The breakfast choices were excellent.
It is a very quiet hotel , no disturbances from other guests , perfect , relaxing time , staff extremely pleasant , thank you so much.
Very helpful and friendly staff
Be great if they offered a breakfast option before 8am at weekends, even a take away bag of croissants and a coffee!!
The menu was so extensive and the food was freshly cooked and tasted marvellous. Breakfast service lived up to expectations from the night before. The facilities and staff were superb.
All the staff were always smiling and could not do enough for you. Fantastic example of excellent customer service.
the rooms were a bit tired and could do with freshening up.
Rooms very warm and clean could of done with a bit of decorating as walls quite grubby
Staff in restaurant were very slow but food was good for what we paid
The breakfast was swimming in Greece
A problem with the TV, but the staff were so helpful, moved me to another room immediately. Think the staff at this hotel are some of the most friendly au have encountered staying in a hotel
I liked everything and the breakfast was lovely
I could not get onto the Internet
Very poor breakfast and service, breakfast bar was practically empty had to ask for cereals, fresh fruit, fresh orange juice & milk. No bowls. Cooked breakfast was not hot.
We have stayed at this Hotel over thirty times in the last two years and have tried several others in the New Forest. We always seem to return here because of the friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The Manageress is very efficient and keen to ensure that all guests leave happy. This hotel is genuinely dog friendly and ideally situated with a large paddock area at the rear and many forest walks close by.It is nice to enjoy a drink in the bar with the locals who are also very friendly and helpful.
We were made welcome by friendly staff on arrival. Comfortable Room and warm. Nice surroundings. Excellent food.
Decrepit some dangerous matters. Hotel urgently needs re-vamping. Loose stairs. Dirty crockery. Staff poorly managed, but this due poor company leadership. Door handles missing. Lights u/s. No bathroom lock. Dogs barking some of night. Walls rather thin. Use of toilet & TV next door heard! This hotel correctly governed & re-vamped would make a fortune for its owners. Pity for the staff.
Everything it was a nice break
Tom , he should never be in this industry even a smile would of been something !!! Food sometimes cold and abit dry looking. Flat Presseco had to ask for a replacement never seen it poured into metal measuring cup nor wonder it was flat !!!
Our room was a bit gothic, but very spacious and comfortable.
The dining room was chilly in the evening.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was good along with the overall ambiance of the restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble. Ample parking. We would definately use this hotel again.
The only issue we had was the free wifi, which was the Cloud. It would be better if the hotel had their own wifi as we always have problems with the Cloud.
I liked all the extras in the room the bed was comfy and everything was clean. the staff worked really hard to try to please everybody at the wedding party on FRIDAY 2ND JAN
I did not like the loose toilet seat and the shower was difficult to-get right
STAFF worked very hard and remained cheerful and helpful Food very good and great value
No hot water in shower. Not enough staff
Although clearly shorthanded, the few staff that were on duty were extremely helpful and did their best to make our stay enjoyable. Rooms on the rear of the hotel have delightful rural view. On the whole good value for money.
The Christchurch 'Suite' would be better described as a Family Room. Large; but by no means luxurious! The rooms on the front of the hotel have insufficient sound proofing to deaden the noise of traffic on the very busy main road outside.
The room was a good size and very comfortable. I particularly liked the location of my room which had French doors to the parkland, and had a great view. The a la carte breakfast was superb.
Loud music on the radio in the dining room. My preference is for silence in public areas.
Helpful and friendly staff Location and car parking Rural setting, quiet yet 15 minutes into Southampton centre Good food Free wifi that works! Good size bedroom and excellent bathroom Money well spent staying here
No down side as far as I am concerned, it fitted us very well.
The hotel room was very comfortable and had plenty of room for my family. The breakfast was very tasty and we had plenty of choice.
The bar menu for drinks was quite pricey.
nice room , good view from window,
Comfortable room, good breakfast.
The relaxed atmosphere, plenty of choice of seating areas, comfortable and friendly, easily accessible. Every need catered for.
We picked a busy weekend for outside parties but the rooms were very quiet, reception was unmanned sometimes for a while, but understandable with the amount of people who had to be dealt with.
