Gower Hotel  

Excellent location - only a couple of minutes walk from Paddington Station and good restaurants nearby. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room simply furnished but perfectly adequate. Excellent breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

The location of the Hotel is great, just a few minute walk to paddington tube station and lots of restaurants and pubs. The staff was really nice and friendly! Great value for your money!

I didn´t like the smell of the towel and that there hasn´t been a towelmat(floor) for coming out of the shower...

The location were good

The tile in the bathroom were broken and some of them were missing. Some of the wallpaper in the room were loose. I could not recognize the hotel and the room compared to the pictures on the internet.

The Gower Hotel is located approximately 5minutes away from Lancaster Gate tube station (or 10minutes from Edgeware Road), round the corner on Sussex Gardens, a long boulevard teeming with other bed-and-breakfasts hotels of equal size. Having previously stayed nearer the Edgeware Road End, the Gower Hotel is obviously nearer to Hyde Park, perfect for ambling down toward Kensington and the Royal Albert Hall, which was the main reason for our stay. The hotel itself was very well-presented, upon check-in the manager was very pleasant and friendly, and the rooms were a perfect size for a a small group of friends or a couple. The beds were comfortable, the shower-room was just as it should be, and the breakfast was wonderful, with a lovely dining area on the lower floor. Overall, this was a delightful little English b'n'b, and I will almost certainly be staying here again next time I'm in town!

There was nothing remotely bad about the Gower Hotel. It was just right.

Sigh... Where to start... When I book a cheap hotel in London (yes, 150 gbp for 2 nights is cheap), I don't expect anything. Usually, I am not disappointed. Shocked, yes, but not disappointed. I booked is hotel because one reviewer described it as remarkably clean. Sigh... The bathroom was covered in mold, certainly a health risk. Furniture dated from the sixties, maybe late fifties. Hard to tell. Tv did not work. Cold water came in one spurt, then stopped. Hot water came explosion- style. Was afraid to step into the shower, but surprisingly, water came at desired temperute and stayed that way. Hey, should have mentioned that in the positive column.... Breakfast was ok, considering I didn't expect anything. Breakfast only til 9 A.M. Checkout till 10:30. Guess they need all that time for cleaning... What I find truly annoying, is the lack of ethics on the part of the owners. Why not make the stay at least tolerable? Nobody will ever return, but I guess, they figure, there are 7 billion people on the planet, steadily increasing, so, we don't need return guests anyway... Guess the plan works....

The hotel was perfectly located for my requirements; the staff were very helpful and overall it was a very good choice.

Walking distance from my train station, paddington. Nice friendly staff. Good facilities comparing with price.

It was actually quite good value for money, especially as breakfast was included. It is suitable if you're looking for somewhere to put your head down for the night. Definitely more practical than luxury. If it's basics you want then this is the place.

There was nothing in particular we didn't like. It is a budget hotel and was clean. If anything it just needed a lick of paint to overcome that outdated look

staff were very friendly and helpful-room was very comfy and clean-breakfast was very good value ,one of us was gluten free and kitchen staff were excellant-about 20mins in taxi to theatres -tube station just round the corner-eating places just round corner--would definetly book this hotel again
