Friendly staff Excellent breakfast Superb evening meal. Well equipped gymnasium Relaxing pool and steam room.
No view from our room, but lovely room otherwise.
Lovely hotel, lovely food and nice staff.
The mattresses on the beds were much too soft and there was a wedding the night we stayed so was a bit noisy but that's a personal opinion. Cant fault everything else.
Staff and service were excellent
Rooms in the coach house have a dated feel although the bathroom appeared to be quite new. Perfectly adequate for our stay.
The staff are friendly and very helpful. Denise and her staff make every visit very special. Rooms are well kept and the grounds are lovely. Good food and the chef is always happy with any special dial try requirements. Look forward to our next visit.
There's loads to like! The bedroom (Executive) was very spacious, and the bathroom had both a bath and walk-in shower. Everything was spotlessly clean, toiletries were high quality and the towels were luxurious. The bed/mattress was superb - I had the best night's sleep I've ever had in an hotel (and I've stayed in hundreds!!). The food - at dinner and at breakfast - was very good - plenty of choice at both. At breakfast they come round with more bacon, sausage, tomatoes etc. Amazing! We also had afternoon tea which was very generous & extremely tasty.
Parts of the hotel are a little out-dated, but this was outweighed by the very modern decor and facilities in the bedroom.
Excellent dinner and breakfast. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Lovely view from bedroom window of surrounding countryside.
From the minute we walked through the door and were handed a doggie bag for our terrier Rufus we knew that we were going to have a wonderful time. We were not dissapointed. Nothing was a trouble , the staff excelled themselves to make our week end special. We could not fault a single thing. We will most certainely return.
The hotel and grounds were lovely.
Food and service in the restaurany were both superb. Complementary port and dessert wine were a lovely surprise. All staff were friendly, informative and helpful. Walk in the grounds was interesting and we enjoyed the spa facilities.
Bedroom was too hot as the radiator in the bathroom didn't turn off.
Very friendly and professional staff Owner of the hotel present and personally welcoming guests at breakfast and very hands on The breakfast as with our last visit was excellent There was a huge selection, more than enough to eat and first class presentation and quality We had to advise the owner that one of our dogs had an accident in the bedroom and he was very understanding, we of course are very apologetic about this Lovely room in lovely setting Highly recommended
There is nothing we didn't like
A very friendly, clean, comfortable hotel in a wonderful location with leisure facilities.
Nothing to dislike
Staff were fantastic. Extra cooked breakfast was awesome.
Cold swimming pool but apparently this was being repaired.
Room needed updating looked very tired.
Fantastic breakfast, great evening meal, lovely view.
Draught in the lounge, wet floors in the spa.
nice warm welcome from staff on arrival and staff at breakfast service were very accomodating and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was superb ! Friendly, helpful staff make all the difference and would definitely stay here again.
noisy pipes in bathroom kept me awake for a short time.
The whole experience was great. The hotel was very clean and benefitted from the leisure facilities and the grounds. But best of all were the staff, who were all very professional and they could not do enough to be helpful. If I owned a hotel, this is the hotel I would send them to for staff training.
Staff were of the highest standard, very helpful, very professional and friendly throughout all services. Food on the whole was extremely good although the duck was a little tough and the seasoning of the dish could be improved with a few more oriental spices. The sticky toffee pudding was exceptional. Wines were of the finest standard and very well kept.
Our rooms were let down a little by the standard of the bathrooms, the toilet seats and flooring, poor quality plastic and Lino on the floor in comparison to the toilet facilities on the ground floor. The toilet facilities on the first floor were also of poor standard. A little attention to detail in these areas and the result would be superb.
Friendly staff, excellent food and big and very comfortable room. Surrounded by own grounds.
The room was ideal for my mother, who has walking difficulties as it had a good walk in shower. The staff were very helpful and the food was excellent. The views and wildlife were superb and the swimming pool was very good.
Wi-fi wasn't as easy to access as in many hotels - maybe this was due to the location.
This hotel really is fantastic. Food, staff and facilities and you can take your dog!
Theres nothing to dislike about this hotel its a credit to the owners
Excellent service, outstanding food, fantastic breakfast... beautiful surroundings...
Staff all efficient and welcoming. Food both at evening meal and breakfast was excellent with so many extra touches that made the experience memorable.
Mattress a little too soft for our liking but this did not spoil the overall experience.
Lovely room with great view of owls hunting. Very welcoming staff for pets and their owners! Food exceptional.
Spa only partly working and swimming pool in need of a face lift although a decent size with nice changing rooms and friendly staff
Location, Overall hotel. fantastic food. Felt like a King and eaten like one.
Didn't stay long enought of get time to use the leisure activities.
Staff were efficient and friendly, dinner and breakfast were excellent, room was large and clean and the bed very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel and will return very soon.
Steam room was out of order
