It was great to be near facilities, Theatre, busses, Hop on Hop off bus. We were able to walk to theatre and anywhere we wanted to visit. Convenient to nice reataurants, Theatre first night was just around the corner. I have already recommended this hotel to two friends who intend travelling shortly to London.

Excellent location for Oxford St & tottencourt Rd shopping and the 'We Will Rock You' peformance at the Dominion Theatre. Single room was small and rather tired. The light fitting in bathroom was rusty but bathroom was always very clean. Towels were showing their age and quite rough compared to usual hotel standards. Carpet had creases in the middle of the room, and various wear patches. It seems you pay for the location, not the quality of the room, although I was staying in the cheapest room available, but still £79 per night.

Great location for Soho, Covent Garden, Theatres and tube station. We arrived early and our room was already available the reception desk staff were very helpful and professional. Very small rooms, ours was a deluxe room a standard room must be minute. Extremely noisy at night with traffic noise and builders removing scaffolding from a building opposite the hotel.

Location The hotel was extremely noisy. The outside noise due to its location is to be expected. However during my stay I was disturbed by the noise of other guest banging and shouting from around 2am until 4-5am meaning I was unable to sleep. On complaining I was given a different room on a different floor for the second night of my two night stay but his was by the lift on the sixth floor and the noise of passengers from the lift also gave a very disturbed night in addidition to the noise in the corridor from tiled floors and ladies heels. The hotel could definately benefit from sound proofing and more security on the floors as a woman travelling alone I felt very intimidated from the noise of other guest arguing, banging and kicking doors in the early hours of the morning.

Good location We didn't realise we had to pay to use the leisure facilities like the swimming pool as they weren't actually part of the hotel! Was really disappointed as part of the reason we chose to stay here was because it had a swimming pool (assume that it would be included in the hotel fees). There was no mention on the website or booking that we had to pay for the facilities!

Our room was on rooftop level, with a large window area, so we had a wonderful view across the city. Then we had a superb breakfast on the Sunday morning in the Executive breakfast room. All the self-service items were of a high standard and very tasty. The cooked breakfast was then served to your table and was very good. We did think that for an Executive King room, there could at least have been one armchair. We only had a desk-type chair or the bed to sit on. The main complaint was the breakfast on the Monday morning. The Executive breakfast room was closed and we had to go to the main restaurant. I can't remember such an awful breakfast experience anywhere we have stayed. It was like the worst canteen/motorway stop you can imagine. The food was edible (although not a great variety - couldn't even get toast), but if we had gone to this restaurant on the Sunday morning, we definitely would not have repeated the experience on the Monday. A complete let-down at the end of a lovely weekend.

The hotel's central location The toilet was not cleaned properly or disinfected. And, the room telephone system is ridiculous: anyone in the hotel can phone any other bedroom in the middle of the night and wake up the resident guest. Change the phone system so that all internal calls have to go through a central switchboard.

the location was very central room was clean. room very small especially the bathroom it was extremely noisy both from other rooms on the floor and from the street. This was despite my request for a quiet room when booking there was a lingering smell of food on the corridor and the lift was constantly full and we were on the fourth floor. The breakfast area was like a factory canteen very noisy and busy by the time you got to end of queue food was cold

The hotel is nearby Oxford street, and a 10 minutes walk from Covent Garden. The room had a safe and a little refrigerator. We had payed ekstra for a deluxe double room. One very little sleeping room and a little room with a seating area and workspace. That worked nicely as one of us likes to go to bed early, and the other one likes to sleep late! In our room there was a slatted shutter that let a lot of light in in the morning. We would have preferred dark curtains because it was difficult to sleep after 5 am. The room and bathroom was clean but weathered down. The breakfast was really boring and I would recommend you to go to a cafe like the Pret a Manger. If you want the breakfast it costs 7 pounds per person and can be charged to your room. This we were told was a campaign offer. We had prepayed 9.95 pp and asked for a refund of the extra 2.95 per person per night. That amounts to 23.60 we payed to much. The friendly receptionist had to go to her manager to ask if we could get it refunded because as we had prepayed it was not possible. It ended with us getting our money back.

The hotel location was good for what we wanted. Thought the room 328 was cramped as was the shower room, Very dificult to get in and out of. Potential accident waiting to happen. Constance noise disturbance during the night if the window was open. Having a fan in the room did help. Thought the breakfast room was poorly designed with not much atmosphere, bit like a college canteen. Would like to have had breakfast each day of our visit rather than just the once.I Appreciate that it has to cater for large numbers but was disapointed that our experience was not better. Found Cafe Rouge down the road much more inviting.

I stayed in an executive room, it was nice, small but nice. I really enjoyed the breakfast, good start to the day. The hotel was extremely busy however and staff seemed to be under extreme pressure at all time. Some of the personal touch when checking in seemed to be gone. I've stayed in the hotel a good few times in 2011 and over the years. The main reason I stay is down to price and location as I work about 5 mins from the hotel when I am in London. The room was a bit cold and noisy as the room was to the front of the hotel.

Well priced room of a decent size with a great shower bathroom. Two mornings out of four - when I forgot to put the do not disturb sign on the door handle - housekeeping knocked on my door before 9am (one of them at 8.23!). On both occasions I was in a deep sleep and bitterly resented the intrusion.I was on a holiday and not planning to leave for the day until 10am. Considering the number of lifts, they are unbelievably slow and rare. I spent several wasted minutes waiting to get to the seventh floor or having to miss lifts coming down as they were too full.

Clean rooms, even if they were a bit small and boring. Lamps did not work in my room. Wake up call did not go through because telephone was out of order, the hotel did not bother to check if I was awake. The so called "executive breakfast" was I think the poorest breakfast I have seen in a hotel the last twenty years.

It was a great location. I used the pool at the ymca twice. Breakfast in the Hakkuba room was excellent. Good beds, nice bathroom. The lifts were a pain as often full but always got a 2nd lift. We chose a deluxe room and was first placed in room 1025 which was tiny, barely room to put our 2 suitcases. It also had a strong sewer smell from the bathroom - really disgusting. I was first told that, as the hotel was full, we couldn't be moved. I would have left the hotel the next day if I had had to stay in the room but a different man on reception then put us in room 901 which did not smell and had a sofa and was a much better size. Room 1025 should have its plumbing fixed and be dowgraded to a standard room, This experince makes me nervous about booking again as the maid told us there were two rooms that often smell, how can I be sure we won't get a bad room again? How can I be sure that I will get a decent sized room like 901 again?
