Expensive, for what we got. Hitlon in Dublane is twice the hotel and only 7 miles away. |

car parking and location hotel has recently been upgraded with refurbished bedrooms? Well, than we got the one left which wasn't refurbished. Room was dark, quite shabby, with dust on ceiling, non-working electrical sockets and burned out bulb in a shower wasn't replaced even after we asked for it. |

Lovely room, in a great building. All facilities were there that we required and although we only stayed for one night I would have liked to have stayed for another as it was a relaxing and conveniently located hotel. Food was slow and the staff were as helpful as they thought they should be, no more. |

Very convenient location for visiting family in Stirling The height of the shower was too low, and there was little left in the breakfast buffet when we arrived half an hour before the breakfast period was finished. |

The staff was outstanding and very helpful Our stay was racked with problems - constant loss of power, no hot water. We had a premium room; however, the wine, water and newspaper were not delivered daily. I would expect a hotel touted as luxury would not have these issues. |

Excellent location close to historic city centre. Interesting architecture. Rooms were cold. Heating system seemed poor. Dining room also cold. Poor breakfast on both days. Hotel does not warrant a four star rating. Not good value for money. |

the spa, the breakfast, the location, the quality of the bed, the friendliness of the staff at reception and in the spa. the buffet supper on Friday night, but this could be due in part to the organisation of the KHS group. |

The convenience to the town The breakfast / reception staff not very welcoming / spa area could be better. However for the rate we paid £79.00 B & B it was fine. Would not want to pay more than that. Not an outstanding hotel by any means. |

Location for exploring Stirling was excellent, close to transport hubs and on the edge of the old town, so in very easy reach of Stirling Castle. I thought the hotel was fine, but not for the price. For such a high room rate, I thought attention to detail was lacking. For example, while the bedroom was very pleasant, the bathroom needed a refurb and things like dripping taps should have been sorted out. |

Bed was comfortable This was possibly the worst hotel expereince of my life so far. cold draughty building. Incompetent staff. Paif by work but asked to pay again on own card. Breakfast cold and unappealling. Tinned sliced peaches and pears. |

The room was very comfortable. The hotel itself was very pleasent and well appointed. I had one drink in the hotel. It was far to expensive so I then went elsewhere. The individual on reception when I arrived was at best polite and did not seem interstesedt in me as a guest. |

Staff very pleasant, friendly, courteous and helpful. Hotel within easy walking distance of Stirling Castle, other Stirling sights and railway station with excellent service to Glasgow and Edinburgh. Breakfast disappointing. Dinner very good but pricey. |

The college atmosphere of the original layout of the buildings. The very tasteful way it was transformed into a hotel and displayed former school photographs etc. The pool and leisure centre were of a high standard with efficient and pleasant staff. Not a great welcome at reception. Mistake made regarding my bill (account differed by £30 more than I should have paid). This was rectified but with no apology. |

it is hard to make anhy positive comment about my stay at the hotel- the reception staff were nice the shabby pretend 'spa'- up horrible staircase, through a gym store room, into another depressingly decorated rooms with some nail varnish and no natural light. the rooms were poor- tiny, airless and in poor repair. our food was one and half hours late, the bride was almost crying and the band were fed up waiting for everyone...thankfully everyone cheered up once the dancing started. and our waiter's nose dribbled and sniffed all evening- nice... |
