Good location, lovely clean room very well appointed. Good breakfast - a very pleasant stay. Spacious car park. Rooms at the back where we were were very quiet with lovely outlook onto countryside. Rooms at the front I imagine would be noisy with a very busy motorway in front.

Booked in a hurry and found it to be a brilliant choice. Staff extremely polite and helpful showing that nothing was too much trouble. This was our stop off point as we were heading for Cornwall and will be staying again when next in the area. The carvery and other food choices were excellent value for money. Highly recommend.

It looked tired and in need of an update. We feel the £89 for the night was excessive. Especially when we learnt another couple paid £20 less than us. Also this coming weekend was advertised at from £49

a very pleasent hotel and the food was good and a fare price. no net curtains in room [we were on the ground floor looking over the car park] so we had to pull the heavy curtains for any sort of privicy. they said they were replacements on order but that was no good at the time, and the staff we found were more interested in the people on courses staying in the hotel then other guests

I thought it reasonably priced with decent facilities,no complaints. If anything I would say the hotel could use some external maintenance, but of course that doesn't affect internal facilities ..........................

Staff were very pleasant all though service was slow at times. On the whole very nice people. Our room faced the busy dual carriageway and most defintley could be heard from the room, very noisy. Also room was unbearable hot but due to road noise windows were shut.

We liked the hotel the rooms we ok clean and tidy, the service in the main was good.and we shall come again.I I think as a man the toilets at the bar side of the hotel were disgusting for this class of a hotel, also the staff should be made to wash the hands after use. Also at the 2nd day the young lady at breakfast was left on her own to run the breakfast single handed which was not on.

The food was of a very good standard, and the bar an waiting staff in the vening particularily good. WHilst adequate for passing through, as we did on a previous occasion, we stayed 3 nights for a wedding at the hotel. The place is generally shabby and in need of refurn=bishment. The courtyard in the middle should be no smoking. The food, bar staff and waiting staffin in the evening were good, but the staff for breakfast were not so good - not offering tea or coffe when taking breakfast orders, and one waiter was particularily rud when we asked for a table for seven, including a disabled elderly person and child in pushchair. He was made a family of 3 sit on seperate tables.

Service and ambience was too good. Unlike other reviews i found the hotel to be very clean and well designed. A well located and designed hotel for a family. Good value for money even though i had to book it at the last moment.I had a great holiday and enjoyed my stay. Appreciate all the staff of the hotel for the service all through the stay.
