Arguably the most central hotel in London, located in the heart of the West End at the foot of Oxford Street with the whole of London on your doorstep.

Only 50 yards from Tottenham Court Road underground / tube station (Exit 3) serviced by the Northern and Central Line. Within walking distance of the City's main Shopping areas of Oxford Street, Bond Street and Regent Street. In the heart of Theatreland, Leicester Square, Covent Garden, Chinatown and Soho.

Unique to the hotel, guests are able to enjoy (at a very nominal charge of 4 GBP per person per stay, payable locally) access to one one the largest and best equipped Health & Fitness facilities in Central London, featuring 25m Fitness Swimming Pool, extensive Cardio Zone. In addition, over 100 exercise classes, climbing wall, table tennis etc can be used by guests subject to availability. Other activities, Massage and Beauty Therapy, plus a number of speciality classes are available at an extra cost.

There are four Guest Lifts in service between reception and the 11th Floor (access to the 12th Floor is via a short flight of stairs from the 11th Floor). Two of these lifts also service the Health Club on the lower ground level.

The hotel has a Casino (operated by Gala Casino) adjacent to the hotel. Enquire direct with Gala for detailed joining procedures (guests must join by completing a membership form, provide proof of permanent address and passport or drivers license as ID).

An excellent location for both shopping and theatres. Convenience to the underground and the bus line made journey planning very easy. The room although not huge was of a very acceptable size. Breakfast arrangement are a little like a school or factory canteen facility but the quailty of food was very acceptable.

Very well located,easy walking distance of many tourist sites, very good value for money

Bedrooms could do with a makeover, duvet cover and chairs in room were not very clean

The staff were very professional and friendly. The room was cleaned daily. The hotel is ideally located in the city close to transport and dining facilities.

The lift from the 11th floor to Roof Top Rooms was being newly installed. I was not informed of this prior to my check in. I found this extremely inconvienent due to a sports injury I picked up (knee). I believe my room was situated on the 14th floor which meant I had to climb 3/4 levels of stairs. For the last 2 nights of my stay the was no lighting on these back stairs. Very poor indeed.

The room that was booked was far to small for three people with no room for hanging clothes. The mattresses had broken springs in them, which made for a sleepless night. The end result was the party booking into another hotel at an extra cost, making the weekend of to as very bad start

I vist London on a twice yearly visit, and have always stayed at the St Giles. The double rooms are ideal for one person.

The single rooms are tiny, but the twin rooms are better.

Fire alarms went off twice in one night and the staff appeared to not be too bothered. Appreciate that not necessarily their fault but they could show a more caring attitude, especially in the early hours of the morning.
