Everything was lovely, very nicely decorated and clean, warm and comforting. Excellent for the price
No tea or coffee making facilities in the building
Great stay, recommended, friendly staff and kitchen in the room with fast free wifi!
Nothing really, just a bit dated and bathroom needed a fresh coat of paint.
PRICE,CLEANLINESS, EASE OF LOCATION,VERY WELL APPOINTED AND VERY QUIET INTERNALLY.EXCELLENT BATHROOM.ACROSS THE ROAD FOR GREAT LOCAL UBS AND SHOPS.
FOUND ROOM VERY WARM AND A CONSTANT NOISE OF TRAFFIC FROM THE NEARBY A1
Liked the convenience to restaurants. Liked being self-contained, breakfasting in our own time.
Our room was at the front of the hotel, on the road and experienced road noise on and off, my wife is a light sleeper so it kept her awake. Would return, but with a room off the road.
Everything we needed and a very comfortable bed. The staff were delightful.
The exterior could do with a bit of love and attention.
A friendly welcome despite the fact that I arrived rather later than intended. There was an unexpected theme to the room, mine was "Alaska". Pictures on the wall to match the theme and a humorous selection of stuffed toys (husky dog, polar bear) and other figures (penguins, a bear and a reindeer). One you got over this the room was compact but not unreasonably small but the bathroom a bit cramped. The biggest surprise was the massive cupboard that contained the usual tea and coffee facilities but also a kitchen sink, microwave and good selection of crockery and cutlery. The room was quiet and the bed comfortable. Local village was quite small but in a good location close to the A1(M), so a good stop-off point. On-site parking available.
The hotel was central to the village and The Talbot pub over the road served meals on the evening.
Unable to get breakfast in the morning. although there was a small kitchenette there was no toaster due to fire hazard
Very clean & comfortable. Ideally situated for a wedding at The Bell. The hidden kitchenette was an absolute delight. Will definitely use again.
everything I wanted,at a realistic price,-no breakfast supplied, but I was happy to go with this as it gave me the option of keeping the price down.Breakfast was available at Tesco just 10 mins away.
felt a bit odd that there were no staff on site, although were contactable if needed.
A very spacious room and the kitchen facilities
No breakfast offered
The place was clean with modern bathroom facilities. The local grocery shops were open late (10pm) and stocked the sort of provisions you could use at Stilton Lodge. A choice of restaurants within easy walking distance.
There was only minimal crockery, glasses etc.
Compact and utilitarian.
The wait for someone to unlock the hotel to let us in.
Good value, comfortable, quiet, nice little kitchen
Nothing really but some washing up liquid in the kitchen area would be useful
How refreshing and what a great idea to have a micro kitchen in the room. We found this very appealing and would return for this alone as it suits our travel needs.
Nothing to complain about.
Kitchenette was useful and enabled cooking a meal in the room rather than having to go out
Wifi reception was poor
When I arrived at Stilton Lodge, it was late but I called the mobile number that is on the building and was spoken to very politely. Throughout my stay the room was cleaned to a high standard and I was welcomed by all staff. On top of that there were two lovely pubs across the road, with great food and also great service. I will definitely stay there again and will recommend to as many as possible.
Generous room for one, good kitchenette
The stilton lodge is a great place to stay no problem with anything and there is a fantastic pub called the bell just down the road great food and drink .
The room was clean and comfortable and parking wasn't a problem. In Stilton are plenty of places too eat and there is a shop opposite in case you forget to bring some breakfast essentials.
The TV in the room was tiny.
Good value for location and nice comfy bed. Liked the room themes too.
Service ~ Was left a bit unsure how payment worked and in the end had to request receipt. Some of the decor needed attention ~ had sticky tape on mirror.
The rooms were clean and themed with a great little kitchenette. Good location in village and the staff were really friendly.
We had a little problem with the shower being too hot but the girls gave us the use of another room.
Room very clean
Very small room, didn't see any staff at all throughout stay
clean, quiet, kitchen facilities useful. helpful staff.
some fairy liquid would have been good! or maybe I didn't spot it!
Ease of booking Friendliness of the person i spoke to Cleanliness of the room and its decor Ease of parking Value for money, the hotel was £20.00 cheaper than one large well known chain and only £6.00 more expensive than another competitor on the main A1, for the same offering. Will definitely use again when in the area.
