Gym was good Reception staff very helpful
Clean and warm
1) when we booked in we weren't told that there was a wedding reception being held there that night. We were booked into rooms directly over. It went on till 2.a.m. I am awaiting a further response from the hotel about my complaint. 2) At breakfast we got up to get some more drinks, only to find when we returned that our table had been completelycleared away.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff Great fitness classes! Good breakfast
price of food!
The night staff were very friendly and helpful
My colleague had two drinks taken away .... Hadn't finished either if them and told them twice not to take the drink but both times they did as soon as we were not looking .... Whiskey is not an inexpensive drink so this was a little frustrating .
Wifi service (signal)was bit poor.
It was the best I've stayed in thank you
Very good, room on the front nice view .we didn't eat there .just had a drink. Clean and nice large room. We would have used pool etc but we did not have time. Would stay again.
When we arrived we weren't booked in so waited around after a long drive. But was sorted. Booking. Com had not let them know. Also bar was very expensive.also there is a glass table in reception my self and husband banged our leg on it . have two big bruises
The food was awful that's our only moan
The spacious feeling inside and out of hotel. Very comfortable room and bed. Good parking.
Having to walk through the reception area of the swimming pool/leisure centre to move between the swimming pool and the changing rooms. Cost of drinks in the bar. Insufficient milk and coffee in the room.
The hotel was comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Lack of steak knives at dinner and wine bucket.
Modern, clean, friendly staff,a bit of a trek from alton towers.
Asked the male receptionist for some towels and bottled water, said he would sort it and never did had to ask again which was quite annoying.finally got them.
Room very clean, quiet, girls from reception very helpful and friendly
Service all around was excellent. Especially the lady at reception. 10 out of 10
Clean and comfortable room, however the cleaner knocked at the door on the first morning at 7.45am to ask if we 'needed anything in the room' to which we said no. However, this was taken as we didn't want the room serviced, so it wasn't.
Room not serviced. Noisy children running about. Extremely noisy breakfast room ( for which the waitress did apologise). No internet available, even though we were given a code, which didn't work.
Location. Friendly staff. Lots of parking.
Awful stark room. One TV very hard to work. Metal bunk beds. Bathroon could have been cleaner.
Very poor range of drinks in bar, bar and restaurant staff poorly trained in customer service and product knowledge . The barman had no idea what Cognac is !
The hotel is in a prime location for Hanley it is a better quality hotel than some of the other hotels in stoke also the breakfast at the moat house is first class with a good selection of food and drink also they will cook you kippers for your breakfast. The hotel is well appointed the staff are friendly the health club is well equipped the swimming pool is a bit small though also you do at least get a car park space.at this hotel.
They had two weddings that weekend we stayed ! one of the children of the wedding party set the hotel fire alarm off on the Sunday morning while we were having breakfast apparently this child had done this before at another wedding held at this hotel? Some of the staff on the reception need to brush up on there people skills they are surly at times and leave you Standing there for twenty minutes before dealing with you at check in.
Very friendly helpful staff, lounge and bar area
Bathroom a bit dated
I thought this hotel was in a good location and was clean and comfortable but I felt it was a little over-priced in terms of both the room rate and the cost of food in the restaurant when comparing this hotel to the many others I have stayed in on business all over the UK over the years. Staff were very friendly and helpful though.
I had difficulty connecting to WiFi with my iPhone but this was rectified quite quickly by the helpful reception staff. Also I was hungry at about 5pm and wanted some crisps from the bar to keep me going until dinner but no crisps or snacks are available - I could only order a light bite from the menu but these were quite substantial so close to dinner. Had to settle for a pack of custard creams which I was charged 50p for but in most other hotels these would have been included on the tea tray in the room free of charge but not here!
Staff very friendly
Could hear disco loudly from room Food in restaurant very hot Burnt hand on plate and knife
Hotel facilities, room, willingness of staff to provide information (see however "what did'nt you like).
Knowledge of staff about environment and some facilities (i.e. nobody seems to know how express check-out can be used) not sufficient. A task for the management!
Room was a decent size and bed was reasonably comfortable. Breakfast buffet had a nice selection. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Bedroom was quite noisy - some sort of mechanical noise outside I couldn't identify and a lot of noise from the road. Maybe better double/triple glazing would help. Staff appeared to have been trained to answer the telephone before dealing with customers - on several occasions at both breakfast and dinner I (and other guests) had to wait to be seated while the desk person handled phone calls.
V good service nothing too much trouble.
We spent the evening at the moat house to watch jonny wilkes and what a fab night we had, lets hope we can do the same again next year.
Breakfast staff dressed inappropriately, far too casual. Jeans and collarless t shirt doesn't give a very good impression. Executive floor WiFi connection was non-existent.
