The oat house is in an ideal location for me.

I have stayed here many times before and it is usually excellent. However, this time the pool was not clean and the standard of the breakfast was not great. It may have been a bad weekend as it is usually very good. I may have to find another option next year.

One staff member was polite and efficient, the rest were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

As ever, hotel prices for food and drink were disappointingly severe.

Close to a main road, within walking distance from shops and places to eat

Fixed shower head did not work, the alternative shower hose attached to the bath tap was too short to allow me to stand and shower and there was not fixing on the bath wall for the tap shower hose to be held, wallpaper was peeling off, as was some of the silicone in the bathroom.

Everything was really good value and the staff were excellent ! Even though she called me "duck"

the amount of chlorine in the pool. Caused me a very bad cough especially next to the jacuzzi. Very dirty around the lockers and the area towards the pool.

Everything! The staff are ace, the food is wonderful. Our room was gorgeous and very spacious. Even better, the staff gave us the same room as last year, now that is service. Its close to shops and restaurants if you don't want to eat in the hotel. Breakfasts are amazing and the dinner at night for me was wow! Love the pool and the facilities beside it. Just love everything!

Only thing I didn't like which was no fault of the hotel is people speaking on their mobile phones at mealtimes in the diningroom. I do not want to hear someone elses conversation while I'm trying to enjoy my food. If folk must have their phone at mealtimes, have it on silent and if a call comes in, go outside. I think the hotel could put a sign up asking for this to happen. Its just bad manners, and surely there is no call that urgent it can't wait until after dinner or breakfast.

Nice modern hotel, good facilities, stayed before - noce room, good shower - bed on this occasion was far too springy for my liking. Would recommend.
