From the moment we arrived we felt really at home and very comfortable. The room was very lovely and warm. Great bed. The food at dinner and breakfast were excellent. All the staff were very helpful and friendly.
Only being able to stay one night
Excellent breakfast, relaxing setting and friendly staff. A fabulous short break in an outstanding part of the Pendle area.
Staff were friendly and attentive, I particularly liked being greeted on coming downstairs in the morning and shown to my table for breakfast. Cooked breakfast choice was great, including eggs benedict, which was a first for me at a hotel. Lovely fresh fruit on the buffet. Bedroom was spacious and mattress was amazingly comfortable too!
The decor upstairs was a little dated, but neat and clean.
Helpful staff, excellent food and a warm welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Would not hesitate to recommend the accommodation.
Food & service always excellent,a real pleasure to stay even when away from home for work.leisure facilities are a nice bonus.
Nice hotel - clearly well run with friendly and helpful staff. Huge comfortable bed, pleasant view from room over snowy fields. Roaring fire in lounge after dinner!
Strangely no pictures on bedroom walls but a minor issue.
Very friendly, helpful staff Spacious room Comfortable lounge with log fire Superb breakfast
Works Christmas 'do' was a bit intrusive
The bed was the comfiest I have ever slept in and the food although a bit pricey was well worth the money. The staff were very polite and helpful and the old manor house part of the facility was lovely.
If you wanted to dine out elsewhere at night it is a bit out of the way.
Lovely Suite. Food was excellent as was the ambiance. Very relaxing. Really enjoyed our stay.
Food, Bed, location, staff
Polite staff. Comfy bed. Very pet friendly. Beautiful location.
Quiet location close to where I need to be, good parking, excellent restaurant, nice rooms, great service.
Nothing really WiFi strength is sometimes weak for business use in rooms.
Countryside location and the 16th Century setting and fireplace very nice breakfast and very nice staff would come again next year everything was down to attention for detail.
The friendly staff. The large clean room with maid service. The lounge and seating area where drinks could be taken in warmth and comfort. Large impressive breakfast room where they served an excellent breakfast even better when we were offered extras. The free use of the Leisure Centre again the staff were friendly and was a pleasure to use the swimming pool, this place was spotless, very modern and a pleasure to use.
My only problem was the large king sized bed, the mattress had a slope and well in it causing me to nearly fall out of bed.
Always book when available as close to the business I need to visit, nice rooms, great location, small fitness centre with pool attached, excellent restaurant and breakfast, fantastic staff.
Some rooms require a little refurbishment, WiFi a bit hit and miss.
Very professional and attentive staff. Excellent facilities for our dog....lovely walks and play area. Superb food.......best breakfast choice we have ever had ...thank you
The peace and calm not only of the hotel but also of its location.
Although we are dog lovers, the presence of three dogs with 3 doting couples in one lounge was not to our liking.
The remote location and quietness . Friendly staff. Real open fires made it very cosy. A lovely relaxing place.
The amount of catering staff asking if your meal was ok. One waitress would have been fine. Hard boiled eggs for breakfast which should have been a bit runny so as to dip your soldiers!
Ambience of the hotel was fabulous. Hotel was calm, relaxing, with highly attentive (but not intrusive) staff. We stayed for dinner, bed and breakfast, and both meals were exceptional quality and value for money. We used the spa facilities which were great, having spent the afternoon cycling around the area.
The only downside was the bed, which was incredibly soft - personal preference is for a much firmer mattress.
The cleanliness, the Food, the facilities. ,the Staff, the decor
The lumpy uncomfortable bed with hard patches which needs a shield between the under sheet and the mattress
The staff, the food, the pool, the Dining Room and the Fire !
Breakfast is fab.
Breakfast and customer service
The rooms were large and well equipped, the staff were attentive without being pushy, the food was excellent and the ambience was relaxing.
The steam room wasn't working when we were there.
