Good views form rooms in 2nd flat, large rooms, two independent beds. Dinning room for quality breakfast. You can cook tour own meal if you like.

A lot of stair to arrive to flats. No lift available.

Great location & we were able to book a room for 3 people.

Somewhat overpriced. Had only hot water in sink faucet(no cold), and were advised Not to drink faucet water. The night we arrived there was a large group of 13-14 year olds who were very noisy; but that could happen anywhere.

a short walk from the castle, very friendly staff. The wifi was not working well and she was very honest about it so we did not have to waste money paying for it. Plenty of parking.

they could have done a better job at cleaning the toilet before check-in

I liked the kitchen facilities. Very clean and practical.

Bit noisy with a party of tourists all leaving at the same time.

stone's throw from stirling's major tourist attractions. hostel staff & twin-sharing room were great.

the most i've ever paid for a hostel room to-date. location indicated on booking-dot-com map is incorrect, this hostel is not near the railway/town centre it's about 20mins walk (steep) uphill.

The Staff is very kind and helpfull! I had a good talk with John from the kitchen. The view in room 220 was the best view ever! Showers and toilet in the room instead of shared is very nice!

The price for wifi is insane compared to the free wifi in other hostels! The neighbours down the hall were with a big group and desided to have a party till 1am in the room next to us.. We were only to tired to get out of bed and complain...

    Location

The room is not hygene, not clean, not a pleasant place to stay. No elevator, therefore, not comfortable to carry a big luggage. Price is not that cheap. Not value for money.

Friendly staff, beautiful building/location and fair price.

Lack of access after 2 am should be made more clear, both on website and hostel signage.

I like the location of this hostel. It's away from the busy roads of Stirling and it's on a hill so you have a lovely view over the valley plus you don't get woken up by cars or noisy people - you get woken up by birds in the trees. Feels like somewhere in the mountains while the town centre is 5 min walk down the hill.

    I can't complain about anything.

I liked the room, and the staff were absolutely amazing. The kitchen facilities were also brilliant as they are so spacious

The beds were quite narrow and uncomfortable

Great location, easy to get to everywhere and I loved the hot shower, not to mention that staff were always polite

The bed was a bit hard and I had a room next to the metal stairs so I could hear everyone coming up and down

The most miserable overnight experience I ever remember. 1)The hostel is situated on high ground but still when we came one hour prior check-in we weren't allowed to drop our suitcase (we came by foot) so we had to climb the way up with it again (the excuse was a repair going on, but I don't see how repair may affect such an easy task as dropping a bag at reception). 2)The smell in both kitchen and room was terrible. 3)The room had no tea facilities and nothing except for toaster was left in the kitchen so there was absolutely no way to have a cup of tea in the evening. 4)The blankets on the beds were tiny and they didn't look too clear. There were no nightlights in the room. 5)There was no free wifi access and the paid one was £1 per 20 minutes. 6)The bathroom was not appealing at all, towels were not provided. 7)There room had no windows, only an opening in the ceiling through which there was a steady wind making the bed under it very unhealthy to sleep on.

The staff were courteous and helpful. The kitchen was well equipped and clean. Bedroom was comfortable and clean. Plenty of information about the area. Building very nice and location cracking, situated in the Old Town with a great view!

No Wi-Fi signal obtainable in bedrooms. Told it was the thick walls of the dorms. Not all guests want to sit in the communal room and prefer the comfort and quiet of their own dorm.

    Location

Shower, would have expected that the shower-room had a door, not simply a curtain.
