Pros: Excellent location. Lovely spacious apartment. Very helpful staffs. Great facilities Amazingly good value for money. Will definitely come again
The steep spiral stairs to the apartmenth
Location was great
Washer/dryer was virtually useless location washreat
Location is very good, just in royal mile, convenient to the castle, decoration is quite classic but a bit dark
Cosy - great heating well equipped kitchen Great location
Ugly pipes Difficulty standing in bath to shower- low ceiling Unable to walk in bedroom from RHS. Bed was around 10cm from the wall at the bottom. Not the ambiance of a 5* property
Very close to Edinburth Caste, and close to train and buss terminal. And close to the shopping area in the new town.
No double glazed windows , in fact one window had been broken for some time . The noise from outside was deafening until 4am every night from Wednesday to Saturday. Easily fixed with double glazing.
I am not sure I was helping my girlfriend to do this. She said ok but the location is a bit scary overall, it is good will recommend
The castle and surrounding areas
Entrance to apartment was dissapointing but the apartment were fine
Great location and lots of space.
Wifi was unreliable.
All of it the location the weather was so kind to us the car hire was brilliant as was the shopping loved it all defo go back
Not much apart from that it was very central. Staff were very good and friendly. Helped me with my luggage.
The decor is not very cheap The apartment was in a very scary back street and the stairs to get up there were steep. The apartment had a drip in it that dripped creepily all night. The apartment situation was very creepy and old.
The Location was excellent. Close to everything that we needed. Train, shopping an eating. For you coffee drinkers Starbucks across the street. Great pub . Great fish and chips. Called the Advocate. Must try. Will not be disappointed. Our bed was comfortable.
For a mature couple it was a challenge. we were on the 3 floor. Very small steep and winding stairs. Lacked handrails at some points on the stairwell. The room with the washer was packed with extra bed and bedding. Had to drag it all out to use the washer.
Location is good
I checked in and was appalled by the fact that there are no elevators.imagine carrying your luggage up five floors of steep narrow stairs!!...when I asked them they said that it is mentioned in the site that there are no elevators...I could only laugh at myself..apart from this every time you wanna leave the hotel you have to think twice before leaving as the ordeal of climbing five stories every time you get back to the hotel is daunting...my stay in this place in Edinburgh is best described as "forgettable"
Location Nice bathroom if a little small
No air conditioning making it too warm without the windows open but then the noise from the street was too much. Entrance to block scruffy and dark and dingy floors creak We were staying for the Ryer cup and travelling up on the train, the location was ideal for both city center and train station but it's not what we expected, the pictures online and descriotion make it look 5 star but i'd say more like a 2/3 star.
Close to castle Very room
Stairs to climb
In the middle of all the best parts of Edinburgh: the Royal Mile, the Castle, a short (5 minute) walk to the train station, Princes Street, the excellent National Gallery, the Street Gardens, Calton Hill... Shopping, restaurants, pubs-- you name it.
I liked the location. Can't beat the Royal Mile. The facilities were also great, and the staff very helpful.
I didn't like the steep staircase to the room.
Location and comfort
Noise can be a problem but location made up for it
No blinds in bedroom Wi fi only worked in some areas of the apartment, not the lounge. Security a real problem, front gate needs attention immediately.
We loved everything about this apartment.
We didn't like that we only had a short time to stay.
This spacious apartment was well appointed and PERFECTLY located. It's on the Majestic Mile, right in the middle of it all. Plenty of room. Open the front windows and watch the action. Friendly staff and very responsive. Loved having laundry facilities there. Great value and could sleep up to six!
A bit noisy during the night, due to local restaurants tossing trash, but that's really it.
Loved the location on the Royal Mile close to everything! The apartment was very comfy and cosy and a great place to relax in. The staff were also very helpful with any inquires or issues ie carrying our baggage upstairs.
The 100 step spiral staircase to the top apartments was a challenge. Also the bedroom window didn't open so was a bit hot and stuffy.
The staff were all incredibly pleasant and helpful. We came for the Edinburgh Festival. I was working and the family were having fun. The location is perfect at any time of year. The stairs up to the apartment are a bit uneven so some care needs to be taken. There is a security gate from the street to get in so we felt safe. We had a two bedroom flat overlooking the Royal Mile. The bedrooms were roomy and the beds comfortable. Bathroom modern and clean. Kitchen functional and clean. Lounge a bit tired but still comfortable.
Wi-Fi bit erratic
Location and space were great. Lovely apartment overall and we would definitely use again - particularly if feedback on improvements is implemented!
Lack of key items of kitchen equipment such as frying pan and teapot. Wifi also very poor which made searching for up to date festival ticket info difficult
