Good location near Festival Park with shops and restaurants nearby
Staff at check in very friendly and helpful. Didn't use bar but looked to be a a clean and pleasant area. Room very comfortable. Free parking on site.
Treatment by Reception staff and on Check-out. Helpful reception at breakfast. comfort of the bed, cleanliness of the room and everything worked.
Lovely staff, nothing was too much trouble.
Expensive breakfast. For the price of the room breakfast should be inclusive.
Comfortable room, helpful staff, nice breakfast, free wifi.
I thought the room was in need of an update.
The hotel was clean and had a good atmosphere and the food was good when we eventually got served.
We waited a while to get served in the bar and restaurant and the shower didn't work properly my husband went for a shower he was covered in soap and the water was spitting out of the shower. We did tell the lady at reception when we checked out but she didn't seem very interested.
everything. Was great
nothing had lovely time
Gym was good Reception staff very helpful
Clean and warm
1) when we booked in we weren't told that there was a wedding reception being held there that night. We were booked into rooms directly over. It went on till 2.a.m. I am awaiting a further response from the hotel about my complaint. 2) At breakfast we got up to get some more drinks, only to find when we returned that our table had been completelycleared away.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff Great fitness classes! Good breakfast
price of food!
The night staff were very friendly and helpful
My colleague had two drinks taken away .... Hadn't finished either if them and told them twice not to take the drink but both times they did as soon as we were not looking .... Whiskey is not an inexpensive drink so this was a little frustrating .
Wifi service (signal)was bit poor.
It was the best I've stayed in thank you
Very good, room on the front nice view .we didn't eat there .just had a drink. Clean and nice large room. We would have used pool etc but we did not have time. Would stay again.
When we arrived we weren't booked in so waited around after a long drive. But was sorted. Booking. Com had not let them know. Also bar was very expensive.also there is a glass table in reception my self and husband banged our leg on it . have two big bruises
The food was awful that's our only moan
The spacious feeling inside and out of hotel. Very comfortable room and bed. Good parking.
Having to walk through the reception area of the swimming pool/leisure centre to move between the swimming pool and the changing rooms. Cost of drinks in the bar. Insufficient milk and coffee in the room.
The hotel was comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Lack of steak knives at dinner and wine bucket.
Modern, clean, friendly staff,a bit of a trek from alton towers.
Asked the male receptionist for some towels and bottled water, said he would sort it and never did had to ask again which was quite annoying.finally got them.
Room very clean, quiet, girls from reception very helpful and friendly
Service all around was excellent. Especially the lady at reception. 10 out of 10
Clean and comfortable room, however the cleaner knocked at the door on the first morning at 7.45am to ask if we 'needed anything in the room' to which we said no. However, this was taken as we didn't want the room serviced, so it wasn't.
Room not serviced. Noisy children running about. Extremely noisy breakfast room ( for which the waitress did apologise). No internet available, even though we were given a code, which didn't work.
Location. Friendly staff. Lots of parking.
Awful stark room. One TV very hard to work. Metal bunk beds. Bathroon could have been cleaner.
Very poor range of drinks in bar, bar and restaurant staff poorly trained in customer service and product knowledge . The barman had no idea what Cognac is !
The hotel is in a prime location for Hanley it is a better quality hotel than some of the other hotels in stoke also the breakfast at the moat house is first class with a good selection of food and drink also they will cook you kippers for your breakfast. The hotel is well appointed the staff are friendly the health club is well equipped the swimming pool is a bit small though also you do at least get a car park space.at this hotel.
They had two weddings that weekend we stayed ! one of the children of the wedding party set the hotel fire alarm off on the Sunday morning while we were having breakfast apparently this child had done this before at another wedding held at this hotel? Some of the staff on the reception need to brush up on there people skills they are surly at times and leave you Standing there for twenty minutes before dealing with you at check in.
