Room was nice and clean, venue itself is great. Although it's hard to find on the campus, when I finally found the hotel (which had since changed name from my booking details), I received a nice welcome and the room was comfy and had everything I needed. I had a course the next day so was it was a really useful base. I already had a parking space from the previous evening to which was great as I believe it was a real problem to find parking for other people arriving just for the course on the day.
Friendly and helpful staff
Not enough twin rooms
The place was quiet and clean and allowed a good sleep after workdays - that is all I liked about it and I am sure the same can be found elsewhere in Stirling.
The hotel info materials nicely conceal the fact that it is too far from the city center. If you order a taxi there, count on a half an hour waiting time and the same is with the public transportation, esp. on weekends. The reception staff was rude and largely uninterested to assist with orientation and practical matters such as advice on local transport, sites or currency exchange.
access to facilities are free to use. Room very clean and comfortable
Clean Pleasant and helpful staff
Bit old fashioned and out of date Poor quality of breakfast Telephone wake up call failed due to a poor telephone connection in our room
University facilities, easy to find
Dining room and to some extent the bedrooms felt abit like an institution.
The location is beautiful and relaxing. The food is excellent and good value for top quality food and service. Loved my stay x
Location, ease of access and facilities. Evening menu and breakfast choice
The grounds were very nice.
The bed was very uncomfortable, you could feel every spring. Room was very noisy, from banging doors and people coming in late and banging on doors trying to find their room.
nice, clean and quiet place, a good base from which to explore Central Scotland, fantastic breakfasts
Lovely location stayed for two nights - first nights sleep poor as woken at 6am to what sounded like hoovering turned out to be woman across the hall using the hair dryer - very noisy! Breakfast ok. Later checkout time would have been nice- 10am a little early.
Very good location with Wallace Memorial within a short walking distance and free access to an excellent swimming pool. It may be a bit far out of town to walk but local bus service very good.
Nothing I can think of.
Mould in the bathroom
Quiet yet close to Stirling and excellent facilities
Cleanliness, staff, the rooms are modern and fairly comfortable
nothing. if something has to be found, the Hotel it's a little bit outside the city (you have to take the car to get there, 5 minutes.)
Excellent breakfast,staff very helpful
The hotel was set in the middle of the Stirling University and the grounds were very good, great lake and views of the mountains behind the hotel. Great view of mountain from our bedroom window.
No complaints or anything we didn't like.
Top class service and excellent staff
Excellent restaurant & food.. And for £49 was cracking value.
Wouldn't pay £109 which was pre discount rate.. Room needed that little extra finish..
Very attractive setting in the grounds of Stirling University. Room (at the back of the hotel) was quiet, of a good size and clean, although maybe a little functional. Breakfasts were very good. Front of house staff were brilliant. Without exception, they were polite, helpful (two in particular went beyond the call of duty) and always smiling!
Evening meal was a little underwhelming. Quite small portions, although the food was good. My dessert (mousse) was still partly frozen which I don't think it should have been.
Not the easiest place to find on campus, Sat Nav mis-directs
Quiet and relaxing atmosphere in a lovely setting. Comfortable room with all the facilities expected.
Friendly welcome, helpful staff, even during fire alarm. Plenty if breakfast choices. Lovely clean room and great views.
Seating in room a little uncomfortable. Would have preferred an upright chair rather than a stool. Wash basin a little high for me as a small person. Limited menu choices but good quality.
Clean, good breakfast, room is small but has everything, location is ok for someone like us drive a car , price is rather fair for summer season, could not get a same quality and price in Edinburg in august, by the way Stirling old center is very beautiful
there happened a faut fire alarm during breakfast one day, several poor guests came out wiyh their wet hair...
Great staff; very friendly and helpful. Lovely location outside the city with plenty of walks etc. Within walking distance of the William Wallace Monument or in the other direction, Bridge of Allen. Oh, and excellent breakfast.
Bedroom doors are seriously in need of soundproofing.
