Nearly every aspect from arrival to departure.
the double bed was uncomfortable and a little small for two adults.
Ideal hotel for our visit to Stirling. Well located with comfortable rooms and a good breakfast menu on offer.
For the price, the hotel was very good. The staff were helpful, friendly and accommodating. The room was clean, comfortable and very quiet. Breakfast was very good and, although the evening menu was limited, the food I had was good considering the cost.
I was disappointed by the lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the room.
We booked as a couple yet the room was equipped for 1. 1 set of towels, 1 bedside cabinet, 1 glass. Not good. This was an upgrade so heaven knows what the basic would have provided.
Very nice restaurant with very good variation. helpful staff. nice room area.
The phone number giving sometimes linked to answer machine which is not handy if once lost the way to the hotel. the way the light switches in the room is a little bit funny
Room was large and spacious despite low price and was warm when I entered, nice array of molton brown soaps in the bathroom for complimentary use
Bed was very hard
No warmth amongst the staff especially at reception. Decor quite stark and business-like. Reception failed on a simple request and had to be reminded.
Very central.. lovely location and clean. Would recommend.
nice, clean and friendly place. good food served at night. excellent value for money, we will use again.
pillows were not good. too hard for my comfort. stairs to go up and down to get to the bedroom.nice
The grounds are beautiful.
Loved the location. Lovely hotel , friendly , efficient staff. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice .
Decent price, especially room service. Clean and centrally located between Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Pool closed very early on weekends, practically unusable. Few small things that remind you it's somewhat of a budget place, which is fine unless you don't have a discounted price.
Staff were very helpful.the girl on the reception was excellent and helpful
Ease of parking. Reasonable cost of meals in the bar. Cleanliness. Very nice hot breakfast. Pleasant staff. Warm bedroom
Bit too bland decor. Lights too bright in dining room. Bar area a bit cold.
bed was very comfortable!!!
could provide recyclable facility in hotel lounge area could be improved
Location, quality of breakfast.
Room was "tired" and furnishings "dated", Chewing gum stuck to wall,Window falling apart, TV too small for room and "tinny" sound, Bed too small, No grab rail to get in and out of shower (my wife is disabled).
Reasonable location, although definitely not a short stroll from the town centre. Good value for what I paid (c.£45 including breakfast), but I think seriously overpriced if paying the "full" rate.
This hotel was (and probably still is) the Stirling University management training centre, and still feels a little like an upmarket student hall of residence. The corridors were noisy, and the breakfast was reasonable if not inspiring, not helped by overly-loud piped Christmas music. Most of the cable TV channels in the room didn't work.
Food and value
Room set for one person.
When booking hotel website showed lovley larger room with seating area. When arrived it was an averge room. When mentioned to staff I was advised photo was likely tain suite. We were expecting what was in photo. Hotel was booked due to value and for what was thought to be special room as it was special occasion.
great value, excellent breakfast, bathroom toiletries, tea/ coffee facilities, comfortable bed, nice location/views. Would stay again.
Food was good Breakfast was decent Room temperature was good and easy to adjust
Slow Wifi connection Room was a bit dated Staff were not the friendliest and at times did not come across as approachable
