St Michael's Hotel & Spa

Very relaxing and nicely presented with a good choice of activities.

It was a little disappointing to learn at 6pm that there were no vacancies for evening meal in the hotel restaurant as it was fully booked. We were not made aware that the general public come into the restaurant at night and it is not purely for hotel guests. It would have been useful to have been told that the restaurant gets busy at night when we checked in and I feel the hotel could have given us the opportunity to book for dinner at check in if this was the case.

Good food, Comfortable and value for money

Peaceful environment. Wonderful views. Beautiful gardens. Nice breakfast.

No soundproof- could hear everything from room next door. Rooms rather small.

Pool/Spa area very nice although the Steam Room could have done with an aromatic additive.The staff were the best set of Hotel employee's we have come across for a long time, exellent. Breakfast/Dinner meals were very tasty.

The first Room allocated must have been the smallest in the Hotel & right outside was a vent from the Boiler Room which made a noise until the Hotel heating went off and started up again early in the morning. However after complaining the following morning we were immediately given an upgrade room. Also, a wedding party arrived on the Saturday morning and a good few of the guests started drinking as soon as they arrived and continued for the next 12 - 14 hours so as can be imagined the noise levels increased in relation to the alcohol consumed!

Better signposting to function rooms-reception small but beautifully decorated. Poor value for money when I know this hotel has great weekend offers out of season

The spa was lovely and the treatment I had marvellous. Clean and new looking which was a plus.

Quite a way from the centre of town. Our room was tiny and you could hear everything from the people next door.

The restaurant was excellent .Staff were first class and the food delicious.Best thing about the Hotel.

I found the reception staff not good enough. Rather dull and not welcoming, apart from a delightful person from usa.- She had obviously been well trained unlike the staff in the UK.Checking out was awful- Spa reception again not good enough- they weren't bothered if we were there or not. Facilities were rather squashed together.Not relaxing at all.None of the treatments were available even for 2days ahead-could have told us on arrival.

Inexplicable delays in the dining room, food was excellent, but half hour too long to wait for coffee! Room on the small side.
