Good hotel, bit pricey for a very normal room. Staff were all v friendly and incredibly helpful for all requests
Unable to open window for ventilation as on ground floor facing carpark. No choice of bedding, too warm. TV remote not working. Bathroom not very clean. Table in dining area sticky. Generally shabby, needs an update.
Great location. The staff were very attentive. Room was very spacious, clean & comfortable. Food was great in the restaurant & breakfast was perfect. Great selection.
bed was really comfy and staff were lovely
rooms are a little tired and wifi was poor, I couldn't get a connection at all

needs redecorating and updating
Very helpful staff and a very good breakfast.
Hotel and bars starting to look a little tired
Staff friendly and helpful. Good breakfast served until 10.30! - Finally a hotel that caters for people that don't want to get up early on holiday or (as in my daughters case) would like to go for a pre-breakfast run.
Third visit and still no complaints.
great breakfast, very friendly staff, enjoyed a steak meal cooked to perfection, would definately return if was in the area again.
Close to where we were going.
Facing the road, room so hot we had to have windows open, traffic noise.
attention to detail - staff went out of their way to make us feel special and make the room perfect for our wedding night. Breakfast was included and very tasty indeed with exceptional coffee!
The bed was comfortable and the room was clean but getting very shabby. The under manager was helpful and put a light bulb in our bathroom and also helped me with the internet. The breakfast was good with several choices.
The hotel needs a thorough overhaul, I have stayed there many times over the years and it looks worse every year. The staff in the restaurant were not very efficient, we waited 30 mins for our meal and they didn't ask us if we wanted a dessert or coffee after our meal infact no one came back to serve us
Very helpful staff, Good price deal with excellent menu. Nice courtyard for pre-dinner drinks
Traffic noise and wedding guest late night noise. No lift to top floor
Although the hotel is a little remote the grounds were lovely and quite a spectacular setting for the thunder storms we had at the time! Also, the breakfast was good.
I didn't have any body wash or shampoo in my bathroom! I am not sure if these items were just forgotten by the cleaner or there are none provided at all but either way I was a little surprised by this. And the biscuit packet in my room was also empty but still left in the teacup. Myself and my colleague had dinner one evening and there was a lengthy wait on receiving our food - approximately an hour.
Because it was very warm we slept with the windows open consequently there was a lot of noise from the traffic on the road . Maybe a room at the back of the hotel would be more suitable.
Well-situated on a with plenty of space, although just off a major road route. Verwood Suite was roomy & the bedding comfortable, with a nice (if creaky) four-poster. Breakfast freshly cooked with good coffee. The ear-drum pounding local rock group (for a wedding party) on Saturday night would have been more annoying, but at least the gig ended at reasonable time - that much was well-managed.
General appearance is run down & much in need of refurbishment The room had a number of problems: a broken radiator valve meant the towel rail in the bathroom was in full blast (with temperatures in the high twenties to thirties outside!) & the TV remote only would not adjust the volume or switch the set on (you could, occasionally change channels with it). Otherwise the room was somewhat clean (the carpet could have done with vacuuming). Fortunately, we were running a workshop & so up & about between 07.00 & first service for breakfast at 08.00 when "burnt toast" caused the fire alarm to go off for long enough to wake everyone. A note of apology under the door would not have been sufficient had we been awake. The lunch & dinner menus are very limited, lacking imagination (or much vegetarian choice) & my wife who had dinner there (I was running evening sessions for the workshop) was very disappointed by the poor quality of the food she had there. In all, this is a hotel that needs a refit - & better management!
the staff, all of them . Some of the nicest ever . Your greatest asset.
Definitely needs an up date, which is I understand on the list. I would suggest this hotel gets moved well up the list, along with sorting out the kitchen to avoid the long wait for food.
Great big room friendly staff deco a little tried but no complaints!
Bedroom deco could do with freshening up and the food was ok but nothing special!
The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Really went out of her way to help us. Her husband who ran the bar was also very friendly. Breakfast was superb. Would highly recommend
The Food- Quality & Choice The Room-Fabulous Mattress !! The Public Areas- Relaxed/comfy The Staff - All Smiles/Friendly The Ambience-Homely Everything not Mentioned !
Checking Out !!
Good location. Friendly staff.
Very busy. 1 hour wait for evening meal. Floor in bedroom was damp. The toilet roll holder encroaches into where you sit and is uncomfortable in room 112. This place needs a bit of TLC and bringing back up to standard.
excellent service by all staff
Great child friendly staff, good food, good restaurant service, superbly comfortable courtyard garden, plus a huge outside space. Made our 3 year old very welcome & it ticked all the boxes for us
genuinely couldn't even say something for the sake of it lol
