Comfortable atmosphere in all parts of the Hotel. Relaxed breakfast, ideal for my wife and I.
During early evening became noisy, ie doors being slammed on first floor.
All the staff in this hotel are friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Having stayed at a lot of hotels over the years this is by far the most friendly I have stayed at.
The general ambience of the hotel. The manager was on the desk when I arrived and when I checked out. He was welcoming and friendly. The food was good value and well presented. Amazingly for a buffet, the eggs in the morning were fresh and not over cooked.
This is an observation more than a criticism. Because the hotel is at the back of the university campus it is not obvious where it is when you arrive. It is on the campus sign boards but in small lettering, it would be helpful if these signs were clearer and the hotel featured, possibly separately. I arrived at night, it would have made locating easier.
The location was fab, and the room was very comfortable, staff extremely helpful
Too cold only found out where tea coffee facilities were when over hearing another guest complain there was none room far too cold an fire alarm went off I know this cannot be helped but no explanation or apology given
Good breakfast, friendly staff
The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in, both my partner and myself had a very poor sleep, light hanging of wall, very small tv, overall disappointing room, also fire alarm went off at 7.30amish, which was apparently caused by deodorant?? Very disappointed!!!
The hotel in general
Bad service form staff
It was very very clean, and all staff were very friendly and helpful. We arrived around 9pm and were able to get a bar meal, which was quite good. The buttet breakfast was fine and my daughter was able to get a good breakfast before strolling across the carpark to sit her exam. Over all our stort stay was very positive and would recommend to anyone . Also the price was fantastic.
Room 116, we were awoke before 6am by a noise similiar to trolly wheels. Not sure if it was someone leaving early or the cleaning trollys which were parked outside our door. But was assured by receptionist that it could not have been cleaners.???
nice room, good breakfast, helpful staff
The hotel is a long way from town and cost a lot in taxi fares
Location easy to get to.
Bed was like a board
Always good here. The food is just excellent...particularly breakfast...best breakfast I have had at any UK business type hotel
Great breakfast buffet, with freshly cooked, hot food.
Molten Brown toiletries and good range of television programmes better than some big hotel chains and good quality breakfast accommodating all diets
Male and a female arguing and banging doors in the early hours of the morning for 3 hours in corridor and were not asked to leave.
Location, convenience and value for money.
Great value, good rooms fairly modern. Lovely surroundings on campus but near town centre, great helpful staff
Breakfast could be better but for price perfectly adequate.
The welcome from the manager also the staff were so friendly especially the bar staff mainly Craig and Emma x thankyou guys for making our stay extra special x
no bad experiences and im sure if there were any they would have been dealt with swiftly x
staff great food great location great room good
room next to boiler room noise all night noisy guests, all hours of the night didn't get a sleep
Location ideal for sightseeing further afield. Abundant parking. Efficient check-in although receptionist could have been more welcoming. Bar facilities pleasant and comfortable. Lovely meal on Half Board arrangement. Ideal breakfast. Would certainly re-visit.
Swimming pool availability limited and could have been more specifically recorded in listing.
The restaurant, the food, the location, the use of sports facilities, ample parking
The noisy room neighbours next door and across the corridor who were very drunk and argued / shouted / banged doors all throughout the night.
Standard of service was excellent especially bar staff who obviously understood what customer service is. Bar man and waitress Olivia were credit to hotel
We ....husband and wife. ..came for a valentines break and enjoyed staying at the hotel as it was good value for money. The food was lovely aswell
Close to university for visiting our niece.happy staff
No tea or coffee in room.no shampoo and conditioner except some screwed to the wall.very small double bed.
The disabled facilities in my room. The value prices for food on the menu The cleanliness of all parts of the hotel we experienced
The location and the fact that it is nice and quiet at night. Breakfast was also very good quality and good value.
