Location great staff very friendly, great value for a London hotel
Even though the room was good value it was very small and I would like ordinary hangers that are easier to work with especially in such a small room.
Having stayed at the hotel at least 4 times previously we are never disappointed. The staff are always very pleasant and helpfull. We have had various rooms in the hotel and all are very comfortable. The new restaurant at the side of the building is great, open 27/7. They have a good selection on the menu and reasonably priced. Great place to eat after the theatre.
Convenient location near Oxford Street; reception staff tried their best
Very, very small bedroom; tiny, black-tiled bathroom with door that didn't close; bedroom doors that banged whenever neighbours came in or out; card reader door 'keys' that only worked on the 4th attempt. Huge and impersonal hotel.
All staff efficent and very helpful.
Although comfortable the room was small
Very close to Tottenham Court Road tube and Dominion Theatre.
No air conditioning and toilet door handle came off in hand!
Staff very friendly and accommodating
The bathroom fan did not work so when the shower was on it made everything else in the bathroom wet and the rest of the room very hot. No tea bags in room.
Very nodiy. Noises can be heard at 3rd floor
The location is perfect. A lot of restaurants and shops are within a walking distance. The is a supermarket across from the hotel. The cost is reasonable. I would stay there again for these reasons.
My room was the smallest I have ever seen. Its furnishing is rather poor. There was not even space for my suitcase. My room was on the 8 floor. It was not facing a major street, but the noise was unbearable. The room is not soundproof. You could hear your neighbors, music and people on the street below the window as late as at 2-3 am.
Location was super, staff was very helpful and pleasant
They desperately need wifi access that is not "pay for service". Way too nice a facility to be limited in access
The St Giles experience a great way to start a holiday or any stay
London traffic noise
Location Price Comfort
Have to pay for gym Size of room No lock on bathroom
Service at reception/concierge was competent and efficient. Can't comment on food - didn't eat there.
Outdated building, tired decor, very poor use of space, worn out room furnishings, all made for unfriendly building; staff uncomfortable, guests fighting for space in public areas, heat retained so stuffy and uncomfortable on cool day! Despite double-glazing in a small window, our room (710) was noisy all night.
Excellent value for money, Hotel was a lot better than I expected for the money. Staff very helpful & friendly. Location is fantastic for central London.
Room was a bit small & shower was broken. Do not let this put you off though, I am being picky.
It was central and the staff were helpful we enjoyed our stay
Could'nt find fault with anything
Location Comfortable bed Helpful staff
The staff were helpful
Location Breakfast Staff
Room small and stuffy - far too hot, bed small
Concierge staff extremely helpful, as were all members of staff. We arrived before check in time but were still able to access our room - very efficient. Our room was fairly small, but adequate. The location was perfect for our visit to the theatre.
The mattress on my bed was very bouncy and although I slept very well, my mother found her bed rather uncomfortable. Our stay was brief and we would have liked to have had more time to explore and use more of the hotel - maybe next time.
The staff were great, attentive and professional; The hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable; I was on the top floor so didn't hear much traffic noise; There was a handy little fridge in the room
I was in an 'executive' double room but it was TINY! Barely room for one person, let alone two; It was great for me on business though and I'd stay there again - but not on a leisure break with my husband
So near to everything!
For a central City London Hotel this was a good price for a room. Concierge were helpful and efficient. coffe and tea provided
staff at check in were curt, not the best first impression. Room was small and dated but then it was a cheap price. Air conditioning was antiquated and so noisy and having the window open was not an option because of the 24 hour noise from the traffic and street below.
Good value for money
Would have liked a bar of soap for use in the bath.
No DE-caff coffee!!!!!!!
