St Giles Hotel Heathrow  

The location for us was good, there is parking but you have to pay the bed linen was nice and clean, reception staff very polite and helpful

The rooms are starting to get shabby air con was rubbish unable to cool a very hot room had to get staff to open the window then could not close it. New years eve day and night children all over drinking in the stair areas ( underage ) , playing in the lifts so getting a lift was a nightmare,

The price is right for a clean comfortable hotel within striking distance of Heathrow.

No free shuttle service to Heathrow (£15). 20 mins on a bus to get to nearest underground station (Hatton Cross),.

I was disturbed by a woman - short, elderly and speaking some unknown language - @ around 1:47am in the middle of the night who kept banging @ doors and waking up everybody on floor 8 and I couldn't sleep again until 4:00am. The woman didn't leave until I had to make the emergency call. I was surprised how she gained entrance into the hotel and the floor without anybody's knowledge and I wonder how secure and safe the hotel really is. Considering my doubt about the safety, security and that I arrived @ the hotel late and tired, and had a flight to catch in the morning and couldn't get up to 3 hrs of sleep, I strongly don't think I would want to stay in the hotel for my next visit.

The temperature of the water in the bathroom was only just hot enough to use as a shower but when trying to fill a bath it was not hot enough, even on the highest setting.Ther was also some black markings on the tiles . On the whole not as good as the premier inn closer to the airport.which has a better standard .

Breakfast was very poor greasy food and looked like it was at a Hostel as opposed to a Hotel. I previously stayed at this Hotel a few years ago being in Transit at Heathrow then it was pleasing ,now it has gone into decline

The room was perfectly adequate for a business visit overnight from a comfort point of view and was certainly clean and tidy.

My room overlooked the railway line and constantly woke me up from about 4.00 A.M. onwards so if you are that side, I suggest a move!

Very close to both London and the outer areas.

I would like to have shower gel in my bathroom.

Cleanliness

Beds are all the same size. I booked a 'suite' at higher cost because Booking.com said it had a 'large double' but no rooms have more that 4 foot 6 inch bed, even though rooms designed for larger beds so cabinets miles away from bed.

Has a Gym. Is fairly modern. Close to train station

Doesnt do room service despite having a restaurant.

Its closeness to Heathrow and a railway station to go into London
