The apartment was nice but too small for 6 people to sleep in, would be adeqate for 4. Situation good. They made a m'mistake' with my booking, initially said that I hadn't booked but then I showed them my confirmation of the booking and they admitted it was their mistake. They had given the only penthouse away to someone else as well as the clubman room. We all had to share an apartment on the 19th floor. Two of us had to sleep on a mattress on the floor in the lounge. We had to share a bathroom from one of our friend's ensuite room. It was very disappointing as we were celebrating our 24th wedding anniversary with our friends and had organised this hotel stay with Take That concert. The hotel initially offered us a discount and then agreed no charge on the one night's stay and carpark fee and a bottle of champagne. the bottle of champagne did not transpire however. We felt very disappointed with the service and felt that our penthouse room had been deliberately given to another fee paying guest. We do not feel that we were compensated enough for what had bee planned as a very special treat for all of us.

The best thing about staying cool was the views you felt like you was the highest you could be in Birmingham and you could see for miles also you could not get any closer to the Bull ring unless you slept on the door step :)

Bowled over by every aspect, Jack on reception was outstanding, ensuring my girlfriend had access to the room despite the fact I turned up later, very welcoming, the pictures/photos were exactly as the room, the facilities, perfect, attention to detail also. Would recommend to friends and will certainly stay again.Thoroughly relaxing and the picture windows and views breathtaking. Very hard to find fault, we struggled with the amazing lighting system, but we were tired, and more likely it was us, the options on lighting were exemplary, someone had really thought about every aspect. No I really am struggling to find anything to critizise -genuinely!

A very nice alternative to the usual 4/5 stars hotels. Great location for travelling by train as it was only a few minutes walk from New Street Station. I will be very happy to stay here again. Overall a very good experience but for some reasons, there was no hot water when I arrived. The concierge sorted it out very quickly, though.

Fantastic facilities, perfect location, very user friendly in everything from checkin to wifi. Will definitely use again. Trivial point but I think the bathroom was designed by a female - no shaving mirror and the main mirror is quite set back so difficult to shave !

It felt like a home from home, everything we needed for a short stay was there. I was particularly impressed with the choice of teas and coffees, the fresh oranges for the juicer and that (I presume because it was just before Christmas), a mini selection box of Cadbury's chocolate). The night time views were spectacular. The location is about as central as you can possibly be. On arrival, it took around 10 mins before anyone answered the 24hr contact line and a further 5 mins before showing up with the keys. This was at at 6:15pm. Some minor points for improvement were that the Sky box wasn't HD, the TV was only 40" and felt a little small for the size of the living space it covered and the attached Mac Mini isn't Flash enabled, so despite all the tech at hand I couldn't watch BBC iPlayer.

History of the building and the very nice way in which the building had been redeveloped with appartments. Floor/carpet within appartment detracted from the otherwise high class finish

Staff were polite and hospitable and very helpful, when we had any problems they dealt with them swiftly and efficiently.the penthouse was spacious and clean, with amazing balcony. We had ten guests over for pre dinner drinks and it was a great space to entertain them as opposed to a regular hotel room. It was overall a good stay and I would recommend it to others but only after I had told them of the little niggles that we experienced whilst there. There were a few little things that when added up do make your stay annoying such as,trying to work out the heating which I think should be already switched on for you when you arrive, trying to work out the lighting, very hard work, when staff came up to put these on for us they were very good though. The hot water was very slow to heat up and again we had to call someone up to put it on for us and they had said that if it didnt work then we could use another penthouse bathroom facilities to shower, but that did make us late getting ready and dressed for our guests who were arriving for 7.30pm, we weren't dressed till 8.30. there was no full length mirror in the whole penthouse, could have done with a bin in the bathroom or/and bedroom, some slippers would be nice, and the en suites to both bedrooms should have a bath tub as we only had one bedroom with a tub.

Lovely apartments, very well placed for travelling by rail etc. Beds comfortable, bathrooms lovely with nice products for hair, washing etc. Fresh oranges lovely touch too. Very clean. Views supperb, window openning fantastic. I have stayed here a couple of times and think that rooms could possilbly do with redecorating now, but still lovely and well equipped. What like to see offers for the Rotunda at different times as would definitely use again.

Fabulously modern building and really felt like home from home. Very impressed with the location - couldn't have been more central. And the most amazing views of the city. Very well equipped kitchen, complete with everything you'd need for a morning coffee and breakfast! Satisfied all our requirements for a relaxing stay.

On arrival I was informed that I was upgraded, which was a lovely surprise. The guy on reception was friendly and very helpful. The apartment itself was very clean, brilliant location, and lovely view over birmingham out of the window(especially at night). The apartment is equiped with everything you can think of that you could possibly need, washing machine/drier, coffee machine, juicer, dish washer, to name but a few..

Perfectly positioned, right in the middle of the shopping areas; great view, very nice appartments No lobby, bar or restaurant as in a classic hotel, looks more like a residence, but not that important as there are so many bars and restaurants nearby; there no direct access by car, need to walk arond the building to get to the main entrance
