I am a very frequent visitor to Coventry and the Quality Hotel is one of six in which I regularly stay. It depends on which hotel is doing the best deal for the day(s) I need to stay. It is a good, mid range 3 star hotel. It provides all the modest needs someone staying at a three star hotel can expect: fairly good en-suite room, decent tv, a bar and good breakfasts. It's not the Savoy, but neither is it disappointing. For a short stay it's a perfectly good choice. There is nothing to criticise the Quality Hotel for - it does its job as a mid range 3 star hotel and nothing more.

The interior was well decorated, the bed was comfortable and the room was nice and warm The full english breakfast was ok, but I ate it at 7.30 am and it had obviously been cooked earlier than that and kept warm...could be better.

I did not like the fact that on the morning of my stay the hotel telephoned me to inform me that they were overbooked and I was being moved to another hotel. The second hotel was in a word shabby. It also did not have the same facilities such as Sky Sports. The choice of evening meal was very limited and slow. It is called the Allesbury and is very poor. If the hotel that I had booked directed me to an hotel that was favourably comparable I would have no problem. It did not. It thought only of its own needs and not the customers.

The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. The hotel is beautiful and I loved the warm, homely feel of it. It would have been convenient with me having a baby with me for there to have been a small fridge in the room.

I loved the hotel! Its so spacious and clean and cosy! The staff is amazing, they go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The room was huge, toilet was extra clean and sparkly. Had complimentary tea and coffee in the room. It was a very pleasant stay for us. I would highly recommend this place. Slightly far from the city center (10 mins cab ride). Not really a problem if you don't have a problem with that, but for us it was a little bit annoying.

The first question is not helpful, as it was all these reasons except Reputation (you could change the Q so the user can tick as many as they wish. The hotel is just right for my needs. It is not a bland, modern place, but neither it is it a neglected old place. It is a nice balance. Needs double glazing on the rooms that face towards the busy A road

The room was comfortable and clean and the reception staff seemed friendly enough The comments I have all suround dinner. I arrived at 19.00 for dinner and there was my self and one other table (3 covers in all) and we all ordered at the same time it then took over an hour for three meals to be cooked. During that time we were treated to the chef telling his kitchen porter he was only there to do the washing up and also the chef's various grumblings about his being short staffed. The meal when it did arrive was ok, the crab cakes were obvisously made from tinned crab and were fried in oil at a too low a temperature because they were a little soggy. The main however was tasty and the veg cooked properly. The glass of white wine I was served was warm and not the best I have drunk.

I asked for a taxi to be ordered and it was done for me and it arrived right on time.It was no frills but I absolutely got what I paid for. I had been to a Christmas event elsewhere but got back at 00.15am. Unfortunately as the room was directly over the disco it was mega nosiy and did not finish until 01.30am so shortened my sleep. As the hotel was not very full I would have thought with some planning ahead I should have been given a different room away from that area p.s I did not want to move room at that time of night so was not interested in complaining and stopping peoples celebrations/moving room

Rooms were clean and smart with plenty of space for clothes etc. Very convenient for getting to the nec. Dinning was lovely and fresh and on the whole the staff were lovely. The hotel wasn't very warm in the public places and we had to ask for the heating to be put on in the dining room which they did. Also we could not stay in the bar because of a awful smell which they could'nt explain why.

The staff were great, very helpful and polite. The room was clean and tidy. My visit coincided with two tour groups on the Saturday night, Which meant the hotel struggled to cope. The room was cold, there were no tomatoes or mushrooms for breakfast on the Sunday morning, then they 'found' some tinned ones. Access was very poor for a person with limited mobility and totally inaccesible for wheelchair users. The advertised free wifi throughout the hotel was not working all over the weekend.

Picked Quality Inn Coventry equally for location, price and good reviews. We were visiting family nearby in Coventry and going to the nec the following day. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again for location and price.

“Very pleasant staff, good value for money. A lot of parking space, we arrived late after a conerence ( after ten) and the hotel must have been full because about forty cars were parked up but we managed to squeeze in. Room very clean and comfortable. No problem booking in or out, staff helpful and pleasant.” Garry, Ushaw Moor |
