Not a problem for us. Not "extremely" tidy, but no complaints from us. |

Opportunity to leave car outside hotel offroad overnight and during the day at reasonable cost for London. £10 overnight. £5 for half day until 6.00.P.M. Bed linen and towels very clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast - would have liked some pork or beef in sausages instead of mainly cereal, otherwise very good. Room 404. Shower flow rate had limited control - needed repair or replacement. Bathroom shelf loose - could not use. No batteries in tv remote. |

Friendly staff, location (Paddington Station and busses taking you to Oxford Street within 5 minutes!), room was cleaned every day, tea cooking facilities in room, it's a good hotel if you leave early in the morning and return late at night and just use the room for sleeping! no elevator, breakfast from 6:30 to 9, closet had a weird smell, so we didn't unpack our bags, ugly curtains |

location is fair enough, close to the hyde-park and paddington. unwelcoming reception; 7 gbp per 24h of wi-fi; very-very poor breakfast; chlorine-stinking bathroom and towels. would not recommend for more than 2+ nights stay. |

We liked that it was near the tube and in London. Didn't like to pay in advance of stay! (We are not criminals.) We found the beds uncomfortable and the covers had cigarette burns. The window was broken and dangerous to open as it was large and hung by one rope (instead of two). Curtains were dirty. The bathroom sink was almost unusable as there was a tiny shelf over it. (Couldn't wash out one shirt in it.) The shower was ok but the soap dish was broken off and we had to balance it on the tap handles to use it. Fire alarm went off for no reason and frightened me and the kids. Wanted to eat breakfast outside but had to eat inside the cramped dining area. Breakfast was not so good, so we went and bought food on other days (and where we could sit comfortably.) |

The staff at the Gower, and the sister hotel The Athena where one of us actually stayed, were very friends and helpful throughout. I would recommend them. All was well. |

The location of this hotel is the best thing it has going for it.. Breakfast was served way too early. Finishing at 9am. This is ridiculous for a 'hotel' |

Comfortable room, basic facilities such as shower, towels, tv, hairdryer, tea/coffee facilities. Good temperature room so had a nice night's sleep. Good for families, people on a budget, and excellent location as it is just off Edgware Road which is wondeful, full of Arabian restaurants and coffee houses, and near the main city area. A Waitrose, Argos, M & S and Somerfield also on this road. I came with my husband and three older children aged between 17 and 22, they liked it as it was a stone's throw from the shops and Imperial College which was the purpose of our visit. I will use this hotel on my next visit but will walk to Edgware Road to a coffee house for breakfast instead. The breakfast- cold toast and there was one member of staff, an oriental lady, who was quite rude and unfriendly. However, reception staff were wonderful and pleasant, and there was another woman who was very kind and helpful who was serving breakfast. Parking is very restricted, only around 2 spaces in front of hotel. However, as we arrived at night, we managed to find a free space on a side road overnight, but had to pay from 08.30am the next morning at £4 an hour. This was ok as we travelled by car around the city from check out time onwards. |

The staff was very friendly, we loved the fact that there was always someone at reception 24/7. We had an excellent location, close to the tube, bus and Hyde Park. Housekeeping cleaned our room every day, we got tea and coffee in our room and lots of fresh towels. I would recommend it. Breakfast was a bit on the early side, we're not used to eating breakfast before nine, but the coffee and tea in our room made up for it. |

Staff was wery friendly, the hotel is located in walking distance of major attractions and shops. I've read someware that the hotel was renovated in near past, but this is not true. Nothing was done to the walls ant celling. the only window in the room was broken. The bathroom in family room (5 persons, kids) is too small. The sign on the window states that every room has videoplayer - that is also not true and you can not get DVD player (in this times the videoplayers are not used any more). |

Staff very friendly and helpful. We asked for a triple and had a 'proper' triple, not a double and single. Breakfast freshly cooked to order. Steep stairs up to the room (we were on the third floor) but not a major problem as we had little luggage. Only powdered milk in the bedrooms - ok for coffee but not so good for tea! |

Situated in the heart of London, Castleton Hotel is an elegant 19th-century building adjacent to Hyde Park, just a 3-minute walk to Paddington station and the 15-minute Heathrow Express service. |
The Shaftesbury Kensington is conveniently close to Earl's Court and Olympia exhibition centres. It is modern, well equipped and just a short walk from Earls Court Tube Station. |
Brand new for 2009, the self-contained apartments at Think Earl's Court offer superb comfort, providing something more than a traditional hotel. |
A few minutes' walk from Paddington Station and near to Hyde Park and Madame Tussauds, this Victorian listed building is a small, family-run hotel offering bed and breakfast. |
