Lax attitude of staff. Couldn't get simple requests right even though request was made in writing. Breakfast table lacked basic requirements, even had to stop staff and ask for things. Reception desk staff, I felt, couldn't be bothered. Tried to check in at 1.55pm and was told that check in wouldn't be until 2.00pm. They never asked us to be seated until then. Had to suggest this ourselves. Waited until 2.05pm and returned to the desk to ask if we could check in then. Not terribly welcoming. Would not return.

The restuarant and swimming pool were nice The hotel was very dated, the room wasn't clean and it was not worth the £144.00 per night we paid to stay there.

The staff were very good, always asking if things were ok. The food was excellent. Location and settings of the hotel were excellent. I will definitely be staying there again in the future. The room we stayed in was good, but the bathroom tap dripped all night , Also the walls round the windows were damp But hey I'm not fussy about little things like that

We liked how close it was from motorway but yet didnt seem like you was close to it. Also wasnt far from Windermere or other places which we visited. The staff was very friendly and helpful especially one guy who worked Friday night unfortunately didnt get his name but such a character and made us laugh from start to finish of his shift and made the visit worthwhile. Cant say but about "dislikes" only little thing was pool was cold but thats it.

I liked the location. We were told the wrong time for breakfast when we checked in but the staff in the morning were really accommodating & still let us eat & finish breakfast. Service at reception

The restaurant and food were the best feature, which also included an excellent breakfast choice. The room was quite small and stuffy, unable to open the window to get some air in.Quite noisy to outside traffic.

A very friendly and welcoming hotel with excellent staff who could not do enough for you. The accommodation was very good and the food in the restaurant was excellent, you rarely come across a hotel or restaurant were there is a good choice of vegetarian meals. We very much enjoyed our stay and will definitely return. We have no adverse comments about this hotel.

Food was very good all home made very good portion sizes chef very passionate about cooking Reception staff seemed flustered, not enought staff to manage reception and bar when we ordered food . Wasn't told about pool facilities by staff. Rooms dated and small for price bathrooms need updated and shower and bath area flakey and therefore appeared dirty. Access to hotel limited trying to enter on a main road is hard when it's the same exit that people use to live. Needs a separate exit and entrance to avoid accidents. For price of room bottle of water in room would be appreciated as not everyone drinks tea and coffee

The only reservation I have about my stay was that the wifi didn't reach reach to my room, I was on the top floor, which meant I had to work downstairs in the foyer, on tables which were too low for working on laptops. The next time I visit Kendal, I will request a room that has wifi.

The room was great, on-suite was very nice and the overall decoration was very nice. The bar and dining area looked very inviting, although we didn't use them as we only stayed for 1 night! The best thing about the hotel was definately the indoor swimming pool/spa. Jacuzzi and sauna were amazing and the changing facilities had very nice showers! N/A
