Close to where I needed to work. Sufficient parking. Value-for-Money restaurant (Harvester) next door. WIFI in the Lobby. I had an issue with the cleanliness of the room. Whilst the pillows had the ribbon around and label of Firm / Soft to show that it had received attention, I found that:- - there were fresh marks (snot like) on at least one of the pillow cases - there were small, dark hairs in the bed at body level - there was a used shampoo mini-bottle in the shower. It was 11:30 pm when I checked in and I'm not one for complaining, so I shook off the bedclothes, picked the cleaner looking pillows, sprayed the bed with aftershave and got on with it. I reported it to the staff the next morning. The room was cleaned and fine from then on. But it does leave a lasting first impression !!!

Spoilt by constant traffic noise throughout the night. Arrived home and fell asleep for 2 hours. This was due to lack of sleep at the hotel. Triple glazing does not help this problem with traffic noise. Also found a double bed uncomfortable after being used to sleeping in a king size bed. TV needs updating. Staff friendly, room clean and breakfast was fine for the money but Please see above.

I play golf and played in a tournament @ Trentham GC. Found the hotel to be of a very good standard and local to the course. It also was close to a pub where we were able to eat close by. Would have liked to have been given warning that Stoke City were playing as may have had a decision on whether we stopped at this particular Holiday Inn due to traffic and noise. Some thing you might want to consider telling guests before or when booking.

Nothing, me and my boyfriend were treated terribly. We were stuck in a disabled room where the shower was cold! We asked to move rooms but was told there was no rooms available. We were told to shower in another room! Why they could not move us to that room I do not know. We complained in the morning and was then told that they had loads of rooms available!!! Not happy as you can imagine. Moved rooms so the most noisy room there did not sleep at all as could hear 4 different noises going off at the same time. I would not recommend this hotel unless you want to be treated the way me and my boyfriend were.

Very nice clean hotel including a plentiful buffet breakfast. We used the hotel as a family of eight in three rooms which were a good size and maintained very well. The purpose of our time away was to visit Alton Towers and we found the hotel to be in a very convenient location on the a50.

Breakfast was a bit chaotic. Had to queue for a table as the seating area is very small for the size of the hotel. Then you could hardly move in the area where the food and drinks were laid out. It was quite stressful. Only hot items were sausage, beans and scrambled egg. Where's the bacon ??

The rooms were fine and suited our purpose and the staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was a little busy and the area from which it was obtained was quite small making it difficult to select your food. We were also disappointed to find that evening meal food choice was just pizza. There was a Harvesters across the road from the Holiday Inn which opened later in the evening.
