The room was good. Furniture was not new but ok. It's an older building that has its charme. The internet was good. The breakfast and dinner were good also. I would go there again. The hotel is in the country side (no surprise :-) At the time I visited the hotel there were not many guests. So it was a quiet place, not within walking distance of a village (to go to a pub I mean).

friendly, welcoming and helpful staff, comfortable room. quiet had a good night's sleep. menu for dinner catered, just, for vegetarians. meat eaters enjoyed their food. in the bar, a little more knowledge and sophistication in serving our bottle of Cava - no napkin provided, so lots of wet drips and we had to pour it ourselves. staff a little uncertain about vintage of wine available. not asking for pretentiousness - just a little more awareness /knowledge.

The Jacuzzi bath was fine...... my husband says the beer was good. The Wedding was being held in a conservatory that leaked so much that the Mother of the Bridegroom had to perch herself on the edge of the table...the food was over cooked and very average we were given one tiny jug of gravy for 8 people..... when we asked for another it took 45 minutes to arrive, the Strawberry Gateaux that the Bride chose especially turned out to be Black Forest, however "Mum Had Still Gone to Iceland" to collect that so the quality would have been the same anyway. The bedroom was damp and had mould in the bathroom which was making the paper peel off....there was no offer of help with our suitcases....etc etc etc

We were staying overnight for a wedding, and really liked the venue. It had some lovely character features that were perfect for a wedding. The staff were remarkably friendly, particularly the Reception staff, who couldn't do enough to help. We were aware that the hotel was 3 star, and our room was comfortable with some lovely period features, such as the exposed brickwork on the wall. All in all, a really good stay, which we enjoyed very much.

.The staff were friendly and helpful. All the staff we encountered were lovely - I really could not praise them enough. We chose this hotel based on its location and it did not disappoint us. The bathroom was slightly dated but I would definitely stay there again
