Friendly welcome. Comfortable if small room. Good location adjacent too Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre.Good, filling full English breakfast.
No mobile phone reception in the area., making communication difficult.. A lighter breakfast option would have been welcome.
Really welcoming, and shown to a lovely bright and spotlessly clean room. Excellent food. Would stay there again.
friendly staff, fantastic food, good night sleep
no network reception
Very friendly, excellent service, good location.
That we only stayed one night, but we will be returning for a longer stay soon.
The staff is very welcoming and kind. The building is a typical country inn, maybe the furnishings are a bit dated and maybe worn out, but still the place is welcoming and cosy. The room was very large and sufficiently clean. Breakfast was excellent and freshly cooked. Fair price.
The curtains in the room were not adequate to stop the streetlights, which are very bright, and a low buzzing sound was going on all night long in the room, coming from downstairs. The breakfast hours could be improved(8:30 is a bit too late for tourists with a full schedule…).
food and location
after dinner the pub closes
Very prompt and friendly greeting from the landlord. Very nice room with a proper bath. All fresh and clean and obviously newly decorated. New carpet in room and on landing. Had thought a pub might be noisy but it was lovely and peaceful.
I liked the food(quality and portion size) The room was spacious and clean. Bed was really comfortable, slept really well. Friendly staff
Berakfast could have been included in the price!
Accommodation and food excellent
Bedroom was a little cold due to weather without heating on.
Very warm welcome, shown to our room. Good food and very attentive staff. Room clean and comfortable.
The surroundings were beautiful
The smells from the kitchen were bad, the room was dirty with dog hairs present. there was no heating option and the night was cold and damp, the TV was undersized and the room for what it was, was over priced .
Not a lot.
No choice for dining in the place apart from the inn in fact no choice for anything.
Owner waited until very late for us to arrive. Excellent breakfast.
Nothing - all ok.
Great friendly clean hotel brilliant food beds comfortable and clean
No phone signal not enough taxis.but we were helped by red the owner to get a taxi
The staff were very friendly and helpful, I had the feeling that nothing was too much trouble. I have certainly stayed in what would be deemed as nicer hotels, but the cost would be much more. For the purpose of a meal, and a bed to sleep in this was perfect, and excellent value for money.
I only stayed one night, but saw nothing I did not like.
manager was particularly friendly and helpful.
All of it. Helpful friendly hosts do all they can to make your stay enjoyable
Nothing to dislike
Excellent situation, excellent food, especially the meals in the evening, lovely staff.
Could have done with a bit more choice at breakfast - e.g. some fruit and yogurt, not just orange juice.
Our deluxe double room was nicely decorated and comfortable as well as very clean, with armchairs, dual aspect windows, a large en-suite bathroom with decent shower. Staff were friendly and attentive without being annoying. The food in the restaurant was really nice - you could tell it was actually homemade. It was tasty and portion sizes were perfect for us. The garden by the stream outside was quiet and pretty and they had made an effort to create a covered area for smokers, too. The whole place was very clean - when we came downstairs in the morning all the public areas smelled really clean and nice. We had a great night's sleep as well - no noise in corridors or from downstairs. The beer was well kept. All in all a great little place I wouldn't hesitate to stay again and highly recommend.
The music played in the restaurant was a bit uninspiring and the same both nights.
Location and cleanliness of room. Cost.
Part of the outer bedding was very visibly soiled.
Clean towels every day
Breakfast was extra, very little choice and a bit boring
Situated right next to the Discovery Centre, room 4 was superb, staff very friendly, breakfast excellent, would definately recommend this one.
There was nothing i didn't like exept they ran out of Doombar beer. Perhaps that was my fault.
The room was very comfy and stylish. Plenty of space and comfy bed. Food in the pub was all home cooked and very tasty. Owner very helpful and as friendly as the staff. Free parking, wi-fi and a garage to store our bikes was very helpful.
Noisy traffic as near a main road. Large bathroom with only one small shelf so used a chair to put bags on and no hooks to hang the large towels only a small towel rail.
Breakfast - full English with local produce Friendly, helpful staff Excellent price
