Disappointed to find that the room offerred was a single room with a double bed whereby opening the bedroom and bathroom door was restricted with very little room for manouvre.. When we complained the response was "what do you expect for the price?" We were refused cancelling unless we payed for the first night resulting in our having to accept an alternative room in the basement, which although more acceptable in size and space had no natural light.and the location and the unadjustable angle/height of the lcd tv made watching it immpossible unless standing. We were told that there were no other rooms available but the vacancy sign contradicted this The general attitude by the reception staff member was that he was doing us a favour.and his customer care left a lot to be desired. Breakfast facilities were very good and went some way to making up for the initial disappointment but if we could have cancelled our stay there without being penalised with the threat of forfeiting one nights payment we would have gone elsewhere, we certainly won't be returning there and would not recommend to others

Location Also, we asked about getting to the airport and were offered for 40 pounds a taxi by the man working at the desk. The man at the desk arranged it all. It was cheaper than the train, underground, and Heathrow Express. We arrived to the airport all relaxed and our driver was wonderful. I would recommend this to anyone needing to get to the airport.

No elevator. Breakfast was awful. Coffee weak. Toast bread was white and cheap and thin. Worst was the narrow stairs and no help with baggage etc. up to upper floors. Never again. First night in a room that the lights failed to switch on until you banged on it for 1 minute.

Good location, nearby Victoria/Pimlico Tube stations, quiet neighborhood, good value for money. Rooms are tiny, but good for sleeping. Don´t expect too much, you might get surprised positively! Recommended! The east-european lady at the breakfast almost smiled once. Maybe next time.. Breakfast was worth almost nothing, but if I turn it to positive, it included the price :d

Location was excellent for Victoria Bus Station and proximity to sights. Room clean and plenty of hot water. Our room was at front of hotel and had a lot of evening noise from nearby pubs. Also room was very hot (weather was unseasonably warm). We used the fan supplied and this did help a bit.

Only the location. They advertise wi fi at 50pence per hour but they then will only let you pay £5 minimum. Size of room.

To be really frank: There is nothing that I like about my stay with ST.George. Your staff were most unhelpful and lazy, to say the least. From the first encounter at the reception, he was rather insulting, scarce with helpful information and was more concerned about playing with his handphone. He gives me the feeling, even though he didn't say it, : " you guys are disturbing my game, so please disappear" And sure enough, I was not even allowed to spread my map on the reception table. Pls note: there were no other guest then. No lifts. And this was not mentioned when I booked online. Reception staff manners need to improve. Very small room. Staff needs to know the meaning of service with a smile. I stayed in two other hotels , in Leeds and also near KingCross. They were great.

The bathroom in our room was quite nice, updated and well maintained. The housekeeper was very nice and tidied everyhing everyday for us which I didn`t expect her to. The breakfast was very good. Therewas no elevator. We had to leave our room key at the desk everytime we left!

The location was good in that a short walk to Victoria tube and train station and the bus station. Also local shops and restaurants are handy. The room was warm and comfortable, although at the very top of the building. The bathroom was large and towels very clean. There was tea and coffee making facilties and TV. Breakfast was not a cooked breakfast.

Central location - suited us ideally. Very good value for an overnight stay. We booked a double room, but found an extra third bed which took up almost available floor space, and for which we were charged.

The member of staff at reception was pleasant and welcoming. The a double room was booked. But when we arrived the room seemed to be a storage room. There were beds stored in our room and we were completely unable to move around freely at all, without clambering over beds. We couldn't even reach the wardrobe. When I went downstairs to discuss this with the member of staff on reception, he was asleep. So my partner and I were stuck in a room which was completely unsuitable. Very shocked.

The Hotel was perfect as it was central & just down the road from Victoria Station for the Tube & Bus routes around London. 11Am usually means you can check into your room & settle in, but not here! We were told abruptly that our room wasn't ready & that we wouldn't get in until 12 o clock noon. We also found a single bed in an otherwise small room, which obstructed the wardrobe ! We asked if it could be removed & were blankly told no!! Wouldn't stop here again, sorry

The location was great, near of victoria Station and many restaurants and supermarkets. The room was small but clean, and every day they changed towels and clean the room. It's a cool hotel for city breaks and people who wants an hotel for stay only in the end of the day. The breakfast was nice with cereals, milk, coffea, toasts, juice, tea and yogurts. The staff was frendly and helpfull.

Location to coach station amenities and attractions, continental breakfast, the reception staff were pleasant I requested when booking well in advance quietest/largest/double room The room was a double size but was very cramped by an additional single bed that was not required so much so the desk and wardrobe were not able to be used due to single bed in the way. The room was too close to reception whereby sleep was interrupted during the night and morning due to doors banging from opposite room and talking from reception by both staff and visitors alike even after I informed staff of the problem after the first night nothing changed on the second night. I understand the restricted space available in cities but for the price I would have expected at least basic comfort whereby the single bed could have been removed, the reception staff I would have expected could have advised guests not to bang doors in interests of other guests. pleasant reception staff could have being more attentive to guests in rooms adjacent. Kitchen staff we both found them sullen and not well mannered by staring at guests in an unfriendly manner. understand they have to see when to attend to table but the atmosphere was not comfortable and again noisy by way of the steel chairs clattering on the tile, perhaps stick on fabric buffers would reduce the noise as they do in my kitchen at home. Overall too noisy and cramped and guests requests not taken seriously

The only thing that came up to my expectations was that the location suited my purposes... I did not like that we had to find out for ourselves that the heating in the room was off (they should tell us to turn it on when we arrived). The room was tiny and to get to the room we had to climb seven or eight flights of stairs. The breakfast was just inadequate. But the thing that made me and my friends the worst impression was that the man in the reception was not so polite,in fact he was rude and not talkable at all...

This 2* hotel is very good value for money. It is central to victoria from where you can get all over London by bus train or tube. I have stayed at this hotel before and although the rooms are not very big was pleased with the cleanliness, the reception staff are friendly and the breakfast although basic is plenty to set you up for the day.i would certainly recommend it.
