Costumer care was friendly and helpful. A caring family feel to the place. Bathrooms were nice and modern, but as the hotel is slowly being refurbished living quarters we're clean but dated in style.
Location was good for lakeside and acess to motor ways but if no car is a little restricted but there is a pub down the road in 15 mins walk. Dark at night to walk
Stayed here with my partner we had a nice bed the shower was excellent nice and clean if your looking for a cheap night this is value for money defo would return.
The tv was just abit to small need to be larger.
Noisy - next to A13
I found the staff welcoming, the hotel was modest, clean, spacious, comfortable and at a reasonable price, I had been there some 15/20 years previous on business and so it had changed a bit. I would certainly go to stay there again, if in the area (we went to RHS Hyde Hall).
The sign posting to the hotel, was a bit paucy, tho' this was my fault for not down loading the directions, (relying on an old memory of the area), plus it was throwing down with rain on a very dark night.
room was warm and clean
located at the end of a track - hotel had no facilities for eating with none within walking distance . A13 traffic noise
The bed was comfy and excellent location! The deco of the room was good!
The shower needed a good clean, few molds around the edges! The room and reception needed a good clean, hover, duster many cobwebs found in the room! Reception had a strange empty feeling to it like a hall! No features which would add value to the guest house! Possibly add a sofa of cupboards!
After reading a few negative reviews of this hotel I must say that I was very pleasantly surprised with how clean and tidy the hotel was. Everything was perfectly good, the staff very friendly and I would recommend.
The water wasn't very hot.
The room and the environment.
Close to Lakeside and IKEA for Christmas Shopping Very good value for money Friendly helpful staff who were able to answer any questions we had Basic clean room Excellent power shower Tea and Coffee making facilities
Difficult to find - keep going up the track, you'll get there Broken window in bathroom Despite being clean the building is a bit tired and could do with updating - difficult though as it is a listed building No breakfast available
Large room. Friendly staff. Personal approach. Excellent value for money.
Small TV in our room, so watched TV in my older children's room. Needs clearer sign posting.
The Stifford Clays Farmhouse, was very homely, comfortable, clean and wam.. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
The exterior lighting didn't work, so it was difficult to see the steps, going back in late at night. Also no facilities to eat, on site, which was a bit disappointing.
Good location. Staff were friendly and willing to help.
Booking was for 2 but only one towel. TV a bit small for room. Reception area dirty. Window did not open.
Small TV, not very good signal
Nothing to like
The damp in the bathroom and the tv didn't work no reception
The room was very warm Good for getting to Lakeside before the rush
Poor signage problem finding it in the dark. Fly tripping along the lane leading to farmhouse. Although kitchen having update a continental breakfast could have been provided. Bathroom had black mould on ceiling. Would have been nice to have a chair in the room.
Bed was comfortable and clean.
Pillows contained dust as difficulty breathing in morning, bathroom basin had no plug, just a big hole. Only mirror over basin, afraid to drop anything. Bathroom smelled foisty, shower curtain had black mould at bottom.
Bed was so comfortable. Staff were friendly. Room was warm, ample space, well furnished and clean. Good parking. Bathroom clean and equipped. Easy check in and out and the staff helped me when I had an issue with checking in times.
A minor and very minor negative was the room was very hot but I am used to sleeping with windows open so probably reflects on me more than anything.
Beautiful location Excellent Price Great value for money Kind staff Would love to visit again.
It was a great experience staying there. Would definitely come again
management very helpfull
does not do food ,poorly situated, television barely work, hotel itself very shabby
I liked the fact that it was extremely warm in the room considering it was a cold night and the pleasantness of the staff, highly recommended will definitely visit if in the same neck of woods. SUPER COMFY BED. SHOWER SUPERB. BEST 45 quid ever spent.
The window in the bathroom was knackered. All seals had gone and were held on with duct tape. Made the entire room pretty cold. Overall could have been a lot worse though.
Big comfy bed with fresh and clean sheets; when I did have a problem with TV and Internet it was sorted quickly! Considering expense of accomodation in the area it wasn't bad value! Cracking shower!
Very run down building; lots of mildew around windows and in wardrobe- such a shame for a beautiful old building! Poor internet connection for half the time and not great tv signal!
The Bed was good
No kitchen, no service, no cleaning, no good!
The bathroom was cold ,shower curtain was dirty ,no hot water.
