This Hotel is more like a hostel for homeless people, facilities are in need of a major revamp and modernisation, it is probably the shabbiest "hotel" my wife & I have ever stayed in, it is in an extremely poor condition, on a busy main road, and traffic noise throughout the night, thankfully we only used it as a stop over, due to a late flight and along drive home. The online description of this hotel is completely misleading.

The room was minute but very clean and the breakfast was excellent.I Had thought that I'd booked an ensuite. The room was not ensuite but the error was probably mine. I did not think the location was very convenient. It was at least a 20 minute walk.It was not well served by public transport.

Absolutely nothing! The carpets are threadbare, the room sparce, no storage. Bed was same quality as a hospital bed, no hairdryer, all just shocking! We checked in and immediately went out! We came back only to sleep, the room was on the main road, so traffic all night. The bathroom had damp patches and a lingering smell as a consequence. We were asked at 6.45am to move our car as the design of the carpark is such, that someone is blocked in, even though the receptionist said it wasnt a bother, at 6.45am it clealry was to that motorist! We went to "buffet breakfast" that was absolutly less than average. Sadly some of the guests also had an impact on this, as they were in the nightwear, and sadly for them unemployed. We didnt even have a drink as we felt uncomfortable and left. This hotel is perfect for guys such as engineers etc working away from home who just want a bed for the night, and get on the road next day! Had I arrived on my own, I would have not stayed. The next night we managed to get into the premier travel in for a mere £29.00, but what a massive difference! Buffet breakfast was a pleasure. The stockwood hotel is not a place Im sorry I would ever recommend !

There was a nice receptionist who was friendly and actively tried to support their guests. There where some things that I did not like in the hotel. Renovation works where going on in the hotel. Although they tried not to disturb visiotrs, it would have been good to know in advance. In the morning the room I slept in was very humid. I cant do notthing about it but in the morning I felt like a burden to the hotel... They charged 5£ extra for the internet and mentioned that it is for 24 hours. In reality the internet was swiched off at the time of checkout (12.00), but this rule was nowhere to be seen publicly nor mentioned before. If I would have known, it would not have been an issue as I was just leaving but I had a few things unfinalised which made it an inconvenient surprise for me. In addition the internet was annoyingly slow and unstable. As a parallel - today I am staying in same rate hotel and I am very satisfied.

Relatively close to Luton Airport Rooms are very basic and dingy. Check-in finishes at 11pm. Breakfast starts from 7am, which is not practical if you catch an early flight.

Location to Luton was good I booked this hotel for my parents to visit, they were disgusted! I was offered an upgrade the day before because the hotel had booked them in a room without a bathroom, but when they got to the hotel they were charged extra money for a different room. The room was really small and stuffy, and they would never stay there again

The location was good for the meeting I needed to get to with good road links. The man at reception was friendly although never did see him again even though was there for 2 nights. The sheets were clean - that's the only positive points I can find Pretty much everything! The room was filthy and dusty. The mould in the bedroom and bathroom smelled terrible. The towels were thin and frayed. The contintental breakfast was very scarce and the pizza restaurant even scarcer as there wasn't one. The bar was the reception desk with some bottles on a shelf. I couldn't sleep with the smell of the room and noticing the level of dust. The free car parking is ok if you have a small car and get there early as very limited. I would only recommend this to people who are looking for a budget B&B

Website is extremely deceiving. Suggested the hotel was in country park and therefore in a quiet location. The hotel wa actually on a very busy road near the county park in a flight path for Luton airport. Suggested there was a pizza restaurant. It was infact a takeway that got delivered to the hotel and the only reason I found that out was because the staff had to come and tell me that the takeaway place was closed down and hadn't informed the hotel. Ended up eating rubbish from the garage across the road. Room was cold and I was unable to switch my radiator on as it was just a normal house radiator without a control - had to sleep with two quilts on me.

Staff were exceptional.very convenient to Luton Airport I thought I had booked a hotel room that had private bathroom facilities. Apon arrival at check in I was asked if I wished to upgrade to a room that had en suite bathroom facilities. Having paid a £10 up grade and actually seeing the room, I would have been more comfortable in a travel lodge for approximately the same price. The bathroom had no ventilation. No fan and no window that I could open. The minute I entered the room I was meet by a very strong damp odour. The walls in the bathroom and bedroom had black mould on them. It was obviously a problem as you could see that the damp black patches has been painted over several times.I believe it is against regulations to not have adiquate ventilation in a bathroom of a standard hotel room

The staff is a bunch of crooks. They do not deliver on their promises. The worst part is that they cut off the heater at night to save money while it's freezing. And when I complained about the cold that woke me up at 3am, they threatened to kick me out in the middle of the night with no refund. The police has to come in to settle our argument. don't go there during winter time, unless you wanna get sick in the morning!

The hotel is relative close to the city center. The hotel is terrible. The room was small, narrow, wretched and smelled of mold. Shared bath and toilet with another four rooms. The breakfast was poor.

Room was clean. The room was freezing, there was no hot water n the sink or shower, no soap of any kind in the bathroom. I booked with a credit card which I had not brought with me as usually the total is just taken on departure but had o pay in cash and as I was fling home the next day I couldn't really afford to pay this and the reception staff was not very friendly or helpful about this!! There was no remote control for my tv. My room had a very strong smell of paint but I think the hotel was being done up so that's probably why.

The night porter was very good and accomodating to requests of extra blankets The hotel was very cold. Tthe bathroom had no blind or curtain and overlooked the carpark and dining area (with lights on, people would be able to see what you were doing) and no hand soap on the sink, holes in the bed sheets, very cold room, although a heater in the room it did not emit a sufficient amount of heat even when turned up and the room was even colder in the morning., Beds not overly comfortable (my matteress sank in the middle). Breakfast although continental, did not look fresh or inviting, out of 4 guests in the dining area, I noticed only 1 had toast and nothing else, all others just had orange juice.
