Central location Conversion of old historic building Friendly welcome Great service Value for money
Liked the company, the staff and the beds.
Shower, cost, no breakfast, no wifi
Very convenient, 5 minutes to town. Free parking. kitchen was big n well stocked with utensils. Friendly staff.
Shower had no door but only a very transparent shower curtain. We were with our adult daughter so privacy in shower not possible. Had to put towel over curtain railing. Shower temperature cannot be controlled. All the doors squeaked. Old church building so no lift. Renovation going on n they started very early in morning. check out time 9.30am. Breakfast not included.
No free wifi
The location is perfect, a beautiful old building, at the same time very modern equipment, the inside is clean and cozy. Got a room with a magnificent view - just super! Very functional and comfortable shower. Free parking is also happy. In general, I can recommend not only for austerity, but also sufficient for comfort and even pleasure.
Alas, as in almost all urban hostels - very steep stairs, on which it is necessary to lug a suitcase. With Wi-Fi, too, something did not work, even for money ...However, it really is the little things.
Spacious room Convenient location Helpful staff Clean and hygenic
Good views form rooms in 2nd flat, large rooms, two independent beds. Dinning room for quality breakfast. You can cook tour own meal if you like.
A lot of stair to arrive to flats. No lift available.
Great location & we were able to book a room for 3 people.
Somewhat overpriced. Had only hot water in sink faucet(no cold), and were advised Not to drink faucet water. The night we arrived there was a large group of 13-14 year olds who were very noisy; but that could happen anywhere.
a short walk from the castle, very friendly staff. The wifi was not working well and she was very honest about it so we did not have to waste money paying for it. Plenty of parking.
they could have done a better job at cleaning the toilet before check-in
I liked the kitchen facilities. Very clean and practical.
Bit noisy with a party of tourists all leaving at the same time.
Location was fab and great value.
The location and comfort of the place
No tea making facilities in bedroom
stone's throw from stirling's major tourist attractions. hostel staff & twin-sharing room were great.
the most i've ever paid for a hostel room to-date. location indicated on booking-dot-com map is incorrect, this hostel is not near the railway/town centre it's about 20mins walk (steep) uphill.
The Staff is very kind and helpfull! I had a good talk with John from the kitchen. The view in room 220 was the best view ever! Showers and toilet in the room instead of shared is very nice!
The price for wifi is insane compared to the free wifi in other hostels! The neighbours down the hall were with a big group and desided to have a party till 1am in the room next to us.. We were only to tired to get out of bed and complain...
superb location and an impressive building which was well looked after
Pillow slip contained a three human hairs from someone else
Staff were excellent. Site first class.
The friendly welcome. The use of the lounge and kitchen.
The room is not hygene, not clean, not a pleasant place to stay. No elevator, therefore, not comfortable to carry a big luggage. Price is not that cheap. Not value for money.
Friendly staff, beautiful building/location and fair price.
Lack of access after 2 am should be made more clear, both on website and hostel signage.
I like the location of this hostel. It's away from the busy roads of Stirling and it's on a hill so you have a lovely view over the valley plus you don't get woken up by cars or noisy people - you get woken up by birds in the trees. Feels like somewhere in the mountains while the town centre is 5 min walk down the hill.
I can't complain about anything.
The location was ideal for the Hogmanay Show
The corridors were too warm. Lack of parking spaces.
Great kitchen and common room.
Booked for a 4 beds dorm. But found out its actually a 6 beds dorm.
